Alright so I've been trying to successfully OBE for about a week now... I seem to be making some progress on my full week off basically doing nothing but read and sleep haha. Anyways, last night I was lying in my bed markedly relaxed, earplugs in. After about a half an hour(?) I suddenly had this POWERFUL sensation overcome my whole body it was like energy just flowing through it filling it up. My whole body got really heavy it kind of felt like i was pressing my body down to the bed so I tried relaxing more and I wasn't actually pressing. At the same time, the blackness behind my eyes turned somewhat 3d for a bit. Then after like 20 seconds of this my eyes slightly opened because i saw a bit of light coming through the bottom of my eye. I got frustrated as hell (WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY EYELIDS?!) and rolled over and fell asleep. I've always been able to induce this sensation over my body while fully awake but I can only hold it for a few seconds.. it makes my muscles twitch at random when I'm not fully relaxed I guess. Was this the vibrations? Other times I've actually felt my body vibrating like rumbling all over so I'm not sure. Anyways, give me your thoughts.

I've had a couple"issues" with my eyes related to this sort of work:

1.  Often, with a large increase in energy in the 3rd eye center I experience what I term "periobital seizures".  Basically, the musculature around my eye sockets rapidly contracts and relaxes in a manner that I'm sure would look pretty freaky to an observer.

2.  When I'm lying in bed in the dark and trying to project or whatever I find my eyes slowly begin to open on their own.  Interestingly, I find specifically that they will open and then begin looking upward and to the right...they just sort of roll all the way to the upper right corner.

A solution for the 1st problem might be progressive muscular relaxation.  Tighten all the muscles around your eyes, squint tightly and scrunch your forhead muscles up as well.  Hold that for a good while and then relax them.  I combine this with autogenic actions so as I relax the contraction I mentally tell myself "my eyelids are becoming relaxed and at peace"...or words to that effect.

A solution to the second issue for me has been to use an eye covering of some sort...like a sleep mask.  I just use a thick black sock.  I fold it over and place it over my eyes and make absolutely certain that it is completely obscuring any light.  This has been important for me because now when I see light(s) and/or begin to see the room, I know that it's astral vision or some such phenomenon rather than me simply misattributing some metaphysical cause to the rather mundane act of accidentally opening my eyes in the dark.

Cool man, thanks. Yeah I've been wanting to try a sleeping mask. I've been folding up a blanket and kind of wrapping it around my head it doesn't really work though. In regards to the muscle relaxation, I've tried it before and it seems to help a bit but how are you suppose to tense your eyelids lol like which direction do you work them in to keep them closed? because theres so many fawkin muscles of the face and eye.
