lol this is turning into a DB/Z forum.
All I can say is that Tien and Chuosu are both very developed, also Piccolo who can do pretty much everything Tien can do, plus he is stronger and is seen meditating alot in DBZ.
I guess Goku after training at Kami's palace in DB most likely developed spiritual powers too, after all Mr. Popo tried to make him meditate, but the show only shows a few episodes of his training where he thinks meditation is boring, but at the tournament it shows that it payed off afterall.

I wish DBZ would focus on charcters like Tien and Chousu more, because I find many of the minor characters way cooler than the Saiyans.

I know this sounds a bit far fetched, but if some one who practiced energy work for a very long time (probly 100's of years) could they learn how to make visible ki balls that could actually inflict alot of physical damage? Also, could people possibly learn how to make incarnations of themselves (like on dragonball z when piccolo splits into 3 copies of himself, or when Tien splits into 4 people).

Everything is possible, but some powers will support end enhance you psychic evolution, so other will turn into self destructive tendencies. Why would somebody split his being into many aspects?

There was a fairly long series here in the UK called "Mind, Body and Kick-butt Moves".

The host was a martial artist himself and visited many places in Asian to learn about their martial arts.

Lots of them involved energy work - one guy could shoot negative bolts of energy into you, and demonstrated it on the host who yelled out in pain!

There were lots of examples of this kind of thing, so yes I guess it is possible.

There is no purpose, our purpose is to do what we want, and power allows that. Great power has responsibility only to the responsible, who will seek to regulate the power of the irresponsible if it interferes with them. Do I think I do my responsibilities? What you are identifying is trance meditation, very different from focused manipulation or contemplation meditation.
