Here are my first two threads giving a background on me.

So I came across AP and OBE from researching about the sleep paralysis I get once in a while. Anyways the threads I posted above show my first two psuedo experiences. Last night I went to bed I was very tired. I tried to focus when laying in bed but have never felt the vibrations when first initially going to bed. In the middle of the night I "awoke" into sleep paralysis. The first time this happened I didnt know what was happening and felt extremely scared. I felt as if I was dying. Luckily I havent experienced what many other people have during SP such as hallucinations, demons, nightmares, etc.

So as I layed there the vibrations came in waves. I knew what was happening so I thought to myself I would try to leave my body. It seemed the more I focused on it the harder it was so I kind of just layed there and focused on the vibrations. The next thing I noticed was music. It was so clear it felt as if I had headphones on and it wasent really a song that I knew, although I did recognize it. It felt so real. Its hard to explain so Ill try my best. Think as if u never heard a song before, u cant really predict what youll hear next because it is new to u. Although I recognized the song I did not know it well enough to predict what was coming next but it was clear as anything as if I was really listening to it conciouslly (sp).

So finally I felt as if I was separating from my body. I was having a hard to getting out. Felt like my arms first then I really had to struggle to get loose but when I did the music went away, but not completely. I could still hear it as if someone was next to me with headphones on. I then walked through my door into the hallway into my roomates room where I tried to wake him. He awoke and then what seemed to be greeting me as if we havent seen each other in a long time. After this I lost concentration and ende up back in my body....

I once again went through the vibrations and left my body. I went to my front door (from the inside) and saw a package in front of it and two pieces of paper taped to the door, one white and one yellow. I found it odd since it was on the inside and not the oitside. I then walked through the front door outside. I noticed the night sky had a lot more stars than usual and it seemed more special effects like. There as someone in my driveway dribling a basketball and didnt pay any attention to me. I was so aware that I thought that this person was in reality in my driveway and they were for some reason about to break into my house so I looked at the license plate of his truck parked in front of my house and it read 6TGE something. I then wanted to go elsewhere and began to fly out of the neighborhood but was going very slow. It seemed as if I couldnt control my speed. I wanted to go faster but couldnt. The area outside my neighborhood was not how it is in reality. Seemed like a larger city that was more futuristic. There was large TVs along side the main road. Think the Vegas strip. I think I then lost concentration and ended up back in bed. I felt nervous since I though someone was in my driveway so I came too and it was 1:30am. I had only been asleep for maybe an hour. I had a hard time going back to sleep. I almost had the feeling of an adrenaline rush.

So my questions are do u guys think this was an actual OBE? It felt very real and I was fully aware of what was going on. The only part of me that thinks it was a dream was that a lot of things were different from reality. Im still pretty oblivious to these things and I think that me having an issue with sleep paralysis almost gave me a shotcut to have an OBE. So yes, Im not really educated on the subject. Any input/opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

One other thing I noticed was during the vibrational state it felt as if my teeth were clinched down super tight almost grinding.

Snow Pellets

Sounds like you are on the right track.

The vibrational state is key to initiating the OOBE/AP/ETC.

I'm currently trying to work on a method to "auto-suggest" to the body to consciously become aware when it experiences the vibrations naturally.

We experience the vibrational state every night naturally, we just are not usually aware of it.

thanks for the response. Do you have any input on what I experienced means? One thing I noticed today on my front door were 2 paper advertisements. During my OBE there were 2 pieces of paper on the inside of my door. Im not sure if there was a relation to that or not. Also I disturbed my roomate when he was sleeping during OBE and he told me today he woke up last night and had a hard time going back to sleep. I was under the assumption that OBEs were almost in real time. What I experienced outside seemed to be different than reality. Any tips on how to move faster?

AstralBeginnings

Hi S_man_9, congratulations on your first OBE :)

Bear in mind im no expert in this but what you experienced seem like reality fluctuations.  When you go OOB, you dont actually explore the physical world as you do when you are awake, you explore a very close replica vibrating at a higher frequency.  Another level of consciousness if you will.  This is all very similar in most part to the physical as it is so close vibration wise, but thoughts and other things can affect its actual appearance to you.

When I have been OOB, reality fluctuations have been small, but they are present if I look closely.

I could of course be wrong though :)

I agree with AstralBeginnings.

You described this well. I would say you were OBEing just fine. Of the odd things you noticed such as the taped paper on the door or the person dribbling the basketball, could you verify them as real? Really doesn't matter either way but with the odd fluctuations that do occur some validation can be nice.

Good job!

well as I stated earlier there were 2 pieces of paper on my front door the next day although during my OBE they looked different and were on the inside of the door. I talked with my roomate and he said he awoke abruptly around 1am. When I first separated I disturbed him and it was around that time.

Another thing, what the difference between what I experienced and astral projection?

Are you asking what is the difference between an OBE and an Astral Projection?

An OBE is the more accepted term for what we call an "Etheric Projection"... this is projection into the Real Time Zone (RTZ).  That area which is closest to the Physical.
Now... some people use the term "Astral Projection" in the same way, *BUT*, the more widely accepted use is that an Astral Projection is when you're projecting directly to the Astral Plane (or anywhere other than the RTZ).

If that wasn't what you were asking... please ignore me.  ;)

Just to add clarity (or to confuse you more) usually an OBE is experienced as a 'moving out of your body' before going into the RTZ/etheric/astral.  But an Astral Projection is not always experienced that way.  Although I have done both in one sitting- so the jury is 'out'.
