Sensing TV Waves??

Kinda depends. I always have closed captions on because I can't hear them in the first place [xx(] I'm not deaf, and don't need a hearing aid...anyways

Sometimes it seems that you can just tell what the people on TV are saying. I don't have much of an explanation for this, except that when you usually pass by the tv rom, you are used to hearing sound, so you've grown accustomed to it. Maybe it is a supernatural thing that actually causes you to hear without sound.

I dont mean telling what there saying or seeing the TV on. I mean, you will have no idea theres a tv on, but you can walk in and hear it, even though theres no volume. Its sorta a very high pitched sound.

Yeah, I hear that too. I think that even though there is no volume, there is still power to the speakers, and that gets translated as that high pitch thing. It's the same as when you have the tv on with just a blank screen or dead air.

Yeah, I do that too. Its like a very high pitched sound that nobody else hears. Before going into the room I hear it.

Yeah, lately I've heard that same sort of noise when my TV is on VIDEO 1. (Blank blue screen)

When a TV's volume is turned down the volume says zero but in actual fact there is still sound coming through, if its really quiet and you put your ear against the tv speakers you can make out the voices of the people on the film or whatever even when the volume says zero. Away from the tv you cant make out their voices but there is still sound coming through the speakers.

Theres nothing supernatural about it, its just common fact.

I believe whole heartedly about supernatural abilities etc but sometimes it gets a bit much when simple things like this get attributed to the paranormal. Such examples is having aural sight and people saying to see your aura put your hand up against a light and you can see the aural glow around your hand, its simple physics, you're not seeing an aura it just the light shining around the edge of ones hand. [xx(]

i can here the tv aswell, but lately on top ofthis, i have been hearing random high pitch sounds in my ear. my friend also interested in metaphysics has also been noticing these, we were thinking maybe waves from when something electric is turned on.. and ideas?[:O]

Well I think a TV is bad example to use if you want to prove something like this. Basically all that's happening is you're hearing high pitched noise coming from the speakers (whether or not you can actually hear it is irrelevant because your subconcious will pick it up) which isn't a strong case for metaphysically sensing things, only that your sense of sound may be more sensitive than other peoples'. Most homes these days don't even have atennas on their TVs anymore, so you can't say that you're picking up tv waves. You would need to experiment with like a muted radio or something, but the test would be what song is playing, not whether it is on or off (without looking at it obviously) because again you would be picking up sounds, not waves.

I mean, usually posts like this are saying that someone has a metaphysical sense for [whatever] so I thought that's what you were trying to say... now I'm just confused [

i o that all the time... im in a ca or in my room radio off, i start humming or singing song then i turn it on and thats whats playing, one of my other friends who hears the high pitch sound to also des this it was a commefcial nd she startd humming then taht commercal came on..

I always figured everyone did this, but i never really asked anyone. You know when someone turns on the TV, but the volume is off. And youll come into the room with the TV, and before you see its on, you can kinda hear it?? Does anyone else here do that??
