you may have just been entering a dream. there is a name for this state, i just cant remember it. hopefully someone that does know will post.

It's possible you were about to spontaneously cross over to the astral and someone was there to receive you.

Syke, are you referring to hypnogogic phenomenon that occur around the time when one is about to fall asleep?

Well I see this is the right place to ask my ? . I was in study hall and I closed my eyes about to go to sleep and I saw this vivid image of the auditorium I was in. Well I looked down and I could see my self sitting there and I look up and theres an bright light and a figure. That was just staring in my direction with a percing gaze, then I heard a whisper in my ear somebody call my name which is weird because theres no one close to me who can whisper in my ear......does anybody know what this was?[|)]

I get that alot when I try and project, some times I can hear people I know calling my name "here comes mitch!", or I can see clear images, of say.. a lamp or dazzling lights.
Might be a hypnogic trance in your case, but thats part of most astral projections.

Just to clear it up. I chose Leon, not because of a movie but because of a Book I am writing. The main character's name is Leon. The book's name is Primrose. I'll post when I'm finished with it and if it ever gets published.

also, i wasn't training i was just about to gfall asleep. next time it happens I'll to remember to ask him questions.

one question. how do i astral project on purpose?

It sounds like sleep paralysis to me. This usually goes with nightmares, but sometimes they can be good. It's a deep,vivid form of the hypnogogic state. Either that or you're just a fruitcake...hehe

a few nights ago i was laying in bed when this extremely realistic vision of someone holding their hand out to me and whispering "John" (my name) I could actually hear it say it. not just in my head, I could HEAR it. i opened my eyes cuz it startled me.

Think this means anything?
