PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - A man described by authorities as a known sexual predator was chased through the streets of South Philadelphia by an angry crowd of Catholic high school girls, who kicked and punched him after he was tackled by neighbors, police said on Friday.
Rudy Susanto, 25, who had exposed himself to teen-age girls on as many as seven occasions outside St. Maria Goretti School, struck again on Thursday just as students were being dismissed, police said.

But this time, a group of girls in school uniforms angrily confronted Susanto with help from some neighbors, police said. When Susanto tried to run, more than 20 girls chased him down the block. Two men from the neighborhood caught him and the girls took their revenge.

"The girls came and started kicking him and punching him, so I wasn't going to stop them," neighbor Robert Lemons told The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Susanto was later treated for injuries at a local hospital. Police said he would be charged with 14 criminal counts including harassment, disorderly conduct, open lewdness and corrupting the morals of a minor.

Did the dumba*s not realize that this isn't the 1950's anymore? Women have always had the potential of violent behavior in any context. In todays society they are encouraged to express their feelings in a physical way. I kinda feel bad for the guy.....for being born stupid.

Men like this guy give the rest of us a bad name. Glad someone did something about it. I wish I could've been there pummeling with them. I'd hold him down and let them take all the shots.

Logic

I think the highschool boys should pummel the girls who expose themselvs.

Hell no.

WalkerInTheWoods

Wait, isn't every man's dream? Being chased down by more than 20 Catholic high school girls in uniform? [8D]
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

beavis

I hope he takes those girls to court for assault. He pulled out his willy, which is a minor annoyance, but they injured him.

i have to agree with beavis. Does exposing oneself justify that person being assaulted? I feel that since the perpetrator was a man, however, it makes it "OK". Although it would probably never happen, lets imagine a woman exposing herself and a group of Catholic boys running her down WITH THE HELP OF ADULTS and then assaulting her (not sexually). That scenario pushes some different emotional buttons, doesn't it?

Althought the freak probably deserved it, it's dangerous to set a precedent making it OK for mobs to chase down people and beat them up.

The females better get charges! That is far to much "getting back" on the guy. Word or a kick would have done him good.

Fat_Turkey

Or maybe just getting him arrested?

Why the hell do the girls get away with it if a guy harrasses them. There's even a movie about a guy who got raped by a woman, and several SVU/CSI/other-crime-shows episodes about it.

Aren't we all supposed to be equal?

But I gotta admit, that IS funny!

No amount of rigorous training, sitting and doing nothing, and clearing one's mind can help a man who hasn't overcome his doubts.

Nagual

Hum... "an angry crowd of Catholic high school girls"...  Scary!
I bet these Catholic school girls did skip their love, forgiveness and compassion classes...  What if the man died from his injuries...?  Pretty sad.  I really hope that these girls and neighbors will be charged for assault or something! [V]

You lost me there [:D]

Seriously though, that is a funny story, but i have to agree that the girls should also get charged. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Right on, fellow self righteous Catholic school sisters.

Sorry, but the only time I have ever heard of a woman exposing herself to anyone is during Mardi Gras or the American Music Awards.

The men that do it are not just flipping their willy. They often turn out to be sexual predators who move on to do something else, usually more violent in sexual nature.

Aren't women who expose themselves sexual predators? Is it possible for women to be sexual predators? Are women becoming more violent in response to the increasing violence in our culture?

Not being snide, just playing the devils advocate.

Dark Knight

Women as sexual predators will often attack children...which is why women who are pedophiles are often attacked by other women...and very viciously I might add.

Yes, women have assaulted men...that in itself needs work.

The guy that flashed himself to these girls was no victim.

I agree. However, what constitutes justice and vengeance. Where is the thin line crossed?

Would the punishment fit the crime if the genders were reversed?

hmm... I agree, it shouldn't be okay to beat someone up in any case. Though this guy was a KNOWN SEXUAL PREDATOR, so he obviously didn't learn his lesson the first time (or the other five or six times that followed).

kakkarot

i don't see what's so wrong about those girls beating him up. he did something wrong in public, so why not let the public serve his punishment?

i mean, if someone hit you (forgetting forgiveness), don't you have a sort of right to hit them back? they wronged you, why can't you punish them for it? whether you choose to act upon that "right" or not is up to you, but if you did why should others look down upon your actions? after all, otherwise it's setting a precedant for bad acts to be viewed as "ok".
