My girlfriends 8yo son has been telling me about OBE's and lucid dreams he's been having, and he's dying to learn more about them. Is anybody aware of study material specifically for children?

Hi,
I found nothing generally, its a subject that gets little attention when very young.
There are some on this site who have done this since their earliest memories. You may want to ask a few questions on his behalf. Its probably the best route to travel.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

I just spent about a hour searching for some info on this as well and found nothing. But, this site has a lot of great info and you could decipher/read it to him. It could be like your own special "bonding" time.  :-)
Good Luck!  :-)

It's great that you want to find info for the little guy, and help him.  This whole thing is as far as I've so often heard, pretty easy for many children and they are quite naturally good at it.  But of course someone or other at some point will inevitably imply that they are doing something bad, or it's all just an overactive imagination and not to bother with it anymore.  Children likely just assume at first that everyone will relate to the things they tell about.  Good job for listening to this child.

That said, I don't know of any books or anything written for children specifically.  I agree with the others though.  Just goggle it yourself first and find somethings he might be able to ready (with help from you) on the internet.  There are members on this site who must have a few cool experiences from childhood to rely to him, things that won't freak a kid out.  I agree with Szaxx.  Ask question for him too.  Just be sure to say you are asking for a child and obviously most people will be careful with their answers.

That is great if 8 years old boy has started lucid dreaming and OBE's. There is nothing specifically for children. I think everything is same as for children and youngsters.

Unfortunately, there's about 700 miles between me and my girlfriend and her son, but I'm trying to help him as much as I can. Because it's a long distance deal, I was just wondering if there were things for him to study when I am not there.

The lucid dreaming is fairly easy to teach. I bought him a dream log which he has been keeping diligently, and the next time I see him I will help him start analyzing his dreams, and we will work on reality checks.

Last time I saw him, he started talking about having sleepovers at his friends house and having the exact same dreams as his friend, and after some questioning I thought they might have had OBE's, and I told him about them, what they were, and such. And he wanted to learn more about them. Perhaps I could give him the Steve G. Jones audio? That seems fairly easy to comprehend.
