Hi everyone!

I'm new at the forums...

I just wanted to share my experience with you:

I was dreaming about crashing at some friend's house. I was feeling so tired (in the dream) and the only thing I wanted was to get some sleep, so I did (falling asleep in the dream). Next thing I know, I'm standing in front of a wide mirror (similar to the one I have in my bathroom above the sink). The strange thing about that part of the dream, was that I was feeling a strange kind of awareness. I remember being able to think consciously at that point and reminding myself that "it's impossible to dream inside a dream!" and so I said to myself "Great! so I guess, I'm having a lucid dream. Now I will have total control of my surroundings!" That's what I thought... When I turned around, I saw the same image of me standing in front of a mirror. And the same image was on both of my sides. The field of vision I had during that part of the dream is very hard to describe. It was so overwhelming, I had to wake up. When I did so, I felt confused. Also, it seemed very weird to me, since I never experience that feeling in the morning.

Was it an OBE?

Have you ever fallen asleep inside a dream too?

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Go there and scroll down to the "Astral Vision" section and read about the spherical vision.  It sounds like that might be what you experienced.  I'm not sure if that automatically means you were having an OBE or not... but someone will probably post who has more experience than myself and help you out.

Let me know if that's what you think it was... I'm curious!

PS:  Welcome to the forums!!!

also, if you're new to the OBE/astral projection...  read that whole tutorial from the link above, very helpful... later!

Hey! flowdiggity...

That thing about spherical Astral Vision is just Exactly what I had experienced during that "crazy mirror" part of my dream. OBE, AP, Lucid Dream...? I don't know which of them I had, for sure, but... I suspect the Alice In Wonderland Effect was responsible for my confusion.

Goodbye.

I don't think dreams within dreams are that unusual, I had one myself last year. Possibly they are more common than people think. In any case, it's not impossible to have a dream within a dream.
