Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Family
September 05, 2024, 09:14:22
Hi Nameless. I have one son. He is in his low 20s. He is such a good old soul and has always been. No stressful teen years with him at all. He is very concerned with all my projection and energy activity. He is very curious about it, but fears it may be dangerous. He asks a lot of questions, but does not want to learn to trigger events. I do think he has some innate ability as his dreams are vivid and he remembers everything. My partner and brother shares his beliefs and concerns, however, my brother's natural abilities are fairly significant as he clearly astral travels, but does not wish to learn to trigger any activity. He is of the thought that if it occurs naturally or spontaneously it is all good, but calling on it, could be a no no. I struggled with this for quite some time, as well considering my upbringing is Orthodox Christian. After much internal retrospection and (biblical) research, I have concluded it is God's wishes for me to see what I see and experience. It is nice to be able to chat with family about this, and they fully believe all this is real (as they cross reference this activity with my credibility as a person going in). So I am fortunate to have family to share my experiences with. I also enjoy sharing things with all of you. I have developed lots of nice ties here with very good and sincere people.

A bit of an update as I am way behind on posting experiences, but have resumed. Things had gradually slowed down for a couple of months, but have started picking up many weeks ago.

I was in my media room recently, for this meditation reclined in a chair. The meditation's format was one walks up a stairway leading to the "heavens". I opened a door, closed it, walked down a natural wilderness path that is beautiful. It leads to a river and a bench that I sit at. Here one hopes to see deceased soul, a spirit guide, your guardian angel etc. Sometimes I see a flash of a visual, or here an auditory sound, while other times I just get a feeling of a presence.

In the middle of the meditation something interrupted my walk down the path and I went into a light trance. Suddenly I was standing up in front of the seat I was just meditating in. I was curiously fumbling around with all my remote controls. Curiously I did it with no precision (which is the opposite of the real world). I said to myself, "why am I fumbling around with my remotes?" Things are a tad detached and dreamy with gray tones of color. I have waking awareness, but am acting in a manner I normally wouldn't. I  looked around for a bit, then zipped back into my body. I then continued walking down the wilderness path.

Now I resumed my meditation, but immediately began asking myself "was I just out of body"? Almost immediately I felt the blissful high vibrational energy traveling up and down my body. Then came a long vision of light language objects, colors and patterns seen with my third eye. I just observed and enjoyed the show. This time the patterns were morphing and changing (as opposed to being a static slide show of fixed images). This lasted about a minute or so. When this was occurring I had full waking awareness and simultaneously concluded "Yup, I was just out of body and the third eye vision and energy that occurred a minute after my OBE was evidence of such".

I then reached the bench to see a particular soul that had passed. I didn't see anyone but I felt the presence and energy around me of that particular soul. It was very comforting, beautiful and a serene energy/presence. I opened my physical eyes and I was a bit emotional. It was a very moving encounter.

Of note, this was the second time I got OOB with the direct approach. Both "direct" projections were in the RTZ. The vast majority of my projections are done by the indirect method which can be OOB in the RTZ or APs.

I thought 30 minutes had passed, but curiously 1.5 hours had passed so a bit of a time distortion.  Interesting to have multiple (3) metaphysical experiences in what was thought to be a very close time proximity.

The energy I am experiencing directly correlates to getting OOB and other metaphysical activity. For me energy is an important catalyst. I have had a breakthrough of late, where I can produce this energy with a 75% success rate. I will save this for another post.

I also had a projection about a woman I have never met. I instantly realized that I knew her forever. Her presence exuded a deep understanding and unconditional love that is not possible in this heavy realm from a human. The level of waking awareness was off the chart but so was emotions and feeling. It has stayed with me to this day. Yes, I agree, the intensity and duration about thinking about this person after the encounter is one of the tests to show how much meaning and importance a particular "dream" has. It was so moving I started a thread on it some time ago. I have not seen her since but welcome the day I do.

I am also experiencing two extremely lucid repeating dreams with high waking awareness. One of them has deep problem solving awareness as it occurs. One of the dreams has stopped as soon as the "message" was figured out. The other dream continues with an obvious deep meaning. I know the outcome of the dream while it is occurring yet it keeps recurring. Message from spirit can be very strong but often it takes some thought, analysis and sorting out. Never underestimate a synchronicity. There are no coincidences out there plain and simple.

Hello BarboraD,

My energy signature/characteristics do feel very much like what you experience. However the origin of the energy, most of the time, is fairly non-distinct. However, if I had to pick a chakra that is a bit more dominant or perhaps the origin of the energy bursts I would say it's the heart chakra. Aside from my last extreme energy event where the root chakra was clearly involved and perhaps more dominant, generally they are all involved so I do not try and isolate the energy as I am engulfed in it. I can wake up from the blissful energy and it is encapsulating my entire body (head to toe). Feels like high frequency warm euphoric waves traveling up and down the body, certainly passing through all the chakras. At times the energy feels that it engulfs my entire body permeating from the inside core of my body to all outside surface areas simultaneously in a repeating sequence (hence no vertical wave location movement). This particular energy dispersement pattern actually resembles my avatar. Usually I do not pay much attention or analyze how it is impacting my chakra system when these energy events are occurring.

On one particular event I saw a lavender color in the shape of a sphere from my third eye as the energy waves were occurring. On my last energy event I woke up with my customary energy waves, but this time it was stronger. I elected to increase the energy as you mentioned in another thread by "breathing into" the waves, and joining with their momentum. Well, it increased so much so that the state wasn't exactly as blissful as typical. I thought it was triggering an OBE/AP but my physical symptoms became too much and too distracting. It felt as if I was given a mega dose of adrenaline along with an applied electrical current. I posted on this in another thread yesterday.

My energy usually occurs at night and I wake up to it. It usually occurs with vivid third eye visions, however during this extremely high energy event, I did not have any hypnagogic imagery. At times when the energy recurs on multiple days in a row, I can have a subtle version of this energy occur even while completely awake if I am relaxing. Daytime meditation can also bring up the energy. Lastly "motion imagery events" to trigger projections is also a major contributing factor as to calling upon this energy. I do the motion event at bedtime and fall asleep to it (thank you LightBeam). Then usually within 20 to 50 minutes later I wake up to this energy. The % ratio for the motion event triggering the energy activity is very high. The % ratio started between 50-75% of the time, but now is more commonly at the 75% mark.

As far as why some people have this form of energy while others have the turbulent version... Not so sure, but I have my speculative theories on this. I do belief our individual frequency and energy reserve pool plays a role in this. Do you do any Tai Chi or Qigong? Do you have any history of high tier martial arts training? This can play a role upon the energy amount, the energy signature and intensity available at a given time. Some individuals may be just have innately high amounts of energy and combined with energy producing techniques, things just escalate. In my case, I have innate levels of high Chi energy going in, plus ample Chinese martial arts training, meditation and Emei Qigong (Wuji Gong) practice. I added in some of Robert Bruce's energy work for kicks. Yeah, I realize this is a bit extreme, and is something I am toning down a bit due to the extreme nature of my last energy event.

My energy typically feels similar but can vary in intensity. As mentioned, it is usually widespread, but on occasion has a more dominant location or at least origin. The energy is mostly blissful in nature, however when calling upon Chi for martial arts strength or flow in sports activity I.e. "state of no mind" activity it is not blissful it is just a calming purity and a feeling of unity where over analysis and over thinking fade away. I hope that makes sense.

I have experienced this energy body bliss many times. It is a very refined, warm, high frequency energy that produces a very euphoric state. I would not categorize it as being a harsh vibrational state, which many experience and find alarming at times. If this refined energy gets too strong though it is not quite as pleasant an experience. This happed to me the other night when I raised the energy to exceedingly high levels. I find the below quotation very much applicable (also see link):

"These surges of energy are purifying your body of old conditioning and limitations. Your physical structure is awakening to its true nature as consciousness, light, and energy."

https://www.deepakchopra.com/articles/experiencing-energy-surges-in-the-body/

I also see Chi energy playing an important role in my energy experiences.

Quote from: Lighthouse4 on June 25, 2020, 00:10:501. Felt SUPER strong vibrations in the middle of the night in late 2019 (only days/weeks after looking into all "this stuff"). Didn't hurt but felt like my physical body was probably reacting like when someone receives a defibrillator to start their heart again.
2. Yes, sometimes I get very heated and know my temp. within my body is going up (reminds me of hot flashes...I'm going through that "change of life time" as I'm now in my early 50s). I can also get so heated, I sweat sometimes when trying to have an OBE! Ugh!
3. The one time I felt SUPER strong vibrations in late 2019, I heard/felt a wind and the most beautiful chimes...most amazing music.
4. Yes, for sure eyes twitch.
5. Yes, some shapes and colors can appear but it's not that vivid.
6. Yes, heart palpitations and/or heart beating faster.
7. Hmm... not loss of breath but needing to breathe more intentionally to "catch" breath.
8. No physical pain.
9. Yes, body twitching.
10. No sleep paralysis.
11. Yes, hearing loud sounds and sometimes voices.
12. No hand touching me...probably because I have put out my intention that that would freak me out.
13. Yes, to astral wind... that one time (#3)... both heard and felt it.
14. Inner vibration/chills... I feel like I can bring this on anytime I want. (??? not sure what that means)
15. Phantom/etheric body movement... I have felt both jerking movements with fingers and hands and a bunch of sloshing with my head and body which is pretty typical when I meditate or become aware out of a dream state.

:-)

Pretty much had a very similar experience, having most of the symptoms you encountered.  It was the strongest energy I have experienced to date. Felt like I was given a megadose of adrenaline, with perhaps a controlled but fairly significant electrical current applied to the body. I would add very heavy breathing and very loud tinnitus to the list. This lasted for about 10 minutes or so, which felt like forever. Curiously I did not have the hypnagogic images that I typically get with mild to moderate energy activity. I have had plenty of experiences to know the OOB and APs are real, but to experience major physical symptoms as well from the metaphysical activity really reaffirms everything. If I was not so aware of what was going on, I would have surely gone to the ER. One could easily interchange many of these symptoms with a cardiac emergency.

Quote from: Frostytraveler on April 26, 2024, 14:49:14A new daytime occurrence is starting. Yesterday and today I have dozed off each day during early morning between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. The dozing was just for 5 to 10 minutes, Yesterday I awoke with a long energy surge. There was no astral vision with it. This morning after a 10 minutes doze, I had the same 30 to 45 second energy surge, but this time there was a visual with eyes closed. A sphere appeared that looked like the sun, but not nearly as bright. It was purple in color with purple rays emanating from it. The object resembled what the sun looks like when viewed with a powerful telescope where the solar flares leave the sun and disappear. Now the third eye chakra is purple with the crown chakra being lavender. Could this be related in any way? Is it possible to visualize/see the third eye chakra?

I just came across this thread. Interesting as the thread starter speaks of the violet flame (as described in my post). Hmm.... seems a bit similar to what I experienced.

Interesting that the medical/scientific arena is starting to show interest in Kundalini Energy/awakening. Also says more studies are needed.

I watched the video. Thank you. It appears you went through a lot with the Kundalini awakening, as most do. I don't think what I am experiences is quite the same, but I realize that energy can effect everybody differently.  Maybe too early to know for certain. The difficult symptoms aren't there, other than an occasional headache. It is definitely an evolving energy beyond that which I have experienced, as it is present much more often and lingers on long after what I have experienced with previous energy surges. I will keep a close eye on just how this evolves.

@omcasey "Trust in yourself and in your Inner being from day one and hold to this focus with all your might ( let nothing distract you from it ). It will take you further than any other possible choice."

I have no doubt I will have no problem trusting my inner being and maintaining my focus. Thanks for your advice.

The energy occurred several times today and is lasting longer and longer. The last one lasted several minutes intensely and over an hour mildly. The energy is not unpleasant, but I am starting to get headaches.

Yes, I feel that life's challenges can really effect the functioning of our chakras.  Interesting, I have never heard of a pendulum being used for Chakra assessment. Perhaps I will try that. I do like RB's New Energy Way methods as I work that into my Qigong practice. I also agree with your thoughts that perhaps my energy being so far off my body indicates that energy development is not needed and the focus should be on using/moving the energy properly.

Thanks for the response. We definitely think along the same lines.

I am fortunate enough to have family that is willing and interested in my experiences and have been very helpful in dealing with all that has occurred in the past year. LightBeam and Xanth have also been incredibly helpful. It's important to communicate with those experienced in these matters to help process things as they occur.

Most of my family has always been somewhat interested in the paranormal and metaphysical. My brother and I from a very early age have been drawn to these topics for whatever reasons. Bigfoot, Loch Ness, UFOs, Ghost stories/hunting are all fair game for discussion, along with other more traditional matters (though at this point I can't stomach politics or professional sports chatter. ;) ).

The "flashover" point you mention was the case with me, as there is a very specific life occurrence that opened the door fully. No doubt about that.

#291
Many of the points you make appear to be the majority school of thought. Yes, Teal's opinion on Kundalini energy is a bit different than what many state. I thinks there are some points made that have universal application. Living authentically and not resisting this energy (or any energy) makes sense to me. I understand that with some awakenings, and depending on what the catalyst used, that Kundalini can be suddenly awakened and fully released too abruptly. For some, this can make the symptoms far worse.  Resisting an abrupt and full Kundalini awakening is likely impossible, while resisting sufficiently enough to keep this energy dormant by a lifetime of no spiritual development seems plausible.

Perhaps I am subconsciously concerned that there will be a rough patch ahead if this energy gets even stronger. I am hoping the gradual release of this energy and that laying the spiritual groundwork will make the transition easier, as Teal states.

In my earlier post I mentioned that of Chi energy is a 2, then "this" energy is an 11. I do not believe that Kundalini energy and Chi energy are the exact same thing. At minimum they are very different in scope and in intensity. At maximum, they are completely different energies.

So it appears that from your post even a top down Kundalini energy awakening could still be a rough ride. Regardless, even with differing opinions, all is helpful to me and I assimilate bits and pieces that ring true with me. Thanks for your response.

Having a scientific and analytical mind, I would say OBEs, APs and other metaphysical experiences are caused from the polar opposite, and are products of the "unconfused" opened and awakened mind. A confused mind is a mind that has horse blinders on, and follows the safety of the masses with traditional static thinking. Difficult to expand on one's awareness and the reality of things when they never look outside the box. There is also something called expectation bias, and this applies to skeptics as well. I can't think of anything that will stifle spiritual growth quicker than to have the preconceived notion that the spiritual realm does not exist.

Before I had all my metaphysical experiences, I always wanted to know and have proof of what lies beyond the veil, proof  that we are more than our physical bodies, and proof of the existence of the afterlife.  The closest thing I got to actual proof in some aspects is a word that was spoken out in a deep meditation that was fully unknown to me in the physical world. Once looked up it had particular meaning. This was so far beyond coincidence even the staunchest skeptic would take note. On another occasion I saw something that I had no idea had been reported to exist. The exquisite detail of the experience was beyond imagination or mere dream. I have also had numerous astral vision events (eyes closed) with associated energy bursts occurring simultaneously that are strong enough to wake me up and continue well after being fully awake. So this is just another example of what convinces me that these metaphysical occurrences are real.

Some of these events are so moving that we don't feel the need to "win over people" once we have witnessed the proof for ourselves. We are convinced of the reality of things, and that is what is the most important.  I feel a sense honor that I have been allowed to see what I can see and I just feel the need to share my experiences in a positive light. Dealing with skeptics can be a bit of a downer, not only with this "science" subject, but with just about any subject, hobby or with life in general. Those with open minds will absorb info that resonates with them, while it will be swiftly rejected by the skeptics. It is what it is.

There are other examples and they all add up to convince us of the true realty of things. The more I see, the more I believe, the less I feel the need to prove anything. So even though proof would be nice and may add some extra reassurance, it is not something I am overly concerned with. My focus is on how to improve these experiences and evolve spiritually.

I did go for one session of energy healing, but not Marconic type. When the Marconic energy healer wanted to do a sample quick session remotely, she said it would be necessary for me to cover all the mirrors and unplug all electronics in my room, I got a bit nervous and passed on it for now.

The energy healer I did go to, for a in-person session, was a Reiki master, and from what what I gather an angel energy type, where guides, angels, etc. might come through. I was told my energy was at least 12" outside my body, which is unusual. So instead of being worked on with her hands an inch or two off my body, her hands were about 12" to 15" off my body. The session was long. Unusual experience. Twitching of my eyes, a few tears for no apparent reason, warmth and coldness felt throughout my body.  Hands felt tingling then heavy numb feeling. When I got up I couldn't think that clearly for a several minutes. Very light headed and very bad chills to the point of me having visible shaking. Note it was not cold in the room. The chills and light headedness passed in 10 minutes. Placebo? I really don't think so.

She said for me to hold off or at least limit the independent new energy work I was doing and said I have enough going on as it is. She said I need to work on some grounding exercises, and that my crown chakra looked atypical, heavy as if it was holding energy and not moving it around.

How did it effect projecting? I was on a bit of a downturn going in, and that continued after the energy visit for 3 more months then activity picked up. I haven't been back yet. If anyone has any thoughts on the above, especially why my energy may be located so far outside of my body, please comment. Thanks.

I have been reading much regarding Kundalini energy/life force energy and its "awakening" over the past year, but this video I just came across is one of the best explanations of it. The video is by Teal Swan and I linked it below. The video resonates with me on so many levels. It also explains why this energy's release with me hasn't been a difficult process. Difficulties arise when the Kundalini energy is triggered all at once in one that is not ready for it in many respects. Yes, "a top down" release appears to be a more gentle process, but there is more to it than that which Teal explains. She talks about lowering/eliminating "resistance" to release the Kundalini energy that is always within us. If done properly then the associated Kundalini "syndrome" symptoms are minimal or absent altogether, which appears to be in my case. Asking the big questions of who we are, what are we here for and being an authentic person really gets the process going. She says "that what we are in the world today keeps us the safest". We become mere "copies" of other people. Sheep if you will, desensitized and a follower of the masses. This has never been me. In doing so we never realize who we are, and this prevents us from being authentic. Being authentic and its accompanying self awareness is a major trigger for the release of this energy and progress in the ascension process. This all rings very true to me.

Coincidentally, I discuss many of the topics discussed in the video in a detailed post I have been working on during the past week. The post describes an incredible metaphysical experience I had many months ago, and discusses some of these very topics surrounding and predating the occurrence. The word "authentic" along with other topics discussed in her video are in my post. As such, not only am I more convinced than ever that the energy I am experiencing is Kundalini energy, but she affirms other aspects of my spiritual ascension process as well.

Dolores Cannon states that one of the main things we learn to do in our physical existence is manipulate our energy. Isn't that exactly what's going on during these astral vision events? Many things we do manipulate and develop our energy, but when these events occur it feels like the pinnacle of all the work I have done. It's that powerful and exhilarating.

Thanks for the link! Looking forward to reading it. Yes, it appears like a "show" in the middle of the night, of which I am energized and instantly awakened. Interesting that this could be Kundalini energy. I have done lots of previous reading on Kundalini, but never came across the "top down version". Seems like this is a distinct possibility. You are correct, it feels nothing like the vibration stage.

I just read your link and your experience. Still absorbing all that you discussed. Some of it definitely rings true with me. The energy vortex you mention, perhaps under a different context, seems to be a very good description of what I saw above.

I had an astral vision event last night. Same thing, woke up from sleep with my body being thoroughly engulfed in a long energy surge. I remembered my post while it was occurring and I said to myself "pay careful attention to the energy's  location", which I did. It was head to toe, arms, legs, torso, head, everything. So it doesn't appear to be the isolated location of traditional Kundalini spine energy, but perhaps feels similar. So incredible to be this aware and be thinking in great detail of questions I need answered while the event occurred in real time. Not only did this feel like full waking awareness, but felt one step further, it felt as if I was fully awake with eyes shut once again.

What I saw this time I have seen on two other occasions. Black field of view with a bright white lit disc shape twinkling/gleaming in the blackness. It was of a circular flat shape in the distance, not unlike looking at a full moon. The lit disc was folding onto itself inward then went back to its full size, then folded once again. The process repeated over and over. The disc slowly grew closer and got larger. This lasted what felt like 25 to 30 seconds. Dare I say it looked like a portal. I focused on it without honing in too much as I feared it would end if I did so. I drew myself closer to it, but couldn't help but study it. Then the astral vision dissolved. Such an interesting phenomenon. I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. Perhaps when this occurs next, I will imagine being elsewhere at a distant location to see if it triggers a full astral projection.

I do wonder if an Electromyography (EMG) test (or some other test) if attached to one's body during such an energy event could measure such energy. The EMG measures/detects electrical activity in response to a nerve's stimulation of the muscle. Here there is no muscles stimulated or contracted with such surging energy, so not sure if this would be the right test as the energy is not associated with neurons-muscular relation. If all this is occurring in the pineal gland, it would be very difficult to measure. Likewise if purely in the metaphysical domain, would also be difficult if not impossible to measure. The science side of me would love to see this measured. I guess if one couldn't initiate this in a consistent manner it would be impractical to attempt to measure it, even if it could be measured. I do recall there were many attempts to measure Chi energy, and some results were somewhat revealing.

I have also been thinking about the locations of the surging energy, and after some thought, I believe it was a head to toe phenomenon (not just limited to the spine). Next time it occurs, I will take note.

Thank you for the responses. The link was interesting. Yes, they are not the typical vibrational state vibrations (violent, disruptive, loud etc...). I really never get the traditional vibration state sensations even when a projection event occurs. Instead they were smooth energy surges traveling up and down the spine/torso rapidly. It really does feel like you have been completely electrified by a positive warm flow of energy. Nothing alarming or scary about this at all, in fact quite the opposite. Once again, no loud noises, and I was not paralyzed. I have read much about Kundalini, but have never connected the two. After reading the link, it makes sense that it is at least Kundalini-like and hence a  "similar" sensation. In a month this can occur as much as 2x per week or sometimes not at all. Either way, it is a fairly common occurrence for me now.

One very important thing, I am so sure these energy surges and visions are real, that it really brings credence to my belief that my AP and OBEs are real as well. They all re-emerged at the same time and are completely connected.
#299
I have had many AP and OBE events in 2023 that were triggered by a specific life event. I have had some other activity over the years but nothing this consistent. Some of these are fairly elaborate, and are entered into by the indirect method. Something I find very interesting. I have these repeated astral vision events that wake me up at random times during the night. I awaken with energy surging through my body. It's hard to describe, other than to say it is not uncomfortable, and feels like I have plugged into "something" metaphysical. I am well versed in Chi and have some experience in energy work and these surges are at another level. If Chi energy as normally experienced is a 2  then these surges are an 11.

With these surges come an accompanying high frequency vibration, similarly not a harsh vibration and not unpleasant. There is no loud sounds when this occurs. The visions plus energy combined are extremely exhilarating and almost reminds me of the movie Lucy where she taps into "something" beyond the typical, the ordinary and the physical. It is really a challenge to explain such an incredible energy surging through the body.

When this first occurs I do a test to make sure my eyes are already closed. 100% of the time they are closed. As to what a I see, it can be random things in incredible detail. It can be one image or scene, or it can be a slide show of images. It can be an environmental scene, or an object such as a dining room table. Last night it was wicker baskets all strung together with nuts and fruit in them of which I could not identify. When it's scenery, I attempt to enter it by zooming in without studying it too closely (or things dissolve). By moving into it I hoped to trigger an OBE/AP. No luck on this. Of late I tried to roll out of my body as these visual events and energy occurs. I feel my body physically moving so I stop. It's a bit unsettling to be so awake and feel all this going on, but at this point I am used to it. Sometimes I see faces, or eyes staring at me, and occasionally a face that is a bit frightening (not human). At that point I just open my eyes and end the astral vision. I have also heard astral wind during martial arts Chi training, but that was long ago. No wind or noticeable sounds with these astral events.

What is amazing is that though it starts when sleeping, it continues when I am 100% awake (with eyes shut) so I am positive these are not dreams and not the hypnagogic state. I am absolutely certain these are real events. In comparison, when I have an AP or an OBE, I always go through a process/analysis of it relative to waking awareness, thought processes, all details, emotions, etc... This helps me determine what exactly occurred. With the former, I instantly know for certain what has just occurred.

These astral vision events almost feels like I am looking into a window of another realm. It is a fascinating occurrence, but I wish I knew more as to their meaning and purpose.

Is this a fairly common occurrence among those who have OBE and AP experiences? If you have any thoughts or comments, please post.

I had a medical event in my 20s where arthro CT scan dye caused a terrible reaction which can end in two ways: your body either overcomes the invading dye reaction/anaphylaxis rather quickly or it ends in very serious anaphylactic reaction that can lead to shock and possibly death.

When the dye was administered by IV I immediately knew something wasn't right as I felt I was drifting away. I soon physically became unconscious, but internally I was completely conscious. I had a feeling of peace, but I felt like I was falling backwards into blackness for a good distance. I did feel a separation of sorts. I had full waking awareness, but I was helpless to control anything. What felt like many minutes later I woke up to an entire room filled with doctors and nurse staff scrambling around me.

The doctors were very tight lipped about what happened, but the nurses later told me more details and indicated that it was a close call and that my muscles in my body all clenched tight making me very ridged. The nurses told me to completely avoid dye in any future test. I told the nurse what I experienced as she was interested in the story. She said she was not surprised of my account based on what she saw. This was the first time I experienced the full waking awareness state, and was just the beginning as other events followed with indirect projections and lucid dreaming.

While this medical induced occurrence does not fit the traditional model of NDE, I do wonder if it may have helped facilitate future lucid/projection events.
