Is it a good idea to meet spirit guide through astral projection?

When I'm meditating I am aware of a voice and sometimes an appearance but I'm not 100% sure I'm not making it all up. Is it safe and reliable to meet my spirit guide through an OBE?

Also, is it possible through a lucid dream? During one of my lucid dreams I shouted for my spirit guide (not in an angry manner) but he/she didn't appear.

Dont expect too much from your "guide" (as it is only a higher awareness of yourself).
He´s only here to take care you make the experiences you´ve planned before.

What do you mean "appearance"? Sometimes the voices are in your head and sometimes there not. A good way to tell is to ask questions and if the responses seem to be something that you wouldn't normally say then someone is probably communicating with you.

Of course it's safe to meet your spirit guide while out of body, that's the only way you will ever see them. You will learn to communicate telephatically with them eventually if you try hard enough. It took me a while to realize that someone was communicating with me at first. I am a software engineer and always using my left brain and constanly thinking. So it's difficult to determine when i'm thinking or when someone else is trying to communicate with me telepathically. It will depend on how often you use the left part of your brain. If you are a painter then you will have a clear mind most of the time and be able to realize when someone is communicating with you.

As in a visual appearance in my mind...although I could easily be imagining him/her. Recently I've been testing out this voice and have been asking questions such as 'what time will my bus arrive', 'when will she next text back to me' etc. I've asked a few of those questions and the voice has answered them all correctly so far. But nonetheless it can still be down to luck/smart thinking. At the moment I am only good at asking questions with yes or no as answers...any general questions requiring long answers my mind tends to freeze up.

I think I use both left and right sides of the brain equally a lot. As a Maths and Science student I am trained to see the logical sides of things and provide rational answers to questions. But I am also a musician who now and again writes songs and who likes to dabble with poetry. Hopefully my right side will come out on top more often
