That is a form of brainwashing.... the CIA program is known is MK-ULTRA (check it up if you don't believe me). But these things happend because of the Cold war, which is over.

Our nuclear program is still massive despite the end of the Cold War, and I doubt the Ruskies were the only guys in mind for the MK ULTRA scientists anyway. Manchurian candidates are useful, aren't they?


The Nazis actually pioneered this. They took people from their death camps (is that a conspiracy theory too, now? Wowee at the paranoid Germans during all that, huh?) and tortured them until they eventually developed multiple personality syndrome as a mental defense mechanism against the torture (this is actual science).

From there, literally, it was like Pavlov's dog, except with people with multiple personalities. Brutal stuff, but it works, and is practical for covert ops, because you can eventually have someone switch personalities like flipping a mental switch, or called a "trigger". This is why Sirhan Sirhan admits to the shooting but still claims he doesn't at all remember it, and same for Lennon's murderer. These guys have undergone psychological analysis just to have licensed professionals suggest the same thing.
