So it makes me wonder...

Is it that when we are falling in love with someone, we are naturally practicing mindfulness because we want only to be with that person and be fully present in those moments?  Or is it that being in Love alone, creates the experiences of Bliss, Joy, etc.  Maybe it's a little of both or neither.

When we are practicing Mindfulness, we are completely present and we can only experience the Divine in the present... We can't go back into time and retreive it and we can not project into the future and experience it.  We are touching the Divine in the present and experience it (create it) within ourselves but what came first... The feeling of Love or being present and Mindful?

Neither comes first. Didn't you know thet the chicken is te egg's way of making more egs? (quote from R.A.W)

Love is the physical expresion of the unity of existence. Being mindful alows us to directly tap into it and eventually see it as it is, which is everything. When we are not in the present we're experienceing either a memory f that unity or the future expectation of it, not the real thing.

Hi Lighthouse,

When you say "I've been practicing Mindfulness recently" what does this mean? Sorry to sound ignorant, but (other than dreams and a few other things) I'm pretty ignorant to alot of this stuff.

Lighthouse

Fisherman,

What I mean by practicing "mindfulness" is, being "present" in my experiences... not thinking about the past and not thinking about the future... Being completely aware of what I'm doing, what is going on around me as it is happening instead of living in the past or future.  This is the art of being Mindful, living in the Now.

Blissful

Being mindful, being enlightened, being touched by an Angel, feeling love not just from friends, family and lovers, but feeling the love of oneself, of feeling and knowing you are balanced..... all of these things put you in a state of BLISSFULNESS!
It's like being totally engulfed in good vibrations and not having to "know" where it's all coming from.

My view would be that we all tend to get caught up in the day to day activities, problems, and stimuli of the physical. However, when we take the time to be mindful, look within, meditate, and the like, we will hopefully experience feelings (as Lighthouse wrote) of who we really are, that is, interconnected aspects of the Divine.

I know EXACTLY what you are saying, but I am the curious one and I WANT TO KNOW!!!!! lol

I think you might understand what it was that I was feeling in another of my posts. In my experience (brand new) this feeling would hit me like a train. I think you defined it really well blissful, but I can definitly say for certain that it wasn't me, my feeling balanced or anything like that. I would be sitting at work or wherever and the feeling/energy would hit (like getting a hudge hug). I was confused at first, but thought "WOW THAT WAS COOL" and went about doing what I was doing. The main thing that showed me that this was not me was that it would happen some days each hour at the same time EXACTLY! I would look at my wristwatch and laugh to myself, because it would be happening at the same time again. I tried to examine what I was doing, thinking, eating, drinking that day or at those times, but nothing fit. I guess Lighthouse comes close with the explanation that it's like "the same feelings I had when first falling in love with someone..." When mine would hit it's sooo much like that, but even way more intense for me with energy and something I can't even put into words. I wish I could explain this I words, but It's pretty difficult. It's definitly like instant BLISS!!!

I think I scared whatever it was away though because it hasn't hit me like that since last week! [:(]

I just know THIS WASN'T FROM ME

Fisherman,

It comes and goes for me but when it comes... it's so great and it comes more often than it used to come before I started being Mindful... You can create it by being mindful... In fact, I just wrote a speech about it because I had such a great experience when sitting down at Starbucks one afternoon, hust being Mindful and watching everything around me... being completely present.

I have found that if I allow myself to be mindful (live in the moment,) I create this bliss for myself... to varying degrees, yet bliss just the same.

Hope this helps!
