My opinion is that im so tired of people associating wicca with magic all the time.

Besides,good and evil doesnt exist.
Magic is just natural,like eating or drinking.But magic isnt what you think it is [^]

You know, the best thing about this world is that we have the freedom to do as we wish.  Unfortunatly, some people just cannot see past thier own beleifs to allow others to explain the ones they believe in.  My own experiences show me that I alone can find god in my own way.  My parents never pressed me into a relegion.  I went to church every sunday and found that modern christianity is not how it should be.  Look around, there are many different types of people.  I don't have a problem with anyone until they take a relegion they do not understand and make it seem horrible and satanic.  I honestly believe that if you keep a person from a moral goal, it bites you in the arse when you die. So, in conclusion, I hope to see him on here again, and I hope his parents will come around from the false interpertations they have gotten and LISTEN to thier child.

Yeah I can definately relate to christian parents not believing I had psychic abilities and can see the future. In my opinion from what I have learned is you are not free to experiance life unless you have an open mind and go out and experiance things and the truths that are out there for yourself. At least that is what I think if you are shallow and closed, you don't experiance life to the fullest.

If you have a burning desire or interest in somthing, you will find a way to get back to it, despite restrictions. Even if it is months or years afterwards.

Concerning Wicca...... Wicca is NOT 'evil', also Wicca generelly doesnt beleive in 'evil' in the sense of polar oppositions, like Christianity. Instead, there is only one true power/law in the world, that is 'LOVE', its purest form that underlies the universe. All the rest is varying shades of grey.

Yes, wicca or witchcraft/magickal practice CAN harm the unwary at times.
However, so can Christianity or Islam, as we all know.

I would just like to point out a distinction here, concerning witchcraft and Wicca, which some people may not be aware of:

In the US, Witchcraft and Wicca are generelly regarded as the same thing. However, in the UK the two are distinct, with Wicca being the recently formed (1950s) 'formal' religion of Witchcraft.
While Witchraft generelly is distinct and takes many forms (they are highly individulistic with no set, core beliefs), most of which do not agree or acknowedge Gardnerian witchcraft.

So, despite the statements you read in a lot of American witchcraft books about how all witches 'believe in the Wiccan reed, believe in the law of thrice-fold return' etc etc, these sweeping statements are actually false.

Parents must be allowed to bring up their children which they feel is correct for THEIR family environment. However I feel it is a great shame that people are not more tolerant and understanding of other philosophy's. I was very fortunate for my father had a great vision and allowed and even bought me books on the occult. At the time it was ME who was so immature that I could not handle IT correctly. it makes me sad when people are too tense and afraid from life to sit down and contemplate their own belief systems.  yes, it is ultimately the parent's right to prevent a child from being exposed to questionable material, but that child will eventually be exposed to the material, only there won't be any sense of coping mechanisms or any conceptions, or opinions about it- and there will be trauma (this goes for anything).
if i were christian, i would sit down with my child and go through the web site and discuss the material in a sane manner, not run away from it.  christians should not fear the devil, isn't that what their god delivered them from and grants authority over?

Well, its not really about the belief is it? Its about the person. Some things are more adviseable than others but whatever a person decides to practise is a dependant on who they are, not the other way round.
But, of course wicca is not evil! While some practices are more advisable than others (eg quija bourd is a big no no, like all channeling IMO), most stuff is pretty neutral ie its what you do with it.

If someone is practising black magick, you dont say "stop practising black magick" (well you might but) what you should say is "why are YOU being such a moron???".

...there is probably some effect of the choice of spirituality which puts itself upon you, like group mind. Interesting, but people will tend to find their best fit anyway sooo again its probably a moot point......

anyway, glad you are back too. Did you sort it out, or are you just finding ways to avoid the problem?

Just wanted to answer to that But before anything i must admit that i've been in the wicca wave in my early teens so i'm not obtuse to all this and have once belived in.
However, if you look at my signature, you will read : "Ama et fac quod vis", which is latin for "Love, and do what you want".  Sound's kinda wiccan he ? It's the purest form of christianity, as edicted by St Augustin, which sumsup  all the christianity in a single sentence. The problem is that christianity is often confused with the Church, but the real and first form of it is no more than this : Love. And moreover their is no real "evil", the "evil" is only the rejection of Love by one. It's Love that rules the universe, the evil just corrupts our hearts to reject this Love by our ego. It's why it's a misconception to think that doing this or that would change anything to the salvation in christianity, as God is PURE Love, we are already saved (it's even said in the Bible), the only thing to do is accept it (which is the hardest part).

So in their ultimate cores, wicca and Christianity are not so different in their conception of the universe (though on the rest yes )
However i agree with the parents who want to protect their child, their won't be good parents if they weren't doing this by using what they believe to be the truth (if we can't act by this, by what can we act then ??), but i also agree with those who would tell our guy to make his own experiences and go on his way Life is so paradoxal sometimes lol

Wicca is a religion.

Witchcraft, on the other hand, is usually not. While many Wiccans and others like to call their religion 'witchcraft,' it's actually neo-Paganism with witchcraft and other elements thrown in. Witchcraft itself is the practice of magic by the use of charms, spells, divinations, and the such. Wicca is a religion with ethics and laws, while witchcraft is a tool that can be used for any desired purpose.

That's my view, anyway.

Wicca and Witchcraft are good words to distinguish between the newer neo-pagan witches(Wicca) and the family traditions that are historically rooted.

I found that in both branches, they tend to trivialize evil, and therefore tend to fall into practices such as idolizing sexuality, black magic, and other sorts of devolved practices.

The term Wicca is a term that makes no meaningful distinction between what they do and what Pagans do.  They may be a little more magically oriented.

I would say you would get a more interesting experience within one of the family traditions as long as the leadership has not allowed it to fall into the darkness of the left-hand path.  This is a dead end and incurs Divine wrath.

This was the path that the Black Riders took in the Lord of the Rings.  That is why they lost their real personalities and turned into expressions of evil.

In the Tarot deck, the Lovers card represents the Honor found in the companionship graced on someone who seeks what is true and right, like the Fellowship of the Ring.

If anyone starts to wonder or anything, Christian magic is suspended from the computer for his parents do not like him interested in wicca, ouiji boards, tarot cards, or anythingelse to do with magic. they think wicca is the devil. I am not sure when he will be returning to the pulse but when he does i guess we will all know.
What is everyonelses oppinion on Wicca, witchcraft, the craft or whatever you want to call it? i know witchcraft can bring evil to you but its not a bad art, its a religion of positive energy and of love for nature and the world around us. we as humans sometimes get confused with other religions and their meanings. so we take other religions or beliefs and we put them into another one which makes positive or bad comments for it. If anone has any comments please post.
