First OBE

Now not entirely my first OBE, but of this kind yes. It was this morning. I had awoken at night early enough to go back to sleep and be more conscious (by accident). I then relapsed into consciousness some unknown time later into a false awakening. I remember that I was alert about my surroundings, because something bothered me near the door. I then realized my alertness towards this drew me towards it. I fluttered in consciousness, arriving about 6 ft away from where I sleep.
Some distinct qualities of this state that made this OBE a first and unique: I felt like my surroundings were different, kinda like a twilight state; I felt like I was in sleep paralysis; my consciousness included my visual perspective; and I could feel what I was passing. Also, I noticed almost a matrix of orange wide weave on my ceiling, a little luminescent.
I had then returned to my bed position, and again willed myself forward, but progressively getting closer to my starting position, and returning back to bed. Then I awoke from there.

Any comments??

This felt like a genuine OBE, being that I was starting from SP, and recognized it as such, but then was able to do something new and in the frame work of going OB.

Hallo Radman
Yes indeed, that certainly Does appear to have been a full conscious OBE. I like the way that you noticed something different or unusual in the dream/false awakening state and then made the connection into the OBE. I believe that false awakenings and lucid dreams are the perfect 'windows ' for going out of body. I have been able to transition several LDs and false awakenings into OBEs. In fact I currently repeat this affirmation, "I will recognize an incongruity in my next dream and become lucid" several times each day. So far it has not worked and yet I will keep repeating it until it does work.

Thanks man for replying. I don't use many affirmations, probably should. I like yours, hope it works well. I'll have to try and incorporate a good affirmation into some of my customs/rituals to try and affect my consciousness during dream state. I have instances where I suddenly feel dejected from my surroundings and even my body, wonder if this time would be great to mentally state an affirmation. Any suggestions on good times? Usually when I become semi-conscious of dreams they're totally absurd, but when I become lucid, it's mostly me by myself.

radman.
A quick comment about affirmations. It is just basically saying out loud what you want to do while out of body. Some affirmations are more commonly used. The best example is, "Clarity Now!" But you can use affirmations to help you do anything and achieve anything that you set your mind to do OOB.
