on a familar note:  i live in pennsylvania and i dont know abou the rest of the country but on a clear night i can see mars.  i am not sure how much longer it will be visible but it's pretty cool looking.  a friend of mine who is into that sorta thing showed me.  it's right next to the moon and pretty bright.  it's got a yellowish tint to it and it doesn't twinkle like stars do.  it's very visible.

good topic.  i don't have anythin to do tonight so i'm gonna sit on my roof and count em.  i'll post the real number of stars tomorrow.

the treatise that you can access from the main page should be informative enough.  also, try doing a search on projection tek's or techniques.   there are a bunch here that we've all listed.  everyone's different so there isn't a 'best' one.

have as much fun as you want.  do anything you like.  if you feel that maybe you shouldn't be doing something, stop it.

wow sinestro.  i'd never thought about it like that.  i've been a member on this forum for a year or so.  i've helped a lot of people out.  i've even upped my status to gold member.  it felt really good at the time but...now that you've got me thinking, i think i'm ready to stop lying to myself and start my old walk down the old truth path.

i'd just like to say for the record that i believe that sinestro has some really good points here and you guys should stop being rude to him. he is right and all.  just think about what he's saying.  really put yourself in the right perspective and everything will come to light.

thank you sinestro for showing me how much of a fool i was for believing in something that i have no proof of.

links is right.  you've already heard about these things being done but you are here asking about the validity of them.  what would be the difference if someone here told you they were genuine vs where you've last heard of them being genuine?  it's all coming from someone else.   the only way to find out is to try and do the stuff for yourself.  i havne't accomplished any of those things you speak of but i have accomplished other things that i thought were impossible.

i used to be a skeptic.  i wouldn't have listened to any of this stuff before.  some things happened and now here i am on an astral projection forum.  buddha said never take anything on faith.  it seems like the way to go.

here are one of the better sites that i've seen http://psipog.net/

if you do learn how to move things w/ your mind, whatever kinisis that is, let me know.  i have a few jokes i'd like to play on some of my friends.

have fun

hey waterflow.  there is a treatise that you can access from the main page on energy development.  look for the n.e.w. section.  according to robert bruce the safest way to undertake any energetic development is included in there.

as for the seventy thousand times more effective bit...[xx(]

hi keegan, welcome to the site.  obe stands for oblong balloon episode.  all of the members here have them.  it's a medical condition that effects certain people when they lay down to sleep.  usually when we lay down to sleep, a pschological transformation takes place where we all feel like we've been turned into oblong shaped balloons.  we can't talk or hear anything during the entire episode and it can be quite scary if you don't know what's going on.  we come to this site for comfort until a cure is found.  doing a search on the forum might prove useful.  good luck.

there are going to be negatives in the astral and any other dimension, just as there are here physically.  existence here on earth is just as, if not more meaningful than existence anywhere else.  we are all in a very unique position right now.  maybe it doesn't always seem that way because of how 'dirty' things seem to be most of the time.

one of my main goals right now is to live as long as possible.  i want to learn as much as i can here and i know the longer i stay, the more i learn.

i was always under the impression that we are in the lowest vibrational dimension right now.  i'm not sure where i got that from but i'm sure i didn't make it up.  we are in the third dimension.  assuming all of the existing dimensions start at one, there aren't any lower dimensions.  the first two - http://www.fractalwisdom.com/FractalWisdom/first.html

we can see and experience right now.

sure it can hold you here, but it can also facilitate obe, if you use it correctly.  anything that triggers your senses into a memory of some sort can be a good thing.  burning incense is a good expample.  try some calm, soothing music to help get your mind off of your body and see it if helps.  if it does then every time you use it to help you project afterward should strengthen the impact it will ahve next time.

since goforit deleted his post.  i'm gonna act liek i'm on jeapoardy and nick just gave me my first answer.

where can i find out what astral projection is?
#140
i've never deliberately projected into a lower dimension but i believe robert describes them as undesirable places or something like that.  they are probably dark and gloomy and no fun.  there may even be beings there that are scary or just no fun to be around.  by all means though, explore. have fun.

yes sir, it would.  but it's not the 'hang up on you' that normally comes w/ a bad phone conversation.  as soon as i feel the conversation is coming to an end i just hang up.  i try to avoid all of that 'alright well i'm gonna go' 'ditto'  'i'll talk to you later' 'ditto'  'ok, bye'  'ditto'.

try it, you'll really like it.

what kind of assumptions have you been making about the readers of you posts?

when you say things like "The amount you can remember depends on the strength of the connection between spirit and brain. Normally it is very weak."  w/out telling us where you got the info from, it doesn't hold any value.  this is how thing should be otherwise we'd all be a bunch of gullable people.  if you are going to post certain ideas that you've come across, please give us some info on where you came up w/ them.  i'm not saying i believe you or don't, but you can't just post semething like that by itself and expect anyone to understand or believe what you are saying.

i know what you mean by not being able to put experience into words.  it's impossible.  if you are going to put any of it in words though, like what you typed in, help us out w/ understanding more of what you mean.

i guess if you really believe you dont' have much left to learn here, you have good reason to believe so.  i can't imagine what you have learned so far that would merit that kind of thought though. kind of on a high horse there, aren't you?

since you say you are using your last incarnation, do you remember all of your past lives?  where are you going to go when you die here?  i'm curious.  there is a book i'm reading now about the after death state and re-incarnation called 'the tibetan book of the dead' by evans-wentz.  it's very interesting and might be worth cking out, if you haven't already read it.

i don't really curb any of my thoughts for anyone and i can come across as being rude when i'm just being honest and sincere.  so again, none of this is an attack on you and i'd be saying the same stuff if you were sitting next to me, and we'd still be friends afterward.  don't stop posting here, just give a little more info where you think it might be needed.

i kinda thought mirador was being sarcastic in his first few replies. i did buy a half a size too big pair of shoes the other day though, so i guess i have been known to be wrong.  mirador, were you being overly sarcastic in your first few posts?
#144
they are topics that are very addicting.  sometimes someone comes up w/ a topic that is so good that people won't stop posting replies.  robert bruce didn't want to use the term 'addicting topics' because he felt it would facilitate drug activity.  one of the moderators came up w/ the term 'sticky topic/post' instead.  robert feels it helps fight the war on drugs.  i'd have to agree.
