I was aware that I was dreaming, yet things were different. It didn't feel like a dream... I tried calling out "MORE CLARITY PLEASE" or "More clarity NOW", but to no avail. In my dream (or whatever), I first became aware when I was moon-jumping in my living room. The weird part was, it seemed just like my normal living room. We actually call it the family room, but w/e. The main downstairs room with the tv in it. It wasn't dreamlike at all. It was just my normal, standard family room. The tv was off and the eyeball lights (at least thats what I call em, cuz they're in the ceiling and look like they have eyelids, cuz of the shades that angle the light at the fireplace) were on. I went through the back door, or at least tried to. It was quite difficult and awkward. This was the point when I tried calling "MORE CLARITY (please / now)". I saw the moon and then everything started swirling and I was back in my bed. During this, I had a moderate sense of every emotion, including fear. I conquered it easily by thinking of good things. This dream was really, really weird in the sense that it was so quiet and dark, and everything wasn't different than it is in real life. Again, everything in the house was the same.

....Now that I think of it, I can remember something. I got up out of bed and went downstairs. I forget how. But then I remember moon-jumping. It woke me up a little, and then I was semi-lucid. I don't know what this was. It was very tiring, though.

What do you think if this?

Thanks,

-Don

Hey Don

Seems you attained a high level of awareness in the dream. When this happens to me I get in touch with every thought, emotion - just how you describe.

Oh really?

Hmm... I've been much more aware in other dreams. This one i was actually quite dull and boring, but interesting nonetheless. I was intrigued to go outside and explore the world more, but I didn't have the energy.

Now that I think about it, there were no other characters in this dream. It was just me. And I was alone in the world at night.... and it was lovely.

I'd say you had an astral awareness experience.  Congrats!
This is how easily one can have an astral awareness experience via a dream awareness experience.  :)

It's dreams like that in my past (I've had MANY of them) that tipped me off as to the nature of the experiences compared to what people call astral projections.

What exactly do you mean by "An astral awareness experience"?

I'm interested in learning more about these.

My perspective of these non-physical adventures we go on is like this:
I don't view things like "dreams", "lucid dreams" or "astral projections" as something that we *do*.  I view them as states of mind that we are.  I believe these are internal experiences, not external.  What I mean by this is explained by how I label my experiences.  I use the following labels.

"non-physical dream awareness experience" - this is what most people would refer to as a normal dream.
"non-physical lucid awareness experience" - this is what most people would refer to as a lucid dream.
"non-physical astral awareness experience" - this is what most people would refer to as an astral projection.

Now, my opinion is that all of these different categories (dreams, lucid dreams, astral projection, obe, etc) are all the same phenomenon that take place in a reality frame that is not this physical reality.  Instead of people saying "I had an astral projection", I think it's more correct to say "I am/was astrally aware"... since if you're in the non-physical (aka: a reality that isn't this physical reality), then the only thing that sets it apart from, say, a "dream" is how consciously aware you are while the experience is happening.

Through my own experiences, I understand them all to be the same thing.
