Mother of god Tom, there's a helluva lot of reasing in those links.Two questions;

1> Would I be right in thinking that RB's "Treatise on Kundalini" has not yet been released?

2> Has anyone followed to advise of Donna http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2400&SearchTerms=kundalini and if so how did you fare?

Yes, there was more reading than I remembered, having done it gradually rather than all at once like that. But then, it was the best way to answer the question.

1) Yes. Just "Astral Dynamics" and PPSD so far, but then, Robert Bruce has had a few things to say on kundalini in those threads up there.

2) The Sahaja Yoga picture didn't do much for me. I followed the instructions and barely got a reaction. It was something, but not much.

Thank you, Tom, for the links to some of the older discussions.

Robert's personal experience was very interesting, and was the exact sort of thing I was looking for.  I should add that I have no interest in awakening the Kundalini myself, so I really have no use for information on "how" to raise it.  I really just find the topic fascinating, and have a habit of obsessing on things until I feel I have a certain understanding of them.  I'm "well read" on the subject, but I feel I'll learn more when examining personal experiences.  But, I suppose there aren't very many out there with first-hand knowledge.

In Robert's post he does mention physical pain, and the need to properly prepare oneself for the experience, both physically and spiritually.  I remember reading somewhere that if a person was "truly" ready to awaken the Kundalini there would be no pain, just bliss.  The pain experienced was a warning to those who dared "cross the line" before they were ready.  Have you ever come across this belief?  A lot of people in some of those discussions seem to want to force it, even after a warning from Robert.

Tom

Kundalini is not something I want to comment on at this time. I will anyway. Suppose a person says "this is my experience with kundalini". The immediate question becomes "how do you know it was kundalini". There is a lot of false information about the subject, so there is a tendency to jump on anything that anyone says. In Buddhism the term kundalini is not used very often, but it is used to refer to drops of energy in the body which are brought into activity by melting them.

This is not directly about Kundalini but you might want to take a peek.

I read some comment that says most of the danger of "kundalini awakening" (and I use this this term loosely) can be alleviated by first practising Microcosmic Orbit.

Hello all!

   Firstly, I would like to say I am new to the forum, and relatively new to the internet and the plethora of information available at a simple click of the mouse.  I am delighted that there is a sight, such as this one, where people are encouraged to share the experience of their spiritual journey's without fear of ridicule.  Thank you.

   I would like to know if members of this forum have had experience with "raising Kundalini"... I am specifically interested in hearing of their personal experiences, whether they are negative or positive.  I have heard many arguments both for and against raising Kundalini.  There are even people who have not experienced it themselves and still warn others against spiritual exercises such as formal meditation, especially transcendental meditation and chakra meditation, yoga, etc. for fear of a "spontaneous" Kundalini awakening.  I feel that they equate Kundalini with madness.  Then there are some that believe Kundalini is "enlightenment", and the very pinnacle of any spiritual journey.  I am very interested in hearing your thoughts and experiences on this subject.

To those who choose to share, thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
