Bhikku-
I know what you mean!  I had a quite long period when I tried to fit in and do al those things that people in there  teens and young 20ties are suposed to do.. going out partying, drinking...
I never feelt that this was reallyt me though- but I still did it to fit in, and to pleas my friends. Then a few years ago I realised that,- Hey, thats not me!
And then I just started to live the way I really wanted, not caring about what my friends would say... I guess it´s the only way in the end.
And now I have made many new friends at the university that are more like me, who have more of an interest in the deeper stuf of life, and less in partying.

Be blessed!

The saying goes " as under, as over".... I have no first hand knowledege about the astral plain.. but I don know that this plain is full of evil, so why should the astral be any different?  Anyhow there are loads of reports of evil spiritual beeings who get ther sunday fun from messing around with other beings. I would be surprised If all was good on the "other side"..
after al, just look at al the evil persons here on earth- what happens to them? Do they turn al saints and good over nigth when they die? that would seem strange- in that case why that behaviour here on earth ?

As I said I really don´t know... but I belive  that the astral plain is wery subjective, it just might be one way for some and anothre way for others..

If two people would go to a strange country on vacation, lets sy they go from europ to the us, and one of the comes to a nice turist area in the south, and the other ends  up in the bronx- would that not mean that they would come back home with two totally oposed wievs on how this strange place called america is??

"and maby it´s all just as a dream- and I am truely the king of my own thoughts?"

When I try to ofend someone back I always try to figure out something abit more inteligent then the thing said to ofend me.. it´s no sport calling someone a motherf***r or a-hole...  I don´t know- I´m not really proud of myselfe after yelling back- but on the other hand sometimes I think that some people have to hear someone stand up to them- otherwise they will just continue going aroun with a bad atitude.

If I aproach a person with full respect, and only get disrespect back, then I have little reason to treat that person with any more respect- such a person is not worthy of respect...  let him perish with the dogs.

A rather cool thing to do would be to start performing a full scale banishing ritual in front of the person.. like the pentagra...

I have to confess that I sometimes have little understanding for the christian ideal of over friendlyness... Why turn the other cheek? WHY?

There are situatins where no mercy is simply the best.. think about al the great monsters ofhistory ( hitler, stalin, lenin, franco...), and all the suffering that would have been spared if somene would have stoud up to those people and finished them of.

-AUM-

Interesting subject!  I have been thinking about these things alot, and read/herad many different theorys.... but in the end I just wonder this-
How can we know? We have our theorys, but in my opinion, they are
ONLY theorys, might be wery good theorys, but still only theorys.
Sometimes I let myselfe in on metaphysical discussions with people,
and take a stand point- but that´s usually just for fun- because I have
hard times belive that anyone can really know when it comes to the "heavy" cuestions about life and the soul. It is one thing to talk about things that are in some way empirical messurable (like energys, auras, oobes, magick), but things that are pure philosophic speculations are really just specualtions.

But hey, continue your discussin!! after all philosophic theorys is one of the yous of life!

Goku22-

Those Tibetan singing bowls are pretty hard to play.. I have tried to
play them in a store once... and well- getting that long dronong clear sound probably takes loads of practice. But they are pretty cool!

It´s abit like playing a pot with a wood spoon- it´s alot like that actually...
so all you need for practice will be in your kitchen http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

Hi!

Richard- well, the thing with alcohol therapy was a one night thing only, and it actually worked quite well. Usually I don´t touch alcohol- I´m almoust an absolutist... Never drink, newer smoke- lI am a real health freak, Live on low fat, low sugar veggi food. But hey, spring is coming, my dog (Dio) has gotten a nice spring happines- and it´s actually starting to rubb of on me.

I generally share your wiev on life, even though I don´t really see a point in it. But the thing is this Usually I have the ability to just laugh about almoust any
bad thing that happens, and see it with the eyes of the divine comedy- because to me life is in a way wery comic- because I see life more as a wierd theater of some kind.

I actually feel like I´m about to fall back into my cheerfull happy self again. One thing that really helps is exercise- I have decided to go one hundred percent for exercise now- I would really love to be super well traind... then I could use the summer for haiking and biking.

Inguma- Yeah, the pressure from the studies is abit hard sometimes. I have the great joy of studying something that I really love- religion history. But the sad thing is that my studies never will lead to a work of any kind :( , so the idea of moving to the south and become a fisherman might be the thing! :)

Falkland islands- that sounds wery exotic !

Blesse ya al!

Beenig totaly shaved seems like alot of work actaually- once I used to have one of those "hair cutting maschines" -like the ones they have in the army, and then I used to cut the hair down to say 10 milimeters every month or so, it was wery practicall and cheap- no paing 20 bucks at the barbers any more  :)

Well, but thinking about really SHAVING seems different- don´t you guys have to shave almoust every week?  do you use some machine or blades?

Well here in sweden we have a six months winter- so too short hair can get a bit cold- so I always let it grow a bit longer in the winter- don´t you agree Richard?

First of al, thanks guys-!

Yeah, I know that after sun comes rain- It´s just that one feels really down no sunshine tomorrow seems to mater. I actually live a very helthy life, and go to the gym four times a week- and I know if it wasn´t for the gym I would probably feel alot more miserable- it´s virtually impossible not to get in a good  mood when training.

I actually tried the alcohole therapy thing last night.. I drank alot of beer and listened to depresssive music- and today I feel better- but there whant be any going to the gym thoug :)

I guess both of you are in my situation- in the student years- perhaps not relly sure what to do with life, what to work with in the future- bad economy, and all of those things that go with the student life.

Sometimes I really just don´t see any point with it al- that´s probably the main point. I feel pretty much like Harry Heller in the Steppenwolf ( If anybody would not have read this one- read it!!)

It´s the feeling of comedy about everything- everything seems shallow and silly- and still one is meshed up in society, and to a certain degree participates and puts value in some things too. But Even then you have a naging ironic voice in the back of the head that tells you that all those small everyday life things really are redicioulus... and dosn´t mean anything from a higer point of view..

Richard- I´ll go down to the library today and take a look at Dan Millmans book!

Inguma- Are you feeling happy againg or are you still on working your way up?

Be blessed!

I have looked through the new forum a bit more- and I have to confess that I really don´t see any point in any of the new features.... At least not with the loading times that are wery frustarting...  the only really positive thing I can find about it is that it uses cockies.... so I don´t have to use my user name every time I write a post. but I have to say, it´s not fair to destroy the forum for everyone who happens to be in an financiall situation that they cannot afford the newes computer and internet conection...  And IT DOSE destroy the fun of beeing on the site when the loading is TO SLOW!!!!

-- Love is the Law - Love under Will --
#215
I have a dial up conection and an old computer- and well- the loading times are killing me!  Yes, the new forum might have its points, but it´s just TO SLOW!  it´s no use if it looks good if it dosn´t work... And hey- I just don´t have that extra 10000 skr (1000 dollars) to go out and by a new computer...

Every time I see a picture of a asian munk I feel like shaving my head- but I still havn´t done it. It might ad to the feeling of spirituality though- but that´s probably just a self image thing.

I have read Camu- The Stranger amd Hesses - Steppenwolf, both have
affected me. Good or bad ? I don´t know.
I have been in that place too.. but sometimes it goes away leaving room for
happines and a sense of meaning.

Hi Vladimir!

I guess it was more of a general sort of "do people agree with this theory about it" kind of post... just for the fun of a philosophic debate..

#220
Hm.. I think that it´s wery hard to pin down the point of living.
There actaully might be no point to life. Then why not just sit down and wait to die? - well, that´s not so much fun I guess... It´s funnier to go after the wild wierd game of life. Just do anything.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / souls
April 14, 2002, 12:06:58
I and my brother where out walking with our dogs on a field, suddenly the dogs noticed a rabbit- and of course they started running after it. They didn´t want to kill it or anything, just after the fun of chasing it. So now, the rabbit got away- but probably got wery scared-and the dogs had a few miutes of true happines. Is this good or bad?

I have great problems with the concept of good and bad- it´s wery often good for one part and bad for another, just a matter of perspective. From a subjectiv point of view it´s naturally easy to say that this or that is bad- but from an "objective" point of view??

Play with the concept of karma or life on earth beeing a school to learn certain lessons- and all our ideas of good and bad fall.
Then only the subjective feeling of pleasure or pain remain.

After all who knows why the things happen on this plane?

Is death evil ? after all the old structures must be broken down to give room for the new.

I know that some eastern energy-raising schools claim that energy raising and meditation actually atracts various bugs and other smal animals/insects..  But in your case it´s probably just the energy flowing

Daniel-

Thanks for the answer mate!

It would be nice to hear some more about how you pray and how the prayers get answerd- if it isn´t to personal for you of course!
I have talked to many people who claim to talk to god through prayer,
and asked them how they do it and how god talks back- but untill now I´we never gotten any good answer. Most people say something like -I cannot explain..

I would love to learn more about the subjekt!

"22. Now, therefore, I am known to ye by my name Nuit, and to him by a secret name which I will give him when at last he knoweth me. Since I am Infinite Space, and the Infinite Stars thereof, do ye also thus. Bind nothing! Let there be no difference made among you between any one thing & any other thing; for thereby there cometh hurt."
