I've been getting it alot latley too, started when I went camping. I don't exactly know what it is, but your suggestion sounds like a good place to start looking for answers.
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

Wow... I've been seeing the exact same thing.  This morning it happened to me when I was just idly staring off into the air.  All the sudden I saw billowing smoke.

Surprised I was.  I've been trained to think that this is auric type energy so the first thing I thought was, "I wanna do that again!"

So I looked into the air again and suddenly there was this smoky mist rising from EVERYWHERE.  All over the road, and me.

Later I did the same thing at Burger King.  I could see a small amount of smoke from some areas, but from myself I saw huge towering white stacks of smoke.

Also, I brought it on at will when walking home after I had... er... gathered a lot of energy from the air.  I even attacked a tree for some reason o_O  I'm kinda weird sometimes.  But while I was in that state, I was able to see this stuff.  From what I gather, it's like seeing auras, only a lower form of them.  Not sure.

I'll run a quick test and see what I can see right now.

Lately, I've been having some minor hallucinations.  I keep seeing an insubstantial amount of smoke/mist from time to time, everywhere both inside and outside.  When I look again, it's gone.  I don't take any drugs, medication, vitamins, or alcohol.  Sometimes I forget about it only to have it again a few weeks later.  Has anyone experienced anything similar?  I'd like to think it's some form of clairvoyance and that the mist may represent spirits, but the experience may simply stem from tension/anxiety.  I'd appreciate any thoughts on the issue.  Thanks.
