That is a very common effect.  It even happens to me.  I don't really know why, but I read somewhere it is a by-product of the tremendous energy build-up required to project.   This makes sense to me.

I have yet to see "Cause of death:  Astral Projection" on any death certificates.  My assumption is it is perfectly safe.  [;)]

I just found it very strange, because I could actally place my hand on my chest and feel it pulsating, that was why I was sure it my heart.

You can feel your heart center pulse externally. But it's also quite common for a projector's physical heart to race due to the excitement and/or anxiety that accompanies projection, especially in the learning stages.

unless you are very overweight or have heart/blood pressure problems it's probably actually good for you as long as this doesn't go on for an extremely long time

getting your heart rate up to a certain level for a certain amount of time a day is supposed to be good for you or something like that... I think?

I find that when I lay in bed and get into a meditative state or visualize my heart rate actially slows alot.  This exspecially happens when I try to experience a heavy feeling to induce paralysis.  I run alot and first discoved this as I would lay down directly afterwards as my heart was racing.  It would slow dramaticlly.  Once during a CAT scan we had to restart becouse the Tech told be to relax and I started meditating and slowed my heart.

When I try to project my heart beats really fast, I know I heard it was your heart chakra, but I place my hand there and I can feel it pounding. Is this safe?
