Is it Possible to have mutliple projections

Reason I'm asking this is because when I induce SP, usually when I come out of it, if I start going back to sleep, I can feel it coming on again uncontrollably, and the only for me to stop it from re-occuring is to get up, or stay awake for some time. If I could project, wake up, fall into sp, and project again, that'd be great.

Anyone do this?

Novice

Yes -- it happens to me a lot. I don't OBE a lot, but when I am able to get out, I find that when it ends and I can immediately induce another one, and another one. On nights when I OBE, I usually succeed 3-4 times the same night.

Hi blade

My OBEs tend to involve me separating an average of four times, one after the other.  In between each time, I switch focus to the physical but know that I am in that certain required "state" or "zone" - or whatever you want to call it - to enable separation, and so off I go again.

Yeh same here.. When I project, I would do it about 2 times that night plus I would also have atleast 1 or 2 LD's

Same thing for SP, I don't get it often, but if I do, I have it atleast 4 times that night

I cant remember a time where I havent projected and then projected again right after.  I think in the beginning I tended to project once, have my mind blown and sit and ponder it for a while and not try again, but now, once that door is opened once it is SO easy to go back through it.

Simple. When we astral project we fall asleep, remaining conscious. Some techniques that are used can help in 'stilling' the random thoughts which have the effect of short-circuiting one's consciousness. With the thoughts temporarily stilled, it is possible to fall asleep consciously more than once.

In short, we leave the body each time we sleep.

Do you all feel any vibes upon exiting after the first attempt?

Last night I had SP and it wasn't induced (doesn't matter, I would have induced it myself anyway). But right away, it wasn't vibes, it was more fluttering, and it was really intense, the sound was fluttering to, also pretty loud but not terrifying. I was exitting uncontrollably. I felt myself floating out. But I had to exit because I really had to check the time (had to wake someone up and I fell asleep, luckily for only about 5 minutes and then this SP episode happened).

Anyway, I began to induce them later on, and I felt no exit sensations on any of them. I just rolled out of my body without any problems at all. Is this typical?

jalef

i dunno how it is about no exit sensations at all, but i noticed that they become weaker each tiome you project (during multiple projecions) until there is just this typical feeling, that you get when youre about to project.

Selski,

Its been awhile since I've had a series of obe's one after another. Normally, after the experience is over I awake to the physical jumping for joy and writing down the journal entry.

I find it difficult after that to go back to sleep or if its early in the morning, consider myself up for the entire day.

After so many projections, the vibrations you learn to control, feel and actually come to enjoy. I think its more of acceptance and not fearing like you did at first.

I havent personally had exit sensations for a LONG time, so long in fact I cant remember the last time exactly.  I did have some strange vibes in my leg the other night, almost like when your leg falls asleep except pulsing and shaking, very strange.  When I did have sensations usually I would have them the first time and then none after that.

Hi TVOS

That's interesting - I thought multiple projections were the "norm".  Mine literally are one after the other.  It's as if I reach a certain state and I am in that state for, say, 5 minutes.  During that 5 minutes I can exit my body, however, due to surprise or whatever, I get snapped back - BUT I'm still in the state so I am able to exit again.

I don't get vibrations (not like people describe anyway).  I occasionally get the odd sensation, but nothing like the famous vibes.

Guess what?  I had this about 2 years ago.  It was strange because I was quite awake when it happened (although I was in bed relaxing).  Both my legs were doing it.  One leg was vibrating forwards and backwards really fast, and the other was too - but opposite, so when one went forward, the other went backward.  I thought it was funny.

Selski,

Yeah, it has been awhile since I've had the sequence of projections one after another. When I was younger (18yrs ago) I would have a series of projections and at times it was extremely hard to recognize if I was finally back to the physical. I've made a conscious decision in the past year to focus on the one experience and not have the series of obe's due to losing the memory download.

Your not missing anything with the vibes - it can be alarming experience at first, but eventually one learns to relax and accepts it. Have you ever felt vibrations while out of body?

Selski-
Very interesting. My experiences are very similar to yours. I've never felt vibrations, noises or any of the other side-effects/pre-cursors others describe. The only sensation I feel is the actual seperation. I really enjoy that too. Its this light and airy feeling.

And I too, don't remember exiting and then upon returning just waking up. Once I'm out its like my body remains in that state very easily. When I find myself zapped back its almost like "this is such a waste of time" and I roll back out again. The 'waste of time' being the fact that I was dumped back in my body and have to roll out and get back to where I was to finish my conversation or whatever I was doing. Its more like a little annoyance. Especially if the experiences are only lasting a few minutes. I begin to get really annoyed!

But I do find that my ability to remain out longer and be more conscious of the experience is directly related to my ability to maintain awareness during waking hours. I'm sure its the habit of being aware that carries over.

Hi Tvos

I asked for them once.  They nearly blew my head off! Great though.

Hi Novice

Yes, it really frustrates me.  At times, I understand that it's because I was surprised or got too excited, but other times I just zapped back for no apparent reason.  It can be annoying, however, it means I have to separate again, and I do enjoy peeling myself away from myself

Could you expand on this?  When you say being aware in waking hours, do you mean living in the present moment type of awareness or just being more awake (as in getting more sleep)?

Thanks!

You were correct the first time. I mean being aware/conscious of what I'm doing when I'm doing it. Eliminating all thoughts and simply being aware of washing the dishes, driving the car, folding wash (oh joy!). The more I am able to do that, the more my projections improve -- both in terms of quality as well as quantity. I tend to become aware more often and am able to increase that awareness and lengthen it too.
