Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Weird dreams
May 28, 2014, 03:55:16
Hello fromromania,

Welcome to the Pulse!

Many times when a person first begins to consider and then pursue astral projection, some preliminary issues need to be explored in our subconscious; this shows up in our dreams.

Maybe the first dream was exploring the idea of flying or leaving your normal dreamscape and to see how you might react to that. The 'sheet-humping' might refer to issues involving leaving your bed and bedroom environment. This could include the introduction of a hint of the sexual issues that many projectors have to overcome.

The second dream, you were actually flying all by yourself and you had no problem with that! Congratulations! However, you did run into a fear issue just a moment later. Do you see how the initial uncertainty of meeting a neighbor morphed into a stronger fear issue?

These are small but significant tests you are already providing yourself. Just some ideas...

Welcome to the Pulse James,

You are already finding out that there is a certain amount of symbolism to the new territory you are exploring. Yes! That definitely sounds like a genuine projection. Now forget the Physical!

What does a lit candle represent to you?

Hello Nathan,

Welcome to the Pulse!

The chances are roughly 999 to 1 that NOTHING outside of your own subconscious is terrorizing you. Many of us, including me, have experienced EVERY one of the issues you are describing, and more than once.

I will admit, if what you describe is true, then you have been hit with just about everything in the book, and all at once! :-D

And that would, naturally, scare the crap out of any sensible person...there's a lot to deal with and figure out there.

If you doubt me, look at it this way: Something that bad, that evil, would have chewed you up and spit you out long ago.

What you are experiencing can be divided into 2 categories: Those effects you get from Sleep Paralysis and those effects or symptoms you experience during Astral Projection.

Look up Sleep Paralysis (SP) on Wikipedia. You don't have to read all the medical stuff but do read the Folklore section to see how various cultures interpret the effects.

Sleep Paralysis---

Physical paralysis, can't speak, pressure on chest or around throat, difficulty breathing/choking, various noises/sounds, tactile sensations such as someone touching or pulling at you, an incredible sense of dread or pure evil around you, a sense of another presence in the room, apparitions that may appear and threaten you...plus many more variations of each.

Astral Projection Exit Sensations---

Vibrations, lightness, floating of body or limbs, pulling/swaying sensations, roaring in head, buzzing, train/helicopter sounds...and much more.

Once you have a better and clearer understanding of what these experiences represent, you can then decide how to move forward. Some of the sensations you may only encounter once or twice; others you will consistently have to confront and overcome your fear if you wish to progress. I won't kid you, this takes a fair amount of courage to face up to your innermost fears. It may be something that you may not feel emotionally ready to tackle, and that's okay...take a few years off and then look at it again. This is a question you have to answer for yourself and you should give serious consideration to it. Even the more experienced projectors take time off to process what they've learned, to deal with physical life issues like family and work and school (which is of course, the most important stuff). So, along that line, I would suggest there is a time to begin, and then there is a time not to begin, but rather to wait.

At least now, I hope I've given some reassurance that the Hounds of Hell are not after you. :-D

Affirmations are a form of auto-suggestion. Re-programming your inner computer. Keep them simple, short, positive and present-tense.

Practice no more than three at a time. Repeat each three times before bed. Try writing them down sometimes.

This is a method to communicate with your subconscious and higher self; To ask permission, to give instructions, to express your desires.

"I give myself permission to have an out of body experience."

"Out of body experiences are natural and safe. I am totally protected."

"I project every night and am fully aware during my projection."

"I remember my out of body experiences."

Try these and then come up with your own. Try a set of three for a week or two. They can be very effective for many people. Write them down on a piece of paper and place it under your pillow. Then sleep on it. (literally!) :-D

Don't use negative words like--- don't, won't, can't, scared, afraid, fear...
Keep the phrasing in the positive.

I think the 'liquid heat' is likely a result of your energy work, and no doubt, a good thing! That said, it could be your personal variation of the vibrations; in the middle of the night, I have awoken to vibrations so fast and smooth and subtle, it felt like a comforting warmth.

Again, remember, vibrations are great if you get them, but they are not necessary to AP, so it's no biggie if you don't...

The 'liquid heat' is a great sign that you are becoming aware of your energy body.

If your routine practice is currently interrupted, have you considered just doing some affirmations during the day or at bedtime? Just takes a minute or two and you might get surprising results.

Beavis,

If you think you are here on Earth to help network minds and further the continuation of the evolution of thought and action in the various forms of reality...just how would you go about this?

Most of this communication and development would naturally occur in the Non-Physical. What do you perceive as the key elements for its development? Is there anything you have recognized, so far?

Have you made attempts or established the beginnings of a network?

This is an intriguing subject to me.

Like both LightBeam and AAAAAAAA said,

any opportunity to meditate and visualize is good preparation for when the opportunity arises.

But, as LightBeam was pointing out, you need to become familiar with the best state of mind for transitioning from a visualization into an AP. That state of mind only occurs briefly as we fall asleep every evening; we usually can't make use of it because the inertia of the physical body falling asleep pulls the conscious awareness down with it.

Therefore, the best time to try Phasing is when the physical body is partially rested, but still can readily slip back into sleep. Then, the mind has a better chance of resisting the pull of the physical and remain aware. This can be done after 2,3,4 or 5 hours of sleep, as in the Wake, Back To Bed technique. Or, you can try setting your alarm for an hour or two before your normal wake-up time. Or try an afternoon nap.

My additional advice would be to try a more interesting visualization or Rundown. I have found that a Rundown that utilizes rhythmic movement, especially up & down, gets my energy body fired up. Then, at some point, the Rundown takes on a life of its own and you simply begin noticing until you get dropped into that scene or another.

Some Rundown ideas: Dancing, swimming, diving, waterskiing or snowskiing, snowboarding, flying, parasailing, motocrossing, sledding, trampoline bouncing, mountain-biking...you get the idea.

Give that a try for a week or two. Throw in some affirmations, too. Good luck!

Ellury & Micael,

Honestly, what I'm reading in both of your dreams and experiences, you are already beginning the sometimes subtle and sometimes not so subtle, testing of your willingness and capacity to work in various modes such as Retrievals. Be open to the possibilities.

Hi Loosh,

Quick, short projections like these can Sometimes be pretty difficult to figure out. The first two are relatively straightforward and encouraging. First, you achieved or were assisted in gaining what you asked for/intended. The second, was a confirmation that you are progressing.

The third, with the disabled woman is really only a message that you have to determine for yourself. Look at the basic premise, look for the details, and especially notice the feel you get from the scenario.

I think you guessed it pretty much correctly. Someone is letting you know that not all of what you learn may be or will be pleasant. It's testing your willingness to challenge yourself.

Three very good experiences. Well done!

Great dream!

I like how you noticed the 'feeling' of it; that was very insightful and important: Calm, relaxing, friends having fun together. That tells you something all in itself...

How might you describe the meaning of this dream, what was it telling you? Any symbolism involved?

After considering the possibilities, how might you describe this other than a dream? What other label might you give it?

Welcome Rhianna,

Have a good look around and then feel free to share or ask questions. The learning never ends.  :-)
#1187
It's no coincidence that memories like this begin to resurface now that you are paying attention to your consciousness expansion and awareness of the Wider Reality.

Be open for more communications such as this...

Make sure you start writing this stuff in a journal; you will be glad you did several years from now. Seriously, start writing these things down.

Enjoy the ride!

Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / Re: Orbs
May 20, 2014, 01:45:54
I have not experienced this, but I'll offer what I can.

You see these orbs in both the physical world and when you are out of body?

How far away are they? How large are they?

Do they only show up in certain places?

Do you associate any events or feelings with them?

In trying to communicate with them have you tried telepathy or sending a simple mental request?
#1189
Everyone passes through an SP phase as they enter REM state, several times a night. Most people are never aware of it. For the small percentage that do, on occasion, become aware during the event, if you can control your emotions SP can be used as a kind of AP exit.

It's not really a technique, per se; it's not something you want to aim for; rather it's a condition to just file away in your studyfile and maybe take advantage of if the opportunity arises.

What you should be training yourself for, is to be on the lookout for opportunities, wherever they may arise. You are looking for a singular mindstate and I'll bet you all have experienced it many times, you just didn't know what you had in front of you.

Look for this mindstate as you slide into or out of sleep at night, or an afternoon nap, or middle of the night or early in the morning. Different factors affect this and we honestly don't know or understand them all, plus, guess what? We are all slightly different. And it varies.

urshebear-

Episodes of SP often come in clusters for a year or two, and then disappear for up to a decade, then return in another cluster. So, it's no big deal, just be aware of the possibility.

Hello and welcome to the Pulse!

You should spend some time searching the bold blue Sticky threads to see what has worked for other people. Personal Reality's How I got out the First Time, might be a good place to start.

Understand first that there are two basic ways to project and that you may be more naturally inclined towards one rather than the other: the first is the classic Etheric RTZ projection, where you feel yourself energetically rise up from your physical and float around your house. The second is Phasing, where you instantly switch your focus, no separation is felt, its more mental. Each method has its symptoms and sensations.

Read some, add it to your knowledge base, and you will eventually notice some things that resonate with what you have read and what you experience. There are such a wide variety of sensations that we can't really pin down what is or will be your experience until you have some more experience of your own. Most of us had to stumble onto this by ourselves.

Think back and review those experiences you had as a child. Look for some of those sensations and, more importantly, the feelings you had back then. Those may point the direction forward.

One thing I see is that you are still way too "physical". You must allow your awareness to disengage much more than what is happening now. That may risk falling asleep. But that's okay the first few times; you may regain a level of awareness that puts you into a lucid dream. That's the first level; you work from there.

Laying down to bed and working to a trance/projection level until 1am is the hardest way to project!!

You need more experience slipping into the proper state through more passive means. Try setting your alarm for the middle of the night or early morning, try an afternoon nap. The difference in state of mind should be obvious.

When you do find that state of mind, and things start happening, stay calm and unemotional. Be passively curious to what unfolds.

#1191
Yes, without a doubt, you have to begin recording your experiences. Years later, I have discovered both patterns and details I otherwise would have lost completely. Plus, it helps develop the communication channel to your inner/higher self.

Good on many levels.
#1192
Keep the first few trips out close to home and short time-wise. It's easier to remember them and have a stronger connection to the experience. This is important to building the strength of your non-physical awareness.

Well done!!!

I know how strong the temptation is to go flying off somewhere, but you'll likely lose awareness. Float around your house and experiment touching things, this can strengthen your awareness; look for a mirror and what do you see? Fly through some walls! :-D
#1193
A great many first-time projectors get energy sensations or vibrations, but go no further, despite several attempts.

An idea I would ask you to consider is this: the decision to project seems relatively straight-forward, but it's more than that. It's a decision that has to be considered and permission granted from at least 2 but probably 3 or more internal 'selves'. Your conscious mind, your subconscious, your higher self/inner self, maybe others. You may not be aware of this internal debate as it is playing out. You may experience energy sensations as a literal trial run, to see if you are ready for this. Excitement and fear have to be kept under control at all times.

At some point you will get to the next step, which may involve some hypnogogia, visuals, sounds, intense feelings. These are tests. Sometimes they shock us: a Bang!, a scream, a whisper. Sometimes it's a voice saying "NO! Don't go there! Go back now!". The first few times it can really catch you off-guard and ruin the attempt, but you have to persevere. This is a test of your seriousness, by who, anybody's guess but I think it is pulling the hypnogogic material from your subconscious.

Or, you may avoid the hypnogogia and continue with the vibrations. You can experiment with finding the 'release point' which may occur during or even a few minutes after the vibes fade. It varies.

So, knowing all this, you can open another channel of communication to your inner self very simply by coming up with and using some affirmations.

Something like-

"I give myself permission to have an out of body experience."
" I am safe and protected."
" I remain calm and passively aware."

Try those three for a week. Write them down once during the day. Repeat them three times mentally as you lay down for bed. Trust in the fact that after a few days, your subconscious will be getting the message.

According to Monroe there will be a relatively small number of physical bodies available for temporary occupation around the year 3000. We should be vastly more developed by then, but most will have moved on to other experiences anyway.
#1195
Thanks for that tip and app Simo!

It sounds like you're getting some results! I'll have to give it a try and maybe shake things up for myself.
#1196
The dog apparently stared at the kid for a period of time, days, maybe weeks; then made up its mind about something. Drag him away and eat him... Or at least quit riding that damn bike...

Meanwhile...the cat was watching...

No adult intervention needed; the world took care of itself and it's junior inhabitants. Fascinating.
#1197
I will second what Xanth wrote: these realizations are so much more powerful and meaningful when we gain them mainly through our own efforts.

So, that said...GREAT insight Lostlight!!! It is just a matter of looking to the left, or looking to the right...and finding that subtle mindset that provides the shift of focus. With intent and practice, it becomes easier.

I just wish I was a 'natural'...maybe with time and effort, I'll become one.
#1198
What you are describing is a Rundown.

Generally, they involve movement. Some work with easy movement, like walking through a park setting.

Others have discovered a Rundown with more rhythmic movement, either up and down or side to side.

That's what works for me: Snow skiing, water skiing, motocrossing, tobogganing, wake boarding, anything like that.

You consciously start the visualization, and at some point, it takes on a life of its own.

Then you get dumped into an environment. Sometimes unceremoniously!!!

But you're there! Who's to complain?!
#1199
Whether you are actually in the Void or not, is ultimately irrelevant, you have to work with the environment as it is presented. That can be tough when you are just a bodiless, point of awareness!
You don't have a great many options at hand (much less a hand lol).

Your vision is not physical; you are sensing, so be aware that 'physical' interpretations will likely confuse.

Your intention is the primary mover in any of this.

Like Szaxx said, if your intention fails, try a sense of physically moving upward; this may break the stasis. Then ask or express again.

A question- you've said you have expressed intentions and requested help from NP guides. What are your specific requests? What do you want from an OBE?
#1200
That's hilarious!

You've spent 2 years subliminally programming him...and now he's unleashed! :-D
