I am the Land...DUH.  Also, i once heard a wise man say, life is like life...go live.

Just a little question, i thought you guys were gonna keep the demon and the 2012 war stuff in the 2012 post...??

Isn't that why we have the metaphysics forums?  I guess thats where all the scientific stuff is going these days...

Hmm...this IS a likely story Zen, but unlikely to have happened.

1) If the food was THAT bad, and you ate it, how the hell were you full?  Usually, when i eat something that tastes bad, i stop eatting, and look for other things...Correct me if i'm wrong, but when eating a squirrel, don't you need to skin it?

2) When you scaled the fish, did you make sure that it was dead first?  It's tough scaling a live fish.  Also, wouldn't your shirt get pretty bloody from scaling a fish and from sknning a squirrel?

3) When you were chasing after the snake, how large was this rock you threw at the snake?  And how is it funny that the snake tried to bite you when you cut it in half?  Also, damn, how bloody is your shirt??

4) If it was cold, and you used your shirt for fishing, which would make it wet, wouldn't you have suffered from hypothermia at night?

5) I find it very hard to believe that you caught that many fish with just a shirt and a stick.  The water must have been very shallow, and you must have been very very lucky.  I've tried to catch fish with a net, and as hard as i would try, i found it almost impossible to coax a fish into it.

6) What did you do most of the day?

7) The way you tell the story makes me believe that it was either, totally fake, or some of it was true, but you overexaggerated and fabricated a bunch of parts.  The thing is, when one tells a story like that, many details are often left out due to other occurances in the trip.  If there was also more details you left out, how come you left us the insignificant ones?  And you seem to jump from day to day very quickly.

8) Its called "Grammar" and "Spelling", sometimes people even use "Paragraphs" and "Indentations".  It was almost torture reading that.

9) Finally, i find it extremely HARD to believe that you weren't deathly sick by the end of day 7.  Also, where in this whole trip did you even attempt to become closer to your ancestors?  And you tell the story as if you just journeyed into the depths of your backyard and stayed there for "16" days.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

I tried this, wasn't too bad, but i didn't project.  I must have been way too tired last night cuz when i was trying to not focus on my thoughts I kept losing focus on being awake and almost fell asleep many many times.

It seemed that the more tired i got, the harder it was to push these images away.  The harder and harder it got to push the images away, the more i tired, until finally it was impossible to not focus on the images and i slept.

Maybe you can't OBE when you are too tired?

Haha, Maya, finally decided to post eh? [^] Been waiting for ya buddy, thanks for replying here...set things straight i believe.

Well well well, i know i'll be partying on the eve of the 2012 new year [;)], like all the other ones.

Rawk on,

Ah! Thanks a lot Shaman! I'm 17 and i'm pretty sure, at the moment, that i want to get into theoretical physics.  Although my decision probably may change...Got lots of ideas in my head [:P], just need further understanding!

Thanks!

I thought the "butterfly affect" is the theory that the physics of one side of the universe will be constant with another side of the universe.

How come you keep trying to flatter yourself Ryoku?  We all know you're not perfect, and we all know you'll be "training".  You're beating a dead horse buddy...

Personally in 2012, i doubt anything is going to happen.  There'll just be a great shift in conciousness, and all this demon and apocalypti buisness won't happen.  That's just my take on it, i tend to keep things more on the sensible side...

Just google it ;-)

They've actally gotten pretty close to generating more power than what was used.  I think in one of the machines that did it, enough power was generated to power the US for some time less than a second.  Not sure on exactly how long and how much power...

But the T.O.E. I believe exists in string theory.

What about theoretical physics? Thats what i want to do later in life.

"Hey Beavis,
Let's face it there was nothing to start with, but if that nothing was somewhere it was localised at a mathematical point, therefore there was an infinite uncertainty in how much energy there was (according to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle). I know you know what I'm on about 'cos I read one of your previous quantum physics posts! Someday the universe will work it out."

In Heisenberg's uncertainty principle it basically states that one cannot know the speed and position of a given atom without sacrificing either one or the other.  Also, there must not be an infinite amount of energy because it is just nature's behavior to achieve equilibrium. And if you end up with an infinite answer, you know you've done something wrong.

My take on the total energy of the universe agrees with everyone else that says it = 0.  For every particle there is the opposite,  aka antimatter.

The multiverse theory isn't such a bad "way to describe sections of the universe" at all.  In fact it's pretty intuitive.  I'll take an example from the book I am currently reading :

Say you are a mile away from a suspended water hose that stretches between two houses.  Now, in your perspective you just see a one dimensional plain, which has only two directions, left and right.  Lets now say you took a pair of binoculars and noticed an ant on the hose.  You can now say it is a 2-d plain.  The ant can move up and down, left and right.  Now, Kaluza, (a man who came up with this idea), stated that there must be more dimensions than meets the eye.  In this everyday dimension we can only see extension, x,y, and z axes.  But Kaluza proposed that there must be "curled up" dimensions within the spacial dimension we live in, like the hose example.  Within each point in the space, there is the x axis, y axis and z axis, but Kaluza states there there is one more that wraps around itself, like a the circumference of the hose.  But these dimensions are so small that even what we have today cannot detect, and it was calculated to be around a Planck length.

So we see, that our fabric of space can be seen as a 3-d carpet looked at from a far distance, but as we look closer, we notice that the carpet is actually interwoven, giving it an extra spacial dimension, 4-d.

[^]Good , you can't really tell who's serious and who isnt these days...

Agreed.  Life is a piece poetry, delightfully entertaining to some, dreadfully boring for others, and just plain garbage to the rest.  The interpretation is in the eye of the beholder.

Why would you specifically make a movement against demons?  Why even put so much thought into demons?  Hell, i dont think i've ever even put an ounce of thought into this demon buisness...know why?  Because it's not worth the time.  There are much more important things you should be focusing on, like life, and not demons...

Xander...I really have no idea what to think about what you said.  So you closed a portal to hell...and you survived, yet others died?  Explain, what is this "hell" you are referring to?

~ivan

PS: xander, self-flatter is the weakest thing one can do...so don't flatter yourself...lol
#217
MY fault, i was simply referring to DK's

"Why don't you try assuming yours instead acting like such a lazy a**."

Personally, i don't see anyone not assuming their actions.

Damn, some of y'all are starting to sound like the DBZ fan club now.  Accusations are defintely not needed...just keep in mind "when you point a finger, there are always three pointing right back at you."

But, Nay does have a point, why focus on "negs"?

Heres a link.  Theres a lot more to the pendulum than just asking questions and getting answers.  But i suggest you keep open minded when asking.

Discovering that your guide can actually telepathically talk to you is quite amazing, although very hard at first.  I remember back in the day when the prophecy section was still alive and when Pendulums were quite the fad (lol i hesistate to type that).  I tried it out, and the results were surprisingly good.  The pendulum, which is shown how to use in the prophecy section, is a good beginner's divination tool, however there's great debate to whom you are speaking to via the pendulum.

Anyway, I was attuned to talking to my guide until I started losing faith in what i was hearing an ended up completely stopping.  Presently i've decided to take it back up and start things going again with my guide.

If you want to try to speak with your guide, i personally recommend trying out a pendulum.  Worked well for me [:D]

JoWo, you don't see humanity as parasites at all?  Personally, we've been leaching the Earth's resources for ages, but then again, we have to to survive.  Step back and see the whole picture, man is essentially equal and not one is better than the other.  You improve the condition of the human race by simply living.  Every experience you have had, every experience you will have, will have touched some other humans in some way that they will learn.

I can see how he is comforted by the fact that life is temporary.  Hell, even i am.  Life is a beautiful thing, but we will end up leaving it behind and "ascending".  This is also all just speculation, but one can dream, can't he?

JoWo, his replies and posts are pretty much the direct truth, there isn't any fluff in it at all...i like that.  Again, if you step back from the picture and see the whole thing, really, there is no good nor bad, no right nor wrong, but just the act of being.

Sigh...the question that man has always asked itself over and over and over again, "What is the meaning of life?".  Personally i agree with you in that life has some deeper meaning, which in simplest terms i would say is to learn.  It is to basically experience everything possible in the universe and learn about everything possible in the universe.

Physics or any other sciences will have one hell of a time trying to prove what the meaning of life is, and pretty much any theory that is said, is just speculation.  I also believe that life has a much deeper meaning than just experiencing and learning, so deep that our human minds cannot fathom.

It's a wicked cool topic, i agree, but it's been discussed ad nauseam that my answer must seem so overused and cliche.

Well, we will eventually know the meaning of life sometime...

The point I am trying to get across is that don't you even think that it's silly you got offended by someone however many miles away from you, which basically knew very little about you, and which basically you know very little about him?  In this whole experience you can easily see the high ego's of people at work, defending and attacking.

One more thing that gets me is that some people here TRY and gain respect on an online Forum.  Why?  I don't understand this at all...do you really need ego food that bad as to take it online?  I'm sure, no, i hope, most of you see that obtaining respect on a Forum is not why you joined, but you joined this forum to learn.

I've had enough of this topic.

I wouldn't be offended at all, because its not true.

"I didnt read any posts past colcoms because I had to defend myself here. You are a liar I would like you to add the hyperlink to your next post where I said I was going to kill so many demons. I never over estimate myself. It's against my morals. Now please bring that thread up"

Did you mean to say "columns" instead of "colcoms"??  Just hush, are you seriously offended by words on a forum?  They don't know you and you don't know them...if they make wrong accusations to you then just let it go!  Big deal they misquoted you, it happens.

Again..."But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you." -Matthew
