When you get out of your body, intent can become very easy to do.   When I am stepping out of myself,  I say now I am flying high with a particular person.   You can say anything you want.

I have consciously left my body and have been successful lots of times.   When you leave your body you do not think of your body so that is not a problem.

 ThaomasOfGrey it is definitely a sign that you can ap from it.   If it does not work, you are very close to ap.   You have to keep persevering with it.   I was not sure if I could ap when I heard myself snore.    I tried to ap and I was able to.   I persevered with it and I did it.   I have ap about three times when I heard myself snore.   I heard myself snore last night but I did not persevere with it.   Since I have been determined to ap I have been hearing myself snore lots of times.

That is a great suggestion Lumaza.   Thanks for that.    I get impatient if I do not see things immediately.    I will start practicing and I will start making it longer.   I will try not to expect to see thing immediately.   It has also given me another idea.   I do not think I snore but I hear snoring sounds when I am practicing to ap.   My husband said I am not snoring.   When I hear the sounds I will start imagining something.

I always have head support.   I would not like to ap and find when I wake up my head has leaned over and I have a sore neck.   Lying down in a recliner is a good way to relax without getting too relaxed.    It does not have to be a recliner or course.

 Bluefirephoenix gave you great advice.   This may not be the answer.   Perhaps you think you can do things but your inner self thinks differently.   You need to convince your inner self that you can do it.   What I do is, I say during the day to myself everyday I can do it.   It is easy.   Convince yourself that you can do it.   I would start with one thing first.   If you start saying too many things it might not work as well.   You might start off with flying.   You can say I can fly well or whatever you want to say and when you can do that say something else that you are having problems with.

Your daughters bed is still a bed.   Of course you know that but it is still comfortable and not advisable to use.   I would not make yourself too uncomfortable because being too uncomfortable can make it hard to ap.   If the chair is comfortable to sit on then that is OK.   I have ap lots of times when I am not comfortable.   The thing is to not think about that you are not comfortable.    Ignore the uncomfortable feeling and get on with it otherwise you may not ap.   If it does not work keep persevering with it.   Practice makes perfect.  If you are still falling asleep I have other tips for you but start with this first.

Are you too comfortable.   If I am in a comfortable bed and lying in a comfortable position I often fall asleep.   It is better to be somewhere where you are not too comfortable.

I did not read what the other replies.   You are asking what extent is meditation helpful to ap.   For me it is extremely important if you want to ap.   Because I meditate does not mean that I will ap but it can help a lot to ap.

From my experiences getting stuck during separation is because you are not confident.   The more confident you are the easier it is to get out.   Any doubts or if you think it is a bit hard, it will be hard.

You may be doing nothing wrong.   With ap it can be like that.   Sometimes we do not have to do much and we ap.   Other times it is more difficult and we have to make more of an effort.  From my experiences any method will work when your mind and body is ready to ap.   Last night I was lying down and nothing was happening.   I was lying down for quite a while and my back was starting to feel sore.   I tried to imagine that my back was feeling comfortable but it did not work.   I ignored my back feeling uncomfortable and I got on with it.   I tried to do an ap technique but I still did not succeed.   I tried another and another technique but I still did not succeed.   My mind and body was not ready to ap.   I was determined to ap.   It was either I kept trying or I give up and go to bed.   I thought I will not give up.   I will ap and I will succeed.   I heard a grunting noise and I thought I will get out of my body and I did.   Sometimes we have to persevere with it and know we will succeed.

Try not to let it bother you that you get bored waiting.   In time you will be so used to waiting that it will not matter anymore.   That is how it was for me.   It will not happen over night.   It can take a while.

It could be happening because of stress.   Stress can do all sorts of things.   I get things when I am not happy or worried about something.   When I stop thinking about it and think good thoughts my illnesses goes away.   I am not talking about things like cancer.   I mean when things happen and there is no reason for something to be hurting.    You could talk to a doctor about it.

I should have said it in a nicer way.  Sorry about that.   There is nothing wrong with watching Y-tube, forums and reading about ap.   That is fine.    I would advise to practice more often, at least four times a week.   Keep persevering and you will get there.

LightBean what a fantastic experience.   I have never had an experience like you.   I have had other great experiences but nothing like this.   You were with your love ones and you had clarification with your sister.    I am longing for that to happen.   I am hoping one day I will have an experience like you.

The army reserve do not accept people if they are colour blind.   If people see colours different they are not allowed in the army reserve.   Years ago my son wanted to be in the army reserve.   He did not know he was colour blind.   He got that passed on to him from my father.   My son passed all the tests except for the colour test so he was not allowed in.   At the time my son was very disappointed but when one door closes another door opens.   He travelled and met a girl.   He would not have had those adventures if he joined the army reserve.

Try different things and see what works for you.   Sometimes by just observing the images you rise up out of your body and land in some place.   For that to work you have to have no thoughts and just observe and your mind has to be relaxed.    I realise what works for me may not work for other people.   You could imagine you are in that scene whatever you are observing and you will be there.   I just spiritually get out of my body but I realise people do not like doing that.
