Hearing a conversation that occurred miles away

Hi all, I'm new to the board. I haven't OBEd in many years. It takes a lot of dedication for me to achieve this state. I would like to try again, though my life is so busy I'm not sure I'll be able to devote much time to it. That said, in my early twenties (before I had a child and a career), I was extremely dedicated to the pursuit of OBEs and had a few very interesting experiences. My purpose here is to recount two of these experiences and see if anyone has had any of a similar nature.

I went through a period in which I would wake up in my body, looking out through my closed eyelids. This would happen in the afternoon when it was bright and sunny. I usually attempted OBEs in the daytime because it cut the fear for me. Night time with shadows and darkness = scary. Bright daylight = not so scary. In any case, I would "wake up" in this state, feeling like a nut in a shell, rattling around in my body, and try to roll out. During this period, I was continually getting stuck at the abdominal area and unable to completely free myself from my body. Still, in this partial OBE state I had two notable audible experiences.

1.) Hearing pieces of music that blended one into the next. After the experience I realized I'd probably been picking up radio stations.

2.) And I once heard my father's voice. He was having a conversation, but I could only hear his side of it. It was like listening to him talk to someone on the telephone. He was talking about me. His voice came from the left, was faint, grew loud (like he was in the room with me), then faded away toward my right. After the OBE was over, I called him to ask about this conversation. As I said, it had been about me (and had been slightly critical). I was able to recount word-for-word what he'd said. He verified that he'd had that conversation with my stepmother as they'd been driving on the highway past my house, (though that highway is MILES away). This (I think) accounts for the left to right fading phenomenon I experienced. It really impressed my skeptical father. It impressed me too.

I read on a thread here on the forum that sometimes tooth metallic tooth fillings can pick up radio frequencies, which may account for hearing the music. I do have metallic tooth fillings, though I've never know them to act as receivers at any other time.

What about the conversation? Has anyone had an experience like this before? If so, what's the theory? Mine has something to do with sound wave frequencies, although it's sort of half-baked. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on the subject.

Very fascinating validation. When you said you were stuck in the abdominal area, was your etheric head separated? Was your etheric feet separated?

Teeth picking up radio is a possibility if they are not too good but you need to be very close to the transmitter which needs to be sending amplitude modulated signals.
Its more likely to be a connection with your father via remote viewing processes.
Its one of those things that happen once and get discounted as strange by most people.

I could lift up my etheric head and shoulders, but could go no further than that. I was completely stuck at the abdominal area. I've wondered if maybe it was an issue with my solar plexus chakra. I'm not sure about my feet.

It was very strange. It was also, by far, the best personal proof I've had that we can perceive things far beyond our bodies and in ways that should be impossible. Best gift I've ever received.

I once had the same exact thing happen to me, after waking from a lucid dream where I was flying. I rose my etheric head and shoulders, to a loud shrill sound, but found myself stuck at the stomach as well. Most of my successful OBE's are where I float up and out. Though one time, I felt a tug at my feet, and my legs and torso and shoulders rose up, but my head became stuck instead. I have no idea why this happens though.

Yes, this happened to me a number of times. Most of these experiences were followed by a sense of panic and the projection quickly took a turn for the worse. Scary voices, franticness. To me they occur when its like I half projected. My understanding of this is that you havn't completely disconnected yourself so you are getting two different data streams. One phsyical, one astral.

I must ask, was it one whole half of your body that was stuck?

Maybe if you are in close proximity of a strong radio station - but close means a few hundred meters. And this also only if it is an AM transmitter. Ultra short wave stations use a different modulation method (frequency modulation) which can not easily be decoded by a simple rectifier.
I'm occasionally too hearing music in states of alternate consciousness. It either is something known (in full blown surround sound) that my consciousness recreates, but sometimes it is something completely new. Then it is not just a simple monophonic melody but a full arranged and mixed down pice of music, once even including a full text ! Too bad that I could not download it The best I can do is remembering the melody, forcing me to wake up and hum it into my voice recorder to rebuild it later from scratch. But forcing you to wake up from this state is like jumping into ice cold water - I never dared to do it, thus most of the music I couldn't bring into this world this way.
