Has you ever had this, and if so, how would you describe your experiences with altered vision?

Depends on the experience. Sometimes i have something blocking my view or things are hazy. Other times things are perfectly clear. Most of the time things on the edge of my vision are expanded further on the left and right but it is blurry with my vision focused on what is close.
I wandered slowly there
I saw a field where a thousand corpses lie
Angels sang the hymn of the end
About monsters which they fought
Over our world

When I've managed to egt out in RTZ which has been only a few seconds my vision has been blurry. I have read that vision in the astral should be very clear but I have yet to experience that.

Very interesting since my most recent projection was exactly as you describe here - clear and expanded on the left and cloudy, truncated, and "sleepy" on the right.  I explored that a bit more this time and came to realize that was the side I was lying on, and I could even distinguish the pillow on the right side of  my face!  That realization cause me to have dual perception for a short period where I was in the projected state and also in my physical body concurrently. I lost that dualism very quickly, but it was interesting.

OK, let me add a bit more to this thread by offering my experience once out of body.  Typically I have a hard time exiting my body, but the experience is very real and I am very aware during that process.  Once out though all hell breaks loose or I feel out of control.  Typically I'll start OK, seeing things clearly in the new environment (always quite a bit different from reality) and having very good focus.  That however deteriorates very quickly - I seem to "fall into" intense dream sequences where I'm rushing through things at great speed and then I'll pop back into the vibrational state back in my body.  From there I can project again, but my control seems to remain very limited.

I've been having a hard time remembering to use affirmations to direct the flow, and I think that is the key.  Each time I have used an affirmation it has seemed to work well.  For instance, during my first projection I was in a fast forward dreamlike state and then I made a command, "go look at your body!"  Immediately, the rushing dream stopped and I opened the door to my room and saw my body. Out of curiosity, I even kicked it, and it started to moan!  The point is to remember to use affirmations to direct your projection.  Things like "clarity now", "I'm walking", "take me to Rio", etc. can be very effective, but you have to use them.

I think us newbies just need to keep up the practice until we gain more control.  So, don't give up hope!

Well this morning I believe I had my first real out of body experience... What happened was that I was seeing from my physical body's point of view and from my astral body's point of view simultaneously. It was actually a bit hard choosing between the two, so I had a sort of flickering between the them.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

My vision is mostly more dim than in daytime-reality, sometimes very dark, and sometimes dreamlike like seeing through a glass wall that's not smooth.  :-)
