If you are indeed that sensative the idea of there being several energies trying to get you rattention is a plausable one.  There are several different things you could do to help at the very least calm the places you spend most of your time.  There is a user on this board named Nita.  She is very knowledgable about physical remidies to problems such as yours.  Well that being the attracting of energies.  Have you tried things like insence or rituals to help slow things down a bit?

The dream part I find interesting also.  The reality of the dreams could be part of the reason you have difficulty waking up.  For all intents and purposes your body could be thinking you are actually there, even if your mind knows it is a dream.  If you are fully aware durring this you could try telling yourself that its time to wake up.  That and concetrating your thoughts on your physical body could help to bring you out of this state when it happens.  Other than that I don't know, it's kinda a shot in the dark.  But many people when projecting or lucid dreaming encounter the experience ending when they start thinking about thier physical body.  What many view as a set back could help you here.

The re-occurring person in your dreams is also interesting.  Again there are several possibilities to why he is there.  Amoung then are the following: 1. He could be an attached energy, either some thing you have been carrying for a while, or some thing you picked up around the time he started showing up.  2.  He could be a watcher entity.  There has yet been no discerned reason for thier appearance but they have taken interest in the functions of humans, mostly when they are alseep.  Thier origin is also unknown.  3.  It's also possible that he is a guide of some kind.  That only you can figure out and it would be through long conversation with him.

You also said that you went to a hypnotherapist with little results.  Did that person have any experience with dealing with attached energies?  There is a web site you could check out for more assistance in finding some one who does deal with this kind of problem. The main web site is here. http://www.witchvox.com/  You can also look people up by your location here. http://www.witchvox.com/xwotw.html   I don't know if you are into the whole pagan religious view or not, it's not important if you are, but many of the people here who offer services acknowledge alternate reasons for various problems.

Up until a couple of weeks ago I was going to a hypnotherapist and she may be able to reccomend some one in your local area if you would like.  I found her through the Witch's Voice Web Site.

I remember a similar experiance I had, but it was more dream like then real.  Everything about the dream was real until it got to the point where I was going to be killed, my killer was usually a beast of some kind.  It would always be changing almost every month.  The dream would take place at school and when I switched schools, the dream would change to that school too.  This didn't stop until I found out that the creature in my dream might have been a neg feeding on my energy (which would explain why during that time I was always depresed and was always tired).  I did what a friend told me to do, he said that if I stand up to it and tell it that I wasn't going to let it harm me anymore and project a sort of light aura from my 'body' that it would go away.  I haven't had any more dreams like that.

So maybe you should try and tell the person in your dream to leave you alone.  It might just leave.

Maybe you are being haunted in some way. Try to contact an expert medium (a truly one, not a fake one!) and see if you have spirits chasing you...you never no!

I know that people that is capable of clean their mind with meditation, can really avoid and eliminate completly that kind of problems. Lucid and open minds (like tibetan monkeys) are immune to such attacks.

So, my advice is: startmaking Yoga and pratice meditation. Will help really very much. Physicall exercises and a good diet (fruits, vegetables, avoiding red meats, etc, etc) can help a little.

When i´m really weak mentally (i mean: having nightmares, being deep depressed, etc, etc) meditation will help me very much. Hope that works with you.

I love you!

Hello Heather,

It could be that your dreams (the one that haunt you) are actually premonitory. Not premonitory of your own future, but maybe premonitory of people being attacked in your neighborhood. Are these vivid dreams where you feel the fear, almost physically disturbing? I had a similar experience which is actually on and off (rather off these days) where I would see corpses, body parts, blood and I found that they were premoniroty of terrorist attacks in Israel. Then I had also vivid dreams that terrorists are after me, that I have to hide, I have to fight, I have to shoot at them, etc... and each time it was premonitory of terrorist attacks. In one case for example I managed to kick the knife out of the hand of the person attacking me. Then I asked him "what's wrong with you?", and he answered me "you haven't yet looked at the news". Then in the dream I understood from the news that there were terrorist attacks all over the country. 2 days later there were several terrorists attacks in Israel in different localtions. I have checked all that to make sure that it is not just a coinscidence, and I found a very clear correlation. I had premonitory dreams of Israel bombing Lebanon, and other similar etc... From time to time there is a person in these dreams with me. He seems just to be there for no apparent reason, just as if being with me. He might be a  guide..? He does not alwasy look the same, but he is kind of old, either bold or with white hair, blue eyes, short and thin. It took me a while to realized and to check that these dreams were premonitions. Since you mentioned that in your family there are many persons who are precognitive, I believe that this is what it might be. I do not have a problem to get up from sleep, however if I do not sleep my 8 h or more I can feel pretty bad and get a very bad temper because I feel tired. I have a need for my sleep, and my dreams, otherwise I am grumpy. And in my family there were some persons who were precog, they knew when they would die for example, or other things.... So it might well not be a negative experience at all. The question is how you interprete what is hapening to you in your dreams. If you really feel bad about it and think that maybe there are spirits bothering you, light a candle and ask the spirit to go away. Make a prayer to God if it is part of your culture. I have posted tens of bloody and awfull dreams on another forum on another web site about premonitions, if you are interested, though I belive you have enough with your dreams, you don't need eother people dreams. ONe of the thing you might try, is to ask that person in your dream if you are lucid dreaming. The other thing is to auto suggestion yourself. Before going to bed repeat to yourself (and maybe write it down) that you want to have nice dreams, no bloody stuff, etc... autosuggestion takes about 2 weeks to work properly. And last, if you believe that your dreams might be premonitory, then start checking the news. First the lcoal papers to see if the crimes you see in your dreams are hapening. And if not in a local newspaper, then try to find out if they are premonitory of events in some other place (other country, etc...). Check Yahoo news for example.

If you wish I can try to help, if you post each time your dream, I am ready to read and listen to see each dream in details as they are coming, day by day (or night by night). And then I can try to see if there is any signs of premonition.

Do you keep a journal of your dreams?

There is also the other possiblity that there is actually something that is bothering you and your subconscious is trying to tell you about it with these dreams. You would still need to keep a journal of your dreams to solve the puzzle.

Heather-

First I want to say Welcome, even though you are having trouble.  I once had a girlfriend named heather, my first to be precise!  Anywho, you are some what of a difficult "examination".  You have many abilities combined into one big blob.  You are Empethic (at least thats what I think it is called.)  Basically you can sense when someone is in a certain mood.)  I also do this.  I noticed this when I was on a website about ESP.  They had a "test" to see what you would or could firgure out about someone picture.  One I looked at, my eyes started to water, as if I was going to cry.  I was in a good mood and not depressed, but no matter how hard I tried, I wanted to cry.  Anyways, the caption on the next page told me that her father had died when she was young, and claimed she was over it, but my perception was completely different.  She was torn inside, and I knew she was.

Ok next, the guy you see- does he seem to harm you in any way, or does he just sit there?  What does he say to you?  Is it your native language, can you hear him?  The reason I say this is because you guide can manipulate him/her/it-self into many forms.  They are there to help you find a way.  I think that the feeling you get when you see this entity is from not knowing why it is always there.  Next chance you get, go to it and ask "in the name of ____ (<-if chrisian, put jesus) I ask you what is your name/purpose?"  They must answer you correctly. (this was on another post, author unknown...)  The entity should identify themself and tell you why they are there.  This brings up another point-can you manipulate your "dream" (IE: can you walk around and talk to people, or do you find it hard to do?  I think that the dreams are more than you think they are, thats why you don't wake.

Ok enough blabbing.  I hope something here will help you with your problem, but remember, you have this for a reason.  It is up to you to find out why.  Like i have always been taught, question everything.

Good Luck, and congrats on you child!

Heather,

Are you lucid in your dreams...?  If you are, did you try to control them?  Did you manage to avoid getting killed in some of these nightmares?  If it can help, you could try to "role-play"; just imagine being wonder-woman or super-girl... [;)]  Or just call for help, sometimes it works for me.  Once, I called for help and a dwarf appeared with a chainsaw and... he took care of the bad guy!  [:D]

What does the man say in your dreams?  What are your feelings for him at that moment?

Personaly, when I want to quickly change my dream scenary, I just let myself fall back (or some people like to spin too, but not as effective for me).  I don't hit the ground; I just go through it and end up in the "void", traveling to another place...  Works too by diving forward, but sometimes I do hit the ground... [:D]  And, many times after falling back and traveling, I would wake up a few seconds after.  I have the opposite problem, I wake up to quickly/easily... [:(]

Last question:  How would you rate your "will power"/intent in general?  Are you strong minded?  Are you lazy?
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

HauntedDreams

This is going to be rather long, so I apologize in advance for being long-winded. I just came across this site and noticed some very knowledgeable people on here, and thought I would atleast give this a shot and maybe get some insight here. (I apologize if this isn't on the correct forum, but at this point I'm not sure where this would fit in or even if it does at all.)

Shoot, I'm not even sure where to start here, there are too many different aspects of my problem here. I guess it's been going on for nearly 10 years now. I do have some knowledge of astral travel but have never attempted it, nor did I research very much on it. But if anyone can help me, I think it would be those familiar with the astral. Please bear with me if I make no sense, I've been up all night as usual.

I have my normal dreams and nightmares , and then there are these other ones. It's like every so often I go through these phases (sometimes every single night for months) with the strange dreams. I've even spoken to hypnotherapists, because all my life I've had the problem of not being able to wake up. Alarm clocks do not work. People can shake me and drag me out of bed and scream at me and I do not wake when I am going through this. I dream so heavily I don't wake up. I thought possibly a hypotherapist could work...instead he acted amazed by my sleeping habits and suggested I get studied at a sleep clinic. (Which I never did, I prefer not to be a guinea pig.)

But for close to ten years now, many of the strange dreams are nightmares of being killed. Or nearly killed, I should say. It's become almost a joke here, "101 Different Ways to Kill Heather." This can go on for weeks every night, a different one every night, all in extremely vivid detail. The places they happen in are sometimes very detailed, down to the torn floral wallpaper on the walls, (and the detailed faces of the killers), things of that nature, and yet these are places and people I've never seen. Years ago when I was going through a period of having these dreams, a close friend of mine mentioned a dream to me that he had had the night before, and in that dream I was with him and we had run into this man at a store who he had described to me in detail, down to a scar on his forehead. He said nothing happened in the dream really, but that he couldn't get the man out of his head. It turned out he had described completely the "killer" that was in my most recent dream 2 nights before. I've never figured that out, but it's always bothered me and made me wonder. I seem to have this habit almost of "involving" others in my dreams, people who are close to me. My Mom even told me of how when I was a little kid, she would hear me and my Dad talking to each other, but that we would both be sleeping, and talking to each other from our rooms across the hallway. She said he would be "helping" me, in one case he was encouraging me to get down from a tree.

But these "dream phases" don't always consist of the murderous ones. Many times they are just very strange nightmares night after night, ver detailed and specific people talking to me, places that are detailed the same way. And I cannot wake up. With my normal dreams and nightmares, I'm able to shake them off immediately after I wake up, laugh about it, and go about my day. With these, I cannot. They stay with me...sometimes it takes me two days to feel "recovered" from one dream. It can go on for months with this horrible "haunted" feeling over me (hence my username), and the best way I can describe it is feeling like you're walking between the land of the living and the world of the dead. Everything seems surreal even in consciousness.

But in the last three years or so, there is something new added to the mix. Whenever I go through these phases now, there is almost always this same man there in my dream. He never says more than a sentence or two, but usually I will just notice him sitting off in some corner somewhere, just watching me. Sometimes he's very clear, othertimes vague-looking, and his appearance actually changes. He can look completely different in different dreams, yet I always for some reason know it's him, and he's always watching me in that same manner. Sometimes it feels ominous, (and once he said something very ominous), but sometimes it doesn't, and I've never been able to figure out what his intentions are. Whenever these dreams occur, I always feel "stalked" by him.

Anyways, I could go on and on about all the different weird and unexplainable dreaming experiences I've had, but that's pretty much the whole of it. If it helps any, I have a few other "quirks" that could be related to this mess I guess. I'm sure plenty of people probably have them, but I, my Mom, her Mom, etc all have dreams here and there that come true. (Although they will barely talk about it, so they're no help in this area.) Also (I don't know if this is usually discussed or accepted here) but I seem to be very "open" to spirits and the like, a magnet of sorts. Even some skeptical family members and friends have noticed it and commented on it. This is the first house I've lived in in many years that I haven't been tormented on a near daily basis, although there are a few "drifters" about. Namely a man and a little girl who keep calling my name directly in my ear whenever I reach the point of sleep and scare me half to death and sit down by my feet on the bed.

And lastly, I seem to "pick up" a lot from other people's energy. This really came about after I had my child, as if my intuition grew very strong. I thought it would go away perhaps after pregnancy, but it never did. I immediately pick up on people's feelings. I thought for a long time that I was just reading into things too much, but that was proved wrong over time. It's very different from that...if I go into a crowded place it's nearly unbearable. I seem to pick up thoughts and feelings from everyone all at once and it becomes a whirlwind of chaos where I have to leave very quickly. Recently I sort of hinted about it when talking to my Mother and my Grandmother. My Mother (in so many words) said she goes through the same and quickly dropped the subject. My Grandmother said the same as well, and even went so far as to explain that's why she's so unsocial, which really surprised me. (She's practically a recluse, and I'm quickly heading down the same path due to this.)

I'm not well-researched on astral travel, but have read before that it occurs in different states, such as the dream state. I'm wondering if this is what is going on...if this is some sort of involuntary astral travel or even if possibly it has something to do with the spirits that seem to take an interest in me for whatever reason. I am planning on reading up on how to control this better if possible, but would appreciate whatever input and what anyone else thinks of this situation. Just please don't suggest I be locked in a padded cell, I don't quite think I can take that right now! ;)
