Automated systems like to break themselves if you add anything, even if it seems unrelated.

Terms such as 'soul' and 'God' make me immediately take the writer less seriously. It's a drawback in these times, but the way I see it, is that these terms are used in the same way ancient gods were made up for everything from the weather to reproduction and even fermentation. They are simply outdated and make it harder for readers such as myself to receive the general message of a given piece of literature.

That being said, I find your post rather fascinating, though at a point, it feels like you're repeatedly trying to bash the same stone through my thick skull, over-and-over.

The best way to put it is walking through the front door of a dream. You basically have a completely lucid dream, but your still 'projecting' your consciousness. Projecting is just shifting your consciousness outside of the physical restrictions.

Your commands won't have much power unless you truly believe that they will. This isn't life, where you can put up a front and shout and expect things to go your way.

If you believe that it will work, then it will. I doubt this has much to do with being lucid, because if you can reason and think things through, you're obviously lucid. I don't know if there are discernible levels of lucidity.

Tell your mind to shut up! 
Seriously though, try to quiet your mind and suppress random thoughts as I believe you're projecting into Focus 2, or your own mind. I would recommend learning some meditation techniques and the basics of reaching F10 because it sounds to me like you tried to run before you walked.

Projecting into the RTZ (Real Time Zone) isn't like jumping in at your local pool. You can't just do a cannonball and BOOM!, you're in. You need to dip your toes in and test the water then gently pull yourself in.

You know how to go to sleep, right? Lay down, let the thoughts roll by, scratch that annoying itch, and relax. Guess what. Getting to the mind awake/ body asleep stage is as simple as that, with only one minor change; you must keep your mind active. The techniques that you've been using are just a few of the nearly infinite methods people have devised over the years to keep their minds awake.

Personally, I use a run down that engages all of my senses. This way, I can easily mark my progression through the phases and it serves as a familiar jumping off point.

Anyway, as to the spinning, "vertigo" feeling, you probably achieved F10, or the state during which your mind is awake and your body is asleep. This is probably how your mind perceives the lack of outside sensory input; however, it could be that your energy body was moving and you could pick up on it in your altered state. Next time, experiment and try to 'will' it to move in a specific way. When I get this feeling it's usually as if I'm opening and closing over-and-over.

When you finally separate, I would recommend a method that engages all of your senses rather than the rope method. The separation feels differently to different people, but I'm pretty sure you're not going to mistake it.

Remember, you're using 'muscles' that you've never used before and like everything else in life, it's going to take time to notice a difference. Train consistently and don't wear yourself out. Good luck on your travels, mate.

Oh god, I wish I would've checked this thread before I made the mistake of informing my grandmother of my situation... She came over and fed me until I really got sick. I love the woman, but geez lol.

Anyways, spirits are lifted and belly is full, though it feels like I ate a brick. Thanks for replying though guys and I'll go get some green tea later. I usually have some but I guess I drank it all last week.

As I write this, I haven't eaten anything for 33 hours.
I haven't slept in the past 20 hours. (Not quite a day, but I'm not sleeping for at least another 8-12 hours.)

Note this wasn't by choice. I have no food in the house, nor means to get food right now and I couldn't even begin to sleep though I feel like a zombie because the heartburn... acid erosion? reflux?... is quite painful.

Surprisingly I stopped being hungry about 4-5 hours ago, which surprises me and kind of worries me at the same time. I fear if I eat now, it's probably going to make me quite ill.

This may cause my horrible insomnia to return. I used to stay awake 2-5 days straight until I would crash standing up. I refuse to take meds unless I absolutely have to. It seems that the lack of food, while keeping me awake, is drastically speeding up the effects of sleep deprivation. I'm already having a hard time focusing and I can tell I'm not quite all "there" in the head.

Anyways, I just wanted to get some feedback and perhaps some suggestions as I'm just a kid a know my limitations in the rational thought department.

It depends on what you mean by greatly increasing your chance. Everything is more of a step in the right direction.

I would recommend a meditation to relax your body just before your actual attempt to project. This way, you can achieve focus 10/12 easier and faster reducing your risk of falling asleep.

Do a google search of relaxation meditation techniques.

Oi, a new version of the simulated violence is bad for society.

My opinion:
Game violence- stays in games
Movie violence- stays in movies
Sick people in the world- do sick things

The shooter was clearly a sociopath, who wanted to watch the world burn. He chose to strike at the Batman movie because the joker appealed to him. "I just want to watch the world burn." I mean he rigged his house with bombs for the sake of watching it be discovered or watching a bunch of poor police officers be blown to bits even after he was captured. He was in college with a very nice major and a bright future in neuroscience, but guess what, killing a bunch of people and scaring the hell out of a lot more just seemed to appeal to him a bit more.

I really hate this old argument. It needs to stop having new skins put over it.  *Sigh*

I've had dreams strongly effect my waking emotions, as I'm sure many of us have, but never to the point of an entire day of dizziness or being ill. That's quite an extreme case as far as I know.

The second one, the AP/OBE, could be such a variety of things that I don't even want to comment for fear that Xanth or Lionheart will come along and blow anything I say out of the water. (Geniuses, I tell you!)

The third occurrence, which is what most interested me, seems to have been your own mind putting you through a "test." Your mind wants you to do the right thing, hence the guilt. Let me ask you this question: If you were given the same opportunity with the innocent girl, would you succumb to your own fear and let her be taken or fight until you couldn't fight anymore?

As for this extreme energy buildup you're experiencing, I would venture to guess you're going through a transition and this is new energy, or newly discovered energy. If I were you, I would experiment with the energy and see if you can come to control it, or use it.

I applied that when I changed schools. I literally walked up to groups that were total strangers to me and introduced myself. One girl even said, "You're way more confident than other new kids."
That made me smile because I was used to being the shy kid.

I'm not sure if they are electromagnetic or not, but they seem to do the trick.

Pay particular attention to "thought = action."
This doesn't apply only to locations. You may face a lot of your fears while in the wider reality as they will easily manifest themselves.

This guide taught me a few techniques that I'm eager to try. I actually took notes in a notebook. 

Rob Dyrdek comes to my mind when I hear this.
He openly attributes all of his success to a hypnotism as a young adult. He believes in extraterrestrials and has tried time travel. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he came out as an avid APer.

So I randomly laughed, just to do it and I wound up smiling for 5 minutes straight.

I'm done taking notes from the 66 techniques, so I'll check it out now until I go to bed.

I went on that same hunt a month ago. I couldn't find it either and I can't remember the name at all. There are probably 5 sites on google that it could be, but I guess they deleted the site or changed their layout.

I'll send my thoughts your way. I used to have this problem in school and found that one day something clicked and I gained the mentality of, "Really, what's the worst that can happen? It's not like they're going to hurt me."

I have meditated and attempted to project in the following ways:
1) With the Gateway series
2) With binaural beats
3) With no accompaniment other than the smell of an incense and my inner thoughts. [This is actually my most common and I meditate often throughout the day]

I get what you're saying about "non-physical experiences." I usually use the term "wider reality" or "expanded awareness."

I know I've projected a lot, that's why I specified not consciously. I think I keep being overly specific. o.O

I never deem any technique as "not working." Every technique that I have tried has given me a unique experience, but I haven't found a technique that suits my style enough to truly achieve a jump into the wider reality.

There are a lot of great resources here, may I ask if you've had experiences with astral projection or out of body experiences?
