I haven't read it yet.

I just came across it when I was perusing amazon.

When I bought it I was in the middle of reading Graham Hancock's Fingerprints of the Gods (which is a massive book if you've ever seen it) and I already had "Chariot of the Gods" on the list to read next, followed by this theoretical physics book I'm reading now by Brian Greene, then I have "Holotropic Breathwork" by Stanislov Grof to read, THEN I will read this crystal book.

When I posted this thread I knew it would be a little while before I got to reading the book.  Also, I haven't been doing much in the way of projection practice lately as I have undertaken some new interests, so I knew I wouldn't be trying out these techniques for a bit.  I really just wanted to share a potential alternative to traditional techniques and let you guys try it out.

From what I gather this book was always an eBook (wasn't originally a physical book, it still might not be, I don't know) and was associated with some kind of online course.  Who knows, maybe it's the same old crystal info that you can find in a number of other astral projection sources (usually ones written from the perspective of pagan/shamanic traditions).  Nevertheless, it sounded neat and at $2.99 why not.  It may be a load of crap, but it may also be the key someone needs to achieve projection.

I have a history of working with crystals for projection, specifically things like Ulexite, Covellite, Bismuth, Spectrolite, Quartz, Selenite, Merlinite, Mochi Balls (Shaman's Stones) and others.  I have always had interesting results.  Often very subtle, but definitely noticeable.  I still combined crystals with classic OBE techniques, but this author seems to imply that the techniques presented in this book are altogether different from typical meditative focus and visualization based techniques.

So, when I get around to reading this book I will certainly post my opinion of the techniques at the very least, if not a full review.  But I happily invite others to do the same if you get  to it before I do.  I would honestly like to have an idea of what it's about as well.

The question needs to be clarified.  Do you mean religion in the eyes of man (fallible) or religion in the eyes of God (infallible)?

Human interpretation - yes, AP is wrong.  Its occult magick.
God - no, AP is just another avenue to know God.

FYI - there are numerous accounts in the Bible (sanctioned by and often involving God) that some people believe are OBEs.

they could be two complimentary aspects of one guide.

a power animal isn't just one animal.  the one that you interact with is a representation of the whole species.  beyond the physical species, they also represent the primal/archetypal energy that is characteristic of that species.  perhaps the two animals are two sides of the same coin, expressing complimentary energies of their species.

you can have as many guides as you want.

who's to say you can't.

when it comes down to it you might not want many more than one.

i have one animal guide and a crystal/skull guide, but honestly i wouldn't really want any more than that.

I just wanted to share my music with you all.

Some of you may have heard most of the songs that are up right now, but I have recently started producing again, so new songs will be up soon.

There is one new song posted on my blog but it's not on my soundcloud.  I need to edit a few things in it, but you're more than welcome to check it out anyway.  When it's done it will be on my soundcloud.

this is how i do it.  i don't use the hemi-sync bit, but from the fetal position on.  i just "go to sleep" with the intent to project.  i don't actually go to sleep but that's what it feels like i'm doing.  when i actually do it i have at least a 90%+ success rate.

the only drawback was that i found myself to be quite groggy when i first exit.  i feel like the grogginess wouldn't be as bad through a method like phasing where your mind is kept more or less awake.  it's like waking up into a projection, you're a bit groggy and clumsy until you wake up more.  problem is, usually by the time i've "woken up" enough, the projection ends.

tricky.  it would be difficult to know whether you had actually gone to some objective planet in another galaxy or whether you had gone to one that you created that has no physical counterpart.

also, i don't think you'd have to go to another galaxy.  there are billions of stars in our galaxy, most likely there planets with life here as well.  i mean, our galaxy is big.  really big.  look at all the life in sci-fi shows and most of them always take place in the milky way.

here stookie,

i'm pretty sure that this is the pdf version that you can buy for $2.99.  i haven't heard of this site before, but the price is the same and it's not amazon so you should be able to get it and put it on the nook in pdf.

there are actually more chakras that often go unnoticed, by westerners especially, above the head, below the feet and in-between the 7 commonly known chakras.  they have fun names too, like the "soul-star chakra".

i have talked to healers and energy workers (as well as having seen these features myself a time or two) that say the chakras are like tubes that run perpendicular through the body.  they start a couple feet in front and move through the traditional location of the chakra on the body and extend a few feet behind you.  they could just be seeing the energy radiated from the chakra on the body though.  i can't really say for sure.

yea that's the hard part about amazon.  they don't want anyone else to have their perks so they make it hard to put their stuff on other ereaders.  HOWEVER.  i have read that it can be done, though it takes some computer savvy and decryption software.

i know you're not really big on piracy stookie, but i believe this book was originally an ebook associated with an online class, so you may be able to find a pdf version out there.

I just ordered this book on my kindle.  I'm still working on another book, so i probably won't read this for another week or so.  But I wanted to share it because it seems like a neat and novel approach to AP.  As far as I can tell it focuses not on persistent meditative practice, but rather letting crystals do the hard work.  As many here know, I'm a big fan of crystals.  So after I read this and try it out I'll let you know how it is.  In the meantime, feel free to check it out and see if it's worth it.  If you have a kindle it's only like $2.99.

my theory is that we normally experience the vibration of atoms in the physical as sensory input which is translated as sights, sounds, smells, etc., etc.  Then in the astral our brain is receiving a different kind of vibrational sensory input, but it's still translated into sensory information (though the stimuli themselves are of a different frequency of vibration).  The transition from physical to astral doesn't negate vibration.  But that transitory phase is vibrating in a frequency we are not familiar with.  We are familiar with the physical and astral vibrations, so our brain can process this stimuli.  But that in-between gradient of vibration is foreign to our brain, so early on, we don't know what to make of it and perceive it as what it is, infinite probability.  just the vibration of reality, pure and simple.  as we project more and more, our brain learns to handle that transitory vibration and we no longer feel it physically.

Watched a video on the fire breath thing... I doubt it will give you a projection in itself. You want to slow your heart rate not speed it up through rapid breathing.

Yes and no.  The rapid breathing is said to induce altered states, which is why they do it.  Projection isn't just about the commonly accepted definition of leaving the body.  It's about experiencing the other worlds in all kinds of capacities.  Also, rapid breathing puts more oxygen in the brain and can get you pretty goofy and tranced out.

But, yea, for traditional projection/OBE, that probably won't help really.

this isn't necessarily related specifically to the Mayans, but I've been reading a lot about archaeology lately, particularly the evidence for ancient civilizations here on earth (which really ought to be recognized as fact.  the amount of evidence is astonishing.).  One of the things that become apparent is that something happened that severely altered the climate on earth and brought about the downfall of this ancient (probably global) civilization.  Some people believe that the great monuments around the world are in some sense a warning.  Not a "oh my god the world is gonna end" warning, but rather a sober display of principles and understandings put forth by these ancient cultures or their descendants that survived the cataclysm.  When viewed together, some people believe that these things left behind will show a pattern of catastrophe on this planet (which isn't a highly accepted theory because it doesn't follow the uniformitarianism that the orthodox accepts as fact, that our lives are 100% stable and everything we know started simple and slowly over long periods of time have grown into what we know today).  Most importantly, these messages were intentionally left behind to show future generations about the natural cycles that effect this planet, whether they be purely planetary, born of the whole solar system, galactic in nature, or even something beyond our comprehension.  The fact of the matter is, our history on this planet before 3000BC is pretty much an unknown, but the wealth of evidence points to cataclysm, something intense that buried the civilization that once lived here.  Was it just a random comet or meteor that won't threaten us again for 1000's of years?  Or was it something that will happen again and sooner than later?  That's the real question.

I heard them talking about this on Eliot in the Morning (a morning show out of DC) yesterday.  They also mentioned thousands of dead fish like a hundred miles away or something.

But they said that everyone in the state is really weirded out by it.  Like they just don't know what to do or say.

But I'm reminded of that show that was on recently that I assume didn't get renewed.  I don't remember what it was called, but like everyone in the world passed out for a few minutes or something and had dreams of the future.  In that show, a bunch of birds died....

hematite is a very physically grounding stone, so i wouldn't use that.

amethyst will increase dream activity and lucid dreaming if you sleep with it under your pillow.

the book of stones is a good book for more in depth "intuitive" based information on stones.  however, for beginners and for pure reference, The Crystal Bible is much better.  I sell both of these, along with some others and they are usually the two I recommend most.

there are some stones that are specifically related to projection.  Cavansite is said to induce conscious exit, so is Bismuth.  There are also a lot of stones that assist you when you're out of body, like Spectrolite which creates a protective sheath around you.  Some other good projection stones are, Moldavite, Apophylite, Howlite, Lapis Lazuli, Ulexite (visualization), Stibinite, etc.  I recommend the Crystal Bible because it has an index in the back that you can use to look up "Out of Body Experiences" or "Astral Projection/Journeying".  It will then direct you to all the stones in the book that assist.

I have recently had some interesting experiences in projection with Merlinite (specifically Mystic Merlinite, which is something Robert Simmons made up).

soberty is the way to go, every experienced user will probably tell you that but it's best to be sure by your own experiences.

DMT is probably a different question tho.

kind regards,

Paul

If you did achieve projection with DMT it would be rather uncontrolled, at least that was my experience.  You're kind of just thrown into it and have to deal with what comes.  You seem to have little or no conscious control of the situation.
