A simple experiment to try

Is this right?: The rods point to the person holding them and to the floor as he walks to the thinker. As he gets closer, they move themselves to cross.

Does it matter if a person holds them? Could I hang them off a table and walk to them thinking.

Hi,

Paul, so far only people and trees.  With the trees we doused their energy then another person tore a leaf of and we doused again to find that the tree had drawn it's energy back in to itself.  Poor thing. Will try dousing for water towards the end of the year.

Beavis, usually they point towards the person you are dousing.  If your arms are bent at the elbow to 90 degrees and you are standing straight, the rods should point forward.  It just takes a little practice to find how loosely to hold them, as they need to be firmly held but without stopping them from moivng too.

I hadn't thought of a person not holding them, it should work no matter what is holding them I suppose.

I'm suspicious of telekinesis of an object being touched by a person. You cant be sure if the person holding it moved it accidentally.

this sounds very cool. my wife is a devout follower of the bible and thinks i am a total heathen for my ap experiments and open mindedness. this kind of thing might actually get her to open her eyes a little wider and let some other spirituality in. thanks again and i will post here again wether it works for me or not.

Beavis, with this experiment it is easy to know if that has occured.  The rods will cross at the same moment, in unison, if you have succeeded, and rather quickly too.  Any other movement apart from that will indicate either that the person holding the rods has moved too fast, fidgeted, projected their own thoughts onto it or another person/being has crossed the path of the rods. Other than that, it is pretty foolproof if the person holding the rods walks slowly and carefully towards you and holds the rods without using their thumbs to control it.

Hi people.

Just thought I would share this really easy exercise for anyone who would like to try it.  

You need two people for this, and one set of L shaped rods...fencing wire will do etc.

One person stands silently and as far as possible without thoughts, while the other holds the divining rods lightly in their hands about shoulder width apart.  The idea is to douse your partners energy field with the rods by slowly walking towards them until the rods cross.  The person holding the rods should also try not to think too much as it can effect the rods.

Once you have established the size of the energy field, the holder then walks back around 20 feet and tells the person to think of the most loving feeling they can remember.  And then the holder walks in again until the rods cross.  You will notice quite a difference in the fields size.

Then do the same using the feeling of anger.....But, make sure you tell them not to push it out, otherwise the holder could get a dose of 'YUK'.  Again you will notice a difference in the size of the field.

You can take this one step further by re-dousing the field at the 'no thinking' level and then walking back at least 20 feet and then have the subject try to cross the rods by reaching out with their energy.  It doesn't matter whether they do it by intent, hand work or with their eyes.  All three of which are old Wizard techniques for Magick.

The idea for these exercises was to let people see that our emotions can easily and detectably (is that a word?) effect the rods.  While the last one came from an inspiration I had to show people that we can easily effect something in the 'real world' by using the power we all possess within us.  

The main reasoning behind the last one was that more people will come to know that we are more than little souls, that we are very powerful beings in our own right.  Have fun with it.
