The problem:

The issue is that I get vibrations (sometimes with the buzzing noises), and they will linger for a while before they disappear. After they disappear, I try getting up and nothing.

More information:

  • I will drift in and out of sleep; getting into a state where I will naturally find myself in vibration mode
  • From my previous efforts, I just let the vibrations play out. However, I find some thoughts tending to interfere with the process which i simply ignore. I take the back seat and let them do their thing without me putting any deep attention to them.
  • Is it these uncontrollable random thoughts that are stunting my progress? I do not exercise these thoughts, I look past them the best I can so that I am unfazed by them. But I could be doing something wrong? I don't know

Once you experience vibrations, what is the next step? Appreciate any feedback!

i think the point is to fall asleep but keep focusing iv never had had vibrations and i can still phase.

What method do you use to get out of body, astralee ?

I'm getting somewhat better at achieving vibrations. However, getting past them and out of body is proving to be difficult. Relaxing and "embracing" them is what I've doing, and I've been getting better at prolonging them. Though I am utterly confused when they come to an abrupt end. Any ideas on what I should (or shouldn't) be doing?

EDIT: spelling

What I found that works for me is as follows: I get to the point you are talking about. Instead of laying like this for ever waiting. I have to let myself start to fall asleep. To do this I roll onto my side and relax. I let my focus drift off and I have found that all the practice done prior anchors my focus to drift back and forth. Within about 30 seconds I get bombarded with thunder and it all happens on it's own. No method required.

Those methods are keeping a lot of people too focused on the physical. At least it was doing that to me. Since I practice in the mornings, when I let myself fall asleep I don't fully go to sleep like I do at night (because I'm fully rested already). Any time I feel the signposts, if I try a method it ruins it. Just let it all happen and enjoy it.

Hope this helps I'm still learning. Have only had 4 projections.

Hey, appreciate you helping me out. Mind explaining a little more on how you use anchors? Is it a mental thought you keep referring to? or does it mean something else? The issue is that I get vibrations (sometimes with the buzzing noises), and they will linger for a while before they disappear. After they disappear, I try getting up and nothing. Once you experience vibrations, what is the next step? Hope you can help me further, and I appreciate your response!

EDIT: I edited the entire original post to highlight the new problem I'm facing.

I never let myself fall asleep.  Instead after the symptoms have abated (but you can start doing it when they are still happening) I try a variety of exit techniques, not just sitting up.  Try the rope technique, rolling from side to side, imagining you are floating up from the bottom of a pool of water, and if it isn't working (are you awake?  Are you mobile?) then just lay down and listen to your earhiss until you're back in a deep trance, and try again.
Why?

Detuned_Radio

Thanks for the reply. Any links that provide more information on the ear-hiss approach?

Just incorporate the hissing sound as your point of focus and focus on it to the exclusion of all else.  :)

I focus on a moving object then switch my focus to an image with eyes closed at all times and i keep doing it over and over till im dreaming but im still focusing on the moving object and not my phisical body. Try that. I just seen your post sorry.

Thank you all for your replies, they truly help! I'm happy to say that I've made some form of progress. I managed to get my arms out of my body. However, everything else was stuck inside my body.

Now I need to figure out why the rest of me won't come out lol.

You need to get out of your body quickly.   The quicker you get out, the easier it is to get out.   You have to believe you can get out of your body.   Any doubts will make it harder to get out.
