There are no wrong times.   The best times are when you do not have to get up early whenever that is.   You have plenty of time to relax so your mind is not stressed by thinking I have to get up out of bed.   The weekends are a good time.   For me the easiest time to ap is after a few hours or more of sleep.   Not when I feel tired.   If I feel tired I usually fall asleep.   The more times you try, the more chances you are likely to succeed.   You said you get vibrations.   That is a very good.   You are ready to get out of your body.   You just have to learn and practice to do it.  We do not always get vibrations to ap.   It is great to get a vibration because you know you can ap.

When I was in the city I asked somewhere where we were.   Someone said we were in Oklahoma.   When I ap I am always aware that things can easily come from the mind and it is not true.   I do not think this came from my mind.   I never think of American cities, particularly Oklahoma.

When imagining something does not work, I take a deep breath and relax my whole self.  It does not always work but it worked this morning.  I felt my inner self moving at a fast speed.   I was with a man.    That often happens then he goes on his way when I land somewhere.   He said it is his job to accompany me.   I was travelling for a while.   I ended up at a city.  Provided I go into the other room I do not find ap hard.   I am having lots of experiences.   My goal now is to have better ap experiences.   I can now stay out of my body longer than before.   I want to notice more about my experiences.   What were the people wearing?   When I woke up I could not answer that.  There are other things as well.

Hi all, I keep saying any technique will work when you ap.   I still think most techniques will work.   I was wrong.   I was doing the jumping technique and it did not work.   For a moment I felt my legs move so maybe it did work.   I was thinking about cakes.   Soon I have to buy a cake for mother's day.   I did not expect to be at a shop looking at a folder of all these different cakes.   I was back into my body, then I thought I will imagine eating a bun.   I was eating a bun.   Then I realised I was back into my body.   I thought if I can eat a bun I can get out of my body.   I spiritually got out of myself.   It felt like my physical body moving but it was my spiritual self.    There were times when my mind was very relaxed.   When that happens I end up at some place.    I realise that I do not always get ap signs.   If I just meditate I could be lying there for a long time without results.    I have to imagine something and if that does not work, do some more breathing and imagine something else.   
I would love to ap in bed.   I keep trying but I hardly ever ap in bed.   I go out into another room on the floor which is not that comfortable.   I lie on a thin mattress.   I am going to use the other room more often as I really want to ap more.   I do not expect any replies, I was just letting you know.   I have learnt things.   You never stop learning.

Try not to worry about it.   Let what happens happen.   If you start thinking I am not sure if this is correct, it probably will not work.   Just do it and forget about your body and eyes.   If you notice your eyes, ignore it.   After a while you probably will not notice it.   If you let it irritate you it probably will not work.   Just imagine that you are swinging on a swing and feel the movement.   If you do not feel the movement do not worry about it.

I am sorry I frustrated you.   There are people that find some things frustrating and other people do not find it frustrating.   I will not say I cannot visualise anymore.   I can visualise but everything is greyish and foggy.   I hope I did not frustrate you by saying that.

It is not a good idea to try to get excited as that can send you back into your body.   It does with me.   I have to stay calm.
The other morning I imagined that I was playing tennis.   My visualising skills is terrible but it did not matter.   I knew I was out of my body.   I was jumping high into the air hitting a ball.

I advise you not to worry how bad you visualise as it is not important.   It is not a requirement to be good at visualising.   I am extremely bad at visualising and I can still ap from visualising.    I just do the best I can and not to worry about it.   One time I was imagining I was swinging on a swing.   I could not see the swing as my visualising skills is terrible.    I still did it and it worked.   I found myself swinging on a swing as if it was real.   I was at a park and the scenery was great.   If you are meant to ap you will ap.

This works most of the time.   Get some sleep first.    I have been trying to ap without any sleep.   ap can still happen but it makes it harder.   As I said, get some sleep.  Whatever time you wake up, get up out of bed.   You might sleep for a few hours or more.
Get out of your comfortable bed and lie somewhere else that is not too comfortable.
Meditate and keep concentrating every moment so you do not fall asleep.
If you start to get too uncomfortable change to another position.
Do an ap technique.   If it does not work keep meditating for a while and then do an ap technique.
This method always works.   It is brilliant.   I have had a lot of aps this way.
Very rarely ap does not happen.   If it does not happen I have learnt not to get discouraged or disappointed and try again the next morning.   I usually ap again.

It does not sound much different than waking up six hours later and trying to ap.  You can still be in that meditative state.    It will not do any harm in trying.    Give it a go and let us know how it went.    If it does not work, keep trying for a while.   It might take a while for it to work.

That is very good advice.   Lately I have not made the effort so I do not get any result.     I also like to add you have to concentrate not to fall asleep and not get in a position that is too comfortable otherwise it is easy to fall asleep. 
If you keep falling asleep while listening to the beats, I would advise not to listen to anything.    When I listen to something I usually fall asleep as well.   People on the forum say to use intent when you want to go to a place.    It is the same as trying to stay awake.   You have to use intent to stay awake.
You say you get vibrations but it may not be real vibrations.    When you are not sure that it is vibrations, treat it like it is real vibrations.    Imagine that you are surfing, jogging, swimming or whatever you like doing and do that activity.   It could be a musical instrument or driving a car.   It may or may not work.    It will not do any harm.   If it does not work, keep trying.    Do what Lionheart suggested, practice, patience and perseverance.

I agree with lillymoon.   It is extremely helpful if you have intent.    Occasionally when I have intent I go where I want to or I see someone who I want to be with.    It is not always easy to have intent.

We all have faults.    I am also in a dream world.   I do not like that.   I am clumsy and can be awkward with people.    I also have a lot of good qualities and I think you have as well. If you were that bad you would not have a job.    Try to like yourself and think good things about yourself.    If you do that, you will be a lot happier.    Try to accept the way you are and if you do not like something about yourself try to change it.    I used to hate myself.    I realised I was a good person and I am sure you are as well.

All the time.   I can be underwater, parks, buildings or beautiful landscapes.    I must try to improve on the location where I want to go to.

You said by doing nothing did not work so do not do that.    Sometimes if I do nothing, the ap ends.    I have to try something else.   I spiritually move out of my body or I do an ap technique.    If I am doing an ap technique, I imagine that I am jumping, swimming, swinging or swimming underwater.    I would suggest you to try something that you think you would like to do.   Imagining a place should work as well.   
That does not sound like sleep paralysis.   Sleep paralysis is when your body temporarily cannot move.

Forget the body has to be asleep.   That is not necessary and sounds confusing.    Try to get comfortable and relax your body.    That is all you need to do.   By saying mind awake is the same as saying do not fall asleep.   I will be awake.    You have to concentrate and not to fall asleep.   It takes practice.   Practice meditation and do slow deep breathing for a while.   That will get you very relaxed.    You mind has to be relaxed.   If you are thinking of irritating thoughts ap usually does not work.

You can try to ap before bed.   I would not try if you are tired as you are likely to fall asleep.  Keep practicing every night and eventually it could happen.   Do not talk yourself out of not being able to ap or think it will take too long to ap.    If you do that, ap could become harder to do.
Indianspirit is correct, you cannot force ap to happen.   It will happen when it wants to happen.    Indianspirit has a good suggestion to get some sleep first as that will make ap easier.   You might surprise yourself if you try it.    It may not wreck your sleeping pattern.    I get up in the early in the mornings to practice ap and I am not tired and it does not wreck my sleeping pattern.    The arm technique is not a good idea as it will make you awake again.   I tried it years ago and I realised it was not a good idea.    Someone on another forum thought it was ridiculous.

You will know with experience.   There have been times when I was concentrated and my mind was feeling more relaxed than usual.   I did not take it as an ap sign.    I fell asleep.    When I realised it, the next time I was prepared and I ap.   Other times my body feels lighter all of a sudden and I fall asleep.    It is very important to notice the signs.    Those are just some examples.   There are many other ways.
You have to get to know the way your mind, breathing and body starts to feel different.     I know when my breathing starts to feel more relaxed and more at peace, I will ap at any moment.    It usually happens instantly.   
There are times when I do an ap technique and it works.     It does not always work.    If it does not work, I change positions and I start again.   I cannot lie in the one spot for too long.

I have learnt that by doing courses it does not mean that you you are going to learn astral projection.    I am not saying do not do a course.   By doing a course, it is fun.   You have the atmosphere and you meet people that have the same interest.    The teachers cannot ap themselves.   They teach you things which will not help you with ap.    They do not teach you meditation or the basics.    It cost a lot of money.    I do not regret going as it was an experience.    I would not do it again.    The best way to learn to ap is to practice yourself.    Practicing meditating and you are half way there.    I do not know of any courses in India.    Anyone can set up a course and charge money for it.    You do not have to have any qualifications.  It would be better to do a meditation course or a meditation retreat.   I have never been on a meditation retreat but I think it would be good discipline.

Just a tip for you that may help you.    You have to stay concentrated every moment.   You have to be aware of any ap symptoms, such as, your mind feeling different, your body feeling lighter or heavier, etc, you may see things, hear sounds and other vibrations.   If you switch off for one moment when you get a vibration, you will fall asleep.

That is great that you are going to try the couch.   If you fall asleep, keep trying.    Mostly I can stay awake but occasionally I fall asleep so give it a chance for it to work.
