Can you clarify what you mean?

Well basically, I was told that people who walk towards the light have accomplished their lives and they will no longer reincarnate. It is only those who walk towards the dark who will reincarnate. I was also told that when you walk through the darkness to your next life, someone will guide you (spirit guide?). What I am asking for is whether or not there is any truth to this, or is reincarnation simply different for every individual?

For what I've heard, or mostly read, especially in regression hypnosis literature: all walk towards the light sooner or later, because this is where the "higher levels" are, it is also where "God / The Source" is or at least is near.

There are differences however. Quite a few people seem to 'end up' in belief system territories or even worse stay in lower astral hells (dark?) or stay earthbound as ghosts. Many however land or are guided directly in "Focus 27" where many "humans" generally gather for a stay in-between different human lives on this Earth. But other (ETs, higher avatars) might even go elsewhere because the Earth school is not their usual home and they only came to help or to experience it once.

Are you speaking metaphorically?

"Walk towards the light" = being a good person?
"Walk towards the dark" = being a bad person?

You need to provide some definitions so we know what you're trying to ask.

Good and bad people simply don't exist.
Walking towards the light = someone who has no need to reincarnate anymore, whatever their task on earth was is now finished.
walking towards the dark = someone who doesn't feel as if they are finished living on earth. Someone who doesn't feel like they are done everything they wanted to do, hence why they reincarnate.
