Apparently there are meant to be lots of threads on this topic but I searched in 'Astral FAQ' and 'Permanent Topics' and only found like two  :? If anyone's seen any could they post it here

I had a lucid dream today again (after 2 weeks of nothing). I tried falling backwards, sitting there and willing myself to AP, calling out to spirit guide (who ignored me by the way lol) as people have suggested but nothing happened. I even tried creating a doorway in hope of stepping through to the astral realm but in doing so I was accidentally lead to parts of a book that I am currently reading. Which then lead to human enemies attempting to kill me (and a friend who suddenly appeared when I had stepped through the door) and I had to use telekinesis to throw them off.

But anyways, any simple methods? And how can I judge that I'm in the astral as opposed to LD?

Hi Gbob

Next time you're in a lucid dream... realise that you're physical body is asleep in your bed... then focus your complete awareness on an exit target in your house, say your kitchen... then make the following command... "Now I move to the kitchen"... hopefully the dream scape will then fade away and you'll find yourself standing in your kitchen, though this won't be your real kitchen, just the energy duplicate of your kitchen you experience from your vantage point in the first nonphysical dimension outside the physical.

To test your state... try to change something in your kitchen.  If you can't change something, then you're most likely having an OBE.  If you can change something then most likely you're still lucid dreaming... at which point go through the motions above again until you succeed.

I hope this helps
