Thanks for the info. I just hope I can finally acheive OBE soon.

It may not happen soon, but it will happen if you are determined and practice regularly. Keep in mind that you can overdo it, which it sounds like you may be doing. Just be patient and stick with it, your success in the long run will be that much greater!

I recently purchased Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. Its a great book. I've been trying to OOB for a while now. What seems to happen is, I do the rope, point-awareness shift, etc., until I feel like i'm pushed above my body in a waterbed. I feel contractions here, and if I can generate the rope long enought, then I feel huge heart "thumps" coursing through me. But I have never gone past that. I do a full sequence, and I do it about 2-4 times a day. Am I doing something wrong?

Roberts techniques are magnificent, they have helped many people, but the problem is you can't find a way of learning that is for everyone. People think differently. I would look around this website for other techniques that people have put forth. The time one and the ones in permanent topics is a good place to start.

Well I can't OBE either, and that's cuz I just don't practice. It gets really, REALLY boring. And when it comes down to it, I can be very scared of the astral planes.

My advice - don't be like me. Practice.

No amount of rigorous training, sitting and doing nothing, and clearing one's mind can help a man who hasn't overcome his doubts.

*Looks in the dictionary for can't*

What the Hell! There's no such word.
