Just a quick one...  Nearly all of my lucid dreams involve me meeting dead members of my family.  What does this mean? Is this normal?

Principle

Before I was even aware of Astral Projection, I believe I met my grandmother (RIP) in the Astral Realm, where we got to say our final goodbyes. I definetly believe it is possible and normal for some. However, sometimes you can be tricked by negative spirits and entities, disgusing themselves as members of your family.

I don't believe that the meetings I have had have been with negative entities (I can tell).  Are the people I meet there in my lucid dreams real (as in the spirit of the person who died) or are they created by me?

Even "regular" dreams are not necessarily all in the mind... But you asked the one million dollar question... You'll never really know what is truth and what is illusion until you reach a level where you are confident about your objectivity...

Since they are lucid, then remember to ask them if they're really them, are they dead, or do they know they're dead, and if they do, ask questions.  I had a persistent visitation from my dad (after he told me he'd be gone for awhile), and I found out that it wasn't him.  In my experience, you can't go wrong if you ask.
I was shocked with the reaction I got from the faker, but soon I began to tell the difference, so I'm glad I asked.
BTW, I got my first real visitation from my dad, (validated) after 3 years after he passed on, and then, fake ones for years (prob. 3 or 4) before I got up the nerve to see if it was him.  When I found out it wasn't, I didn't have any for a very long time.  Now I always ask.

LifeShadow

Why are there fakers then?  are they lost spirits?

CFTraveler

I don't know.  I don't stick around to ask.

Maybe they just think it's fun?

I must say, I'd be very disappointed if I thought I'd met a dead person and then found out it was a faker.

Principle

Like people in the Physical Realm of existance, everyone has their own agenda. This includes Spirits and Entities as well. These False Projections, feel the need to relay and get their own message across to other people. Possibly even affecting your life, in a negative way.

However, Your spirit guide or another being may project themselves as image that they will know you will pay attention to, and hear out. Possibly even warning you of things to come.

Regardless if you believe the Spirit is postive or negative,
Always test it, and ask it its agenda and relation to you.

If it is a positive spirit, it will bear good fruit.
If it is a negative spirit, it will bear no fruits.

Who knows, maybe even in your questioning the Spirit may reveal it's true self to you,
or telling you they may have taken this form, so you will not be afraid and they can get their message across.

Imho , this can be quite normal for those beginning mediumship . Personally , I have never met fake spirit relatives  . I feel that you have a propensity for this and should develop clairvoyant and clairaudient mediumship very quickly if you decide to pursue it . A good method of practice is to sit in circle with peers and develop meditative trance and clairvoyant readings of each other and also to practice with friends and relatives as sitters .

Thank you for your ideas here guys.   Maybe I will consider some kind of mediumistic training. Not quite sure where to start but will think about it.
