I wasn't complaining about the complexity of your questions, just commenting on the complexity of the experiences leading to them.
You've got a lot going on there!

Why you can't simply teleport to your friend is a tough one. From your description, it should normally work. You know and have an affinity with this person, so that shouldn't be an issue. Her circumstances however might indicate that something or someone is preventing you from traveling there.you could try and ask for a clarifying sign or dream.

Ending up in unexpected places--- At some point in our travels, this begins happening. What possible reasons can you come up with?

Past life people---Why do you think past life? Is it because you feel a certain familiarity with the person? If they are past life, what could that indicate?

Distant broadcasts--- In the NPR, communication does not have to be face to face or with words.

Being seen--- The only people who might see you or sense you are going to be the psychically-sensitive ones. I wouldn't worry about it much. You might startle a dog or a cat, now and then. :-D

One theory is that our APs are 'powered' through one or more of our chakras. Early on, for many people, the root or sex chakra is the first or easiest chakra to power up. That may be why the sex drive can be so strong in early projections. Later, we begin utilizing some of the other chakras, individually or in pairs or groups, idk.

The singularity can't experience itself without separation; the return equals the realization, by acknowledging it through the equations resulting from several thousand quadrillion worlds and the experiences therein uncovered.

Otherwise known locally as really cool cable shows...
#1204
You're the one studying chakras, I was going to ask you...

Heart chakra activity is what I've experienced, but I don't necessarily understand it. It gets fired up.

What do you think?
#1205
Excellent question Hat. You describe the early NP 'personality', with some of it's characteristics and limitations very well.

Only recently have I read about and come to realize that we are actually developing a second personality in the NP. It develops slowly and step by step. Once you realize that, you begin to understand some of the limitations you feel when in the NP.

I used to think I was just astrally 'dumb' in some ways.

Some experiences, when you go into them with a specific intent, and you accomplish that goal, it all seems to have gone in a pretty straight-forward fashion. But when you encounter some types of unexpected situations or changes in the original scenario, it's as if our intelligence drops off remarkably. We wake up thinking, Why didn't it occur to me to do this? Or that?

Maybe it has something to do with developing entirely new sets of senses and processing abilities as we investigate new realms.

Don't let it frustrate you, it's just one more fascinating area we are exploring.

Great topic for discussion! Maybe Szaxx might weigh in.

Sounds like some really cool pre-exit energy sensations, with some corresponding visuals. Greta experience!

Follow them as far as you can.

Guides apparently take many shapes and sizes. Early in our experiences, they may represent our higher self or subconscious self sneaking little messages and hints to us. If it comes through as outright gibberish, I'd ignore it. The next is they say something half goofy and half serious, it can be hard to figure out whether you should be paying close attention to it. Personally, I think it is often your subconscious playing little jokes, like some forms of hypnogogia.

One thing to start looking for now that you are encountering characters, is to establish criteria for determining if they are real, independent beings or dream constructs. The more robotic their actions, the more monotone and simple their responses, they're likely dream characters. Also look closely at their eyes. What do you detect?

Whether the blonde was a dream character, a higher self guide, or a real-deal guide isn't really important; the question was a valid one. Think about that. If she was a real guide of course she knows how you got there. So what was her point in asking that question?

All of us want a controlled conscious projection with no loss of continuity. We can eventually develop that technique but it takes time. It also requires the right 'conditions'.  I've been doing this for forty+ years and still require the right conditions if I am to get that conscious projection.

Most times, I get some form of 'clickout' or temporary loss of consciousness. Currently I am coming out of deep sleep and having enough awareness to know I'm entering an experience.

Your consciousness is still way too active. It's not easy, this is exciting stuff when it really starts happening!

So, set your intent, what you want to occur and then let go, try to maintain your awareness as your body falls asleep, but accept the fact that the first twenty times you're going to fall asleep and then become aware in a lucid dream or environment. Don't struggle too much, if you fall asleep, just let it happen. See what happens with that.

The rapid heartbeat is probably actually not rapid heartbeat. It's probably your heart chakra firing up. That's good, but it frightens most of us early on. Over time, your reaction to it will calm down.

I also have pretty good luck with the WBTB technique. But you have to experiment with how long you initially sleep, and how long you stay up and what activities you should limit yourself to.

Hope that gives you some ideas.

:-D you are right in a big way Aaron;  when it works, it seems easy and natural and you wake up thinking Well, that was easy... Then the next time you're back to banging your head against the wall. Lol

Given enough experiences, you get (kind of) confident giving advice, all the while remembering all the time banging your own head against the concrete...so to speak...

Some things become pretty obvious...

That's a 4th point I can add to my list.

Astral-Trea makes a very good, well-thought insight. The complications are numerous. We tend to think too 'physical'.

But...many projectors have early on, reported literal 'helping hands' pulling them out. I felt them once, just in the last year, but never before in forty years. I had written off the idea long ago...so go figure. :-)

Sometimes it's as simple as just making the request.

I can generalize a little bit but I'd rather hear a little more about what you are experiencing:

Besides the RTZ, describe what NP environments you are likely to show up in.

What seems to stall you out there? Do you not have a sufficient  intent of where to go from there? Do you forget your intent? Does the environment not gibe with your expectation and so you lose your intent?

These are some of the stumbling blocks I ran into, and still do from time to time. I certainly remember the 'performance anxiety' of making the best use of your time, because the clock is running.  :-D  Part of this may be the development of your NP mindset. It amazes me how much I forget when I am NP, just stuff that seems like it should occur to me automatically but doesn't. I really have to expand my intent to allow for unexpected occurrences. Somehow I am slowly doing it. As Szaxx pointed out to me we are building a second NP personality. (you point out how you consciously engage your environment to maintain your lucidity. I still haven't gotten that message through to my NP personality yet, sufficiently.lol)

What is your phasing technique, what time do you make your attempts? Are you limited by your daily schedule?

Hope that gives some thought-starters. We can follow this further and figure some things out!

Energy body pre-exit sensations. Next time let them increase and you might just rock&roll right out into a RTZ experience.

Or, you could try to synchronize the back and forth movement with some kind of ryhthmic Rundown Visualization, like snow skiing a slalom section, bouncing on a trampoline, riding a roller coaster...any activity with movement. That can quickly build and pop you right into a scene. Then you interact with the scene or look for a portal.

To learn how to Astral Project, you should look to the 3rd board Welcome to Astral Consciousness. In the bright blue "stickies" you will find some excellent articles to give you an idea of what needs to be done: The Astral Blueprint, 66 Techniques, etc.

Finding a guide or your babies soul is a bit more difficult and may take time (sorry for your loss).

The astral cord theory is pretty much ancient history; I have never experienced it nor heard of it by others except in older books. I wouldn't worry about severing the cord or getting lost.

Read up on several of the articles, give some of the techniques a try and then if you have questions, please ask.

Hi urshebear,

Are you stuck in the RTZ? What some may label etheric projections, where you are in your bedroom or house or local neighborhood? Do most or all of your projections involve consciously exiting your body, often through SP? Are you able to go anywhere else? If so, how do you accomplish that?

If you are feeling frustrated and wanting to move on, it is often because you have likely failed to realize or learn a lesson from your current state. These can be deceptively subtle in retrospect and frustratingly complex until we do figure them out. I deal with the same thing.

And you can have the realization in the physical, but you will probably have to somehow declare it or display this realization in the NP in order to advance. It's best to have the realization there, then it's kind of automatic.

These tests begin almost immediately in our OBE experiences, and they can be deceptively small tests. But they are what some call minor initiations, leading to major initiations.

So, describe what's going on...

#1216
Good points by Astralsuzy; we bring different aspects of this to a sharper focus.

If you keep showing up in the same scenario, 3 or four times, it means something. I have come to realize these experiences are not by accident; your guide(s) are trying to show you something, get you to realize something. You will likely stay here until you realize what you need to, getting the same scenario or a minor variation of it until you get the lesson.
How long ago did you leave school? Well, welcome back! We never quit getting schooled.

I know and share the frustration, I feel stalled within my own set of lessons. It's too much like work at times.

Like Szaxx told me once, "You can scream in frustration now."  :-D

And now I realize there's another test going on here...for me. And the test is to resist my know-it-all ego and not blurt out the answer. You need to figure this out. So here we both are...you getting a lesson in the NP and me getting a lesson back here in the P. a twisty kind of irony...ain't Life great?!

So I have to thank you Aaron, for giving me the opportunity for this test! I know I'm going to get slapped upside the head by my guide(s)...Aaaaarrgghh....lol

Keep trying, you are doing great and the result will be worth it! I do know that!
#1217
Kuurt, you ask some complex questions. I will offer my opinion, but remember it is only that.

Why we don't receive answers sometimes or can't complete our destinations? It's beyond our knowledge, sometimes by purpose apparently. Our guides may be stopping us.

Your friend in SE Asia... The symbology doesn't strike me as good. But you may be right, it may be an overdramitization of some current issue. Maybe she's dealing with a loss and is shut down emotionally. The graveyard may be literal or it may indicate change, an old idea or viewpoint has died and been buried.

Honestly, the blonde haired woman strikes me as the introduction of a guide. Does she keep showing up? I don't get past-life, I get current teaching. Again, jmo.

Best regards,

EV

There is great territory to explore in the early morning wake-up and slipping back into sleep. Give yourself the affirmation the night before, to explore and be aware, then reinforce that when you awaken briefly the next morning and observe yourself as you slide back into sleep. Experiences will follow. Have fun!

Write it all down the next day and the experiences will increase over time.

In my opinion, you have made really good progress. Your attitude, your emotional control, your expectations, all sound really well zeroed in to what you are looking for. Well done!

You still feel lost, huh? Welcome to the club!  :-D

I would like to hear a little more of your description of the 3D Void, but it sounds like you are there. Next time there, you should just relax, enjoy the peace and 'notice' the velvety, textural depth that may develop within a certain area. When that happens, just let the feel of it develop until it pulls you into it. You might even give it a little intention (of wherever you want to go, if you have a destination in mind) and let it take you. Or give it the intention of what ever is best for your development. Hand it over to your higher self.

You are already further ahead then you think. There's no need for exit techniques, or asking for clarity or astral sight, or attempting to move an astral body part. You are already well past all that. You are now an astral point of consciousness, ready to take form in some NP Realm. You still have the trick before you of how to get there!
Having fun yet?! You are not going RTZ. You have been set up to go astral. Yes, stay calm, stay detached.

The 3D Blackness/Void is like a quiet channel between realms...you are free to go wherever you want...wherever you can properly place your intent. Its a place we evidently return to from time to time..I'm  not exactly sure what realms you may have access to from there, I'm still figuring that out for myself...but you can go to at least a few places like your personal lucid dream areas or the lower astral (it seems?), but best of all you can ask to go to astral school or ask for astral instruction from your guides.

I was basking in the Void a few years ago and was visited by an instructor who asked and launched me into a most remarkable adventure. Blew me away. It's not a dream, it's an entirely unintended experience. You have to find new categories to place these things. Some of it comes through as unexplainable. You soon realize that you can't even share this with your closest friends.

Be accepting of the fact that you have to take it step by step, be open and ready to go with the flow. I just learned a big lesson about that. Pay attention to the feel of a situation. Know that you are always safe and in the company of a guide whether you see them or not.

This sounds like the 'the phasing screen' that Frank Kepple describes in his Phasing Resource. It's a long read but well worth it. I've seen it many times.

You say your movie was somehow running right to left? Mine seemed to be running left to right...

One time it started with old single frame snapshot photos, literally daguerrotypes, black and white. Then the photos started speeding up until it was like an old '20s or '30s silent feature, then speeded up and took on color, speeded up further and went HD and stabilized and 'strengthened' so much that I felt a certain gravity pulling me into the scene. I went a little early the first try and got bounced right back,  but with the second try I fully entered the scene. It was amazing!

I think you are probably right, it was an entrance to your lucid dreaming world...and that's just fine. From there you might look for a portal or just express your intent to then go to an astral destination.

They certainly threw you a clue with the sounds of footsteps! You caught it, great! I would have probably had to have them throw a dollar on the path to get me to jump into the scene! Lol
#1221
Lol I could certainly see permission from your guide being an issue! I'll add that to my list.

So, maybe you should discuss this with your guide? :-D

And actually, that's an important message he gave you. Its very significant that your guide said no. How long ago was that? Do you believe that you have resolved any issues that may get you closer to finding/asking/giving permission for yourself to move forward. These things can be very subtle. If you are feeling frustration, then make the effort to communicate with your guide. Tell him/her what you want. Ask for a dream of clarification if there are outstanding issues to giving yourself permission to go astral.
Sometimes it's just the simple act of requesting what we want. I forget that all the time. Lol

Great question Paul; this answer is not just for you but it speaks to any new member trying to figure out what's  going on. The simple answer is no, there is no best time.

There certainly are better times but really it's whenever you find or create the opportunity. That's different for everybody; maybe it can be narrowed down to 3,4 or 5 groups. Then there are those little details unique to the individual that facilitate the mind getting into the proper Non-Physical (NP) focus.

Most of us approach the practice of AP thinking Ok, I'm going to learn how to lay down or sit at any time I choose and in a few minutes enter a trance state that allows me to exit my body with no break in conscious continuity, and I will have total control and awareness of my environment and my actions, and go exploring vastly divergent realms.

Yeah, well...get in line with the rest of us. It's just not that simple, not that straightforward.

Except for a few 'naturals', this is the hardest technique to master.

For the rest of us, the best times and techniques to look for involve entering the NP through our dreams or through momentary 'click-outs' or loss of consciousness, or engaging our awareness incrementally during the moments before falling asleep or waking up.

This involves giving up conscious control to varying degrees which we initially resist. It just doesn't fit with what we think is our goal---conscious projection. The problem is...most of us can't get there from here. At least initially. You may learn how to later.

So the point I'm trying to make and then expand from to help you find what may clarify the situation for you is this: you have to first understand the mental state you should be looking for, then figure out what time will best suit you for that state. You are looking for a 'dissociative state' where your awareness is somewhat disconnected from your physical body.

And to do that, simply start with your own past. Are you one of a relatively small group that can fall asleep somewhat quickly, can you stay aware right up to that borderline? Can you observe the hypnogogia that occurs? Or do you just nod off instantly? Does it take an hour or more until the inner chatter dies down on its own and you're not even aware of when you fall asleep? (that's me!) Do you wake up in the middle of the night? Do you awake in the morning instantly and jump out of bed or can you stay immobile, keep your eyes closed and just observe your awareness gradually 'physicalizing'? Do you take naps? When you dream are you ever aware of the entrance to your dream or the exit? Do you ever get Sleep Paralysis? When you fall back asleep in the morning do you get hypnopompia or morning hallucinations? There's a lot to consider...

A study of your history of these various states will indicate which way you might go; ultimately we want to develop our response within nearly all of them.

Keep in mind one thing: you are looking for times where your physical body is not SO tired that it drags your mind into unconscious sleep, like having a hundred pound weight tied to your leg and being thrown overboard, dragging down your awareness along with it, no matter how hard you resist.
There is a state that you would like to eventually develop: MABA- Mind Awake, Body Asleep. And it IS literally that. I was stunned the first time I stumbled into this state.

So naps can be excellent times, early morning or middle of the night wake-ups as well. Look for the naturally -occurring opportunities and be ready. Be ready by communicating with your inner self, tell it what you want to do in clear, simple terms. These are affirmations. (if you want more on that, ask)

When the opportunity arises, and it will, go with the flow, stay in control of any fear or excitement; the proper attitude is detached, mild curiosity...just barely enough interest to keep the experience moving forward. Always know you are totally safe.

I hope that helps tie the two concepts together.

Awesome experience Stillwater!

As to the discussion, I don't have much to add at the moment but I totally agree with the 'pan-psychism' theory, before I knew it had a name, it made sense to me. Yes, unprovable at this point. But nonetheless consistent with my experience. I'm finding consciousness everywhere. Multiple lines of evolution.
#1224
You can make a request to your guide(s); that has worked for some. It would take a pretty skilled projector to do that, otherwise. There are a few complications:

One, is finding you in the first place. It's almost a necessity to have met the person and have some rapport with them. This is knowing their 'energy signature'. I've established some good rapport with some members here, I'm not sure I can yet find them...might be an interesting experiment in the future.

Another problem is what I might call mutual correspondence. Your subconscious/astral self may not be willing to co-operate even if I did manage to show up one night. I encountered this problem one time with a friend who was eager to give this a try. When I did find him and said Hey! I'm here! Let's go! His dreaming self responded with I'm sleeping! Leave me alone! I gotte get some rest!Lol

It didn't occur to me to give him a pull on his leg; I'm too respectful of people's personal space, I guess.

His girlfriends astral form was, however, sitting up propped on one arm, staring in amazement, smiling at me.
Damn, why didn't I ask her if she wanted to go somewhere? I'm so dumb sometimes...

So you start to see the problems.

#1225
It most likely is a relevant sign that something is awakening. Bouncing is a common energy sensation; just calmly notice it and go with the flow and see where that takes you next time.
