yes, well, spinning a psi-wheel.. I have not seen it done.
Perhaps it works perhaps and it dosn't. But still, is there not a slight difference between spinning a psi-wheel and lifting enormous stone blocks?

But, honestly. So many people say that the old egyptians did this or that, why should such very valuable abilitys have gotten lost..
If people once could comunicate with thelepathy, or move giant stone blocks with there will, why not carry on this tradition? Why labour at al back in egypt when you could do anything with the mind.
Personally I think that this is an important question.

And all people who claim that they can do TK or levitation, why not show it? I would not doubt it if I saw it. I am open minded. I know alot of pepole who are into the spiritual stuff, and they al believe that this and that can be done, but no one I have ever meet has actually seen anything in real life. Actually many modern magickians say that magick works on the mental plaine only.

Pretty wild idea that the pyramides where built with "mental powers".
So in that case, why has this art of moving objects with the mind got lost? I know that some claim that there still are people around that can levitate or do TK or whatever.. but
has anybody actually SEEN anyone move a thing with rara magical powers?
In the mind everything is possible, but I suspect that it is a bit different in the material world. I would like to have some evidence before I belive in it. After al there are people who belive in elfs and little green men to- now dose this prove that they exist?
A bit of healthy scepticism is not a bad thing really..

If this kind of TK really would have existed, I am pretty sure there would have been proof of it.

Yeah,of course, it depends on the people that are in the group.A group ususally starts with one person that is very dediacted, and starts a group in a town. Perhaps the person who started the gropu I whent to is different then the group you whent too.
But I still have to say that all the people in the group I have meet where pretty blind followers. No discussions about other systems. They are al wrong and not in acordance with the master..

As far as I know The Falun Gong group is a bit sectarian.
I actually meet with them and practiced with them, and they
are not bad people in any way, but they are ready to believe anything that the founder says. I know that they have the habit of reading "the book" many times. They read the book from beggining to end and then start over again. The problem I had with them was that they all believd the words of the leader blindely. So you could not discuss what they do and what teh methods are good for, you coudl not compare there system with any other system, or try to understand what actually is supposed to happen when you do the exercises.
So if you like to be part of a dogmatic group without the possibility of free thinking- then it'sthe thing for you. Otherviese you might have a problem fitting in.

they believe that the leader is something close to good, and that he possess al kinds of supernatural abilitys.  What Falun Dafa really is, is a mixture of buddhist ideas and new age, centered arounde a carismatic leader.

It's actually not me who has this dejavu combined with energy loss and nausea, it is my girlfriend. So I can only say what she has told me in second hand. Well, anyways, as everybody else, I have had deja vu too. I have to say that I still am very interested in what the phenomen really is.

This seems to be what you could expect to hear from the sicentific world. I'm not saying that it is untrue, but some science is always limited because it has to find the explanation within a certain field. If the brain would store the memory in the old memorys compartment.. would it not be wierd if you under a longer period,lets say a few minutes, feel constantly that what happens in the present has been experienced before, that this should actually be memories? Can you experience the present in memories? I thought that the whole idea of present experience is that it is not a memorie. I really lack the knowledge in this fild- but at the same time I suspect that brain scientists actually do too. They are pretty much working with abstract theoris too. (I am at the university myself, and know that science not has to be very sceintifical al the time, a lot of it is actually ideas and theories..)  

Another interesting thing is dejavu within dreams. That you dream that you do or se something that you have done before, and then after waking up have a feeling that you have had this dream before many times.

No this is not a joke.

I tried the same thing you did, and got wery exited too. But then because I am a quite sceptical person.. I got the idéa to double check. So I tried to take one hand away.. and move the other as I had done before. Now I got EXAXTLY
the same feeling. I think that the "magnetic feeling" is due to an eache in the muscles.. ar rather its a feeling you get fromm moving the arms that slow in a quite static position.

Now I´m not saying that you cannot create energy between your hands, but the thing, or rather the feeling you got, was probably due to the arms and the muscles.

Try it out- Be scientific!!!

I agree with Rodentmous- explaining how to meditate would be like explaining
hoe to be in love...

It´s a state of mind. I have never done any speciall exercises to meditate.
I have never counted the breaths or used mantras- for me personally it
gets in the way of the meditation. I just sitt down and breath slowley-
and then stop thinking. Of course this is not entierly easy..
But somehow, whe I get thoughts I simply ignore them, and try to feel my breathing. It works well for me.
The Asana or posture can be of much help to. Try sitting cross leged on the flor- that is a really good help.

Fenris, I understod your post like a defence for robert Bruce integrity.
What I reacted on was this- Why the defenc? At least my intepretation of MadJacks post was this- If Bruce sais he has seen sai Baba and sai baba is a fake, Might Bruce be wrong on other points to? Surely this would not need defence! I see that as a legitimate question.

That was my personal reaction to Roberts statement about Sai Baba.
I reacted in the same way as MadJack. But still I do belive that much
of what Bruce says is wery valid and true. And subjektively it surely
is true.

I don´t think anybody, Madjack included, would question Bruce integrity, rather perhaps question the objective truth of the meeting with Sai Baba.
I am sure that Robert Bruce tells the truth- how ever this dosn´t meen that it actually was Sai Baba that showed himselfe for Robert. It might have been something taking on the form of Sai Baba.

And I think with the accusation on Sai Baba, which seem pretty valid to me, one perhaps should ask that question...

If I would meet a hig spirit on the astral plane, how would I percive it?

After all, ewery time you see something new on any plane, you try to put it into a form that you know. A humanoid, a fish´, a mamal..
The mind cannot grasp totaly new things.
And on the astral plane where things are not material... who knows how
they REALLY look ? Perhaps we give form to or interpretate al things there?

I have tryed to start a discussion on this before but never gotten any replies..
Is this such a unconfortable question? - or is it just not interesting to anybody but me?  

I would like your oppinion on this Fenris. You seem to have a pretty sharp
mind when it comes to these things. And you know alot about these things- so I would value your opinion.

Fenris- up til now I have always considered your posts to be wery good and interesting.. so what you just wrote starled me. If Bruce claims to have seen Sai Baba, and Sai Baba is a fake- what then? Yes, what then?
I canno´t se how this this possibly could be interpreted as Bruce abusing children.

Bruce said that he had seen a video of Sai Baba before ho got the vision.
I know what my teacher in religios psychology would have said about that.
In almoust all visions it is possible to trace the images back to images and symbols that people already know. You will NEVER have a vision of krsihan if you never have seen him, the same goes for jesus, mary Sai Baba and
al other things you might see.

And yeas- this happens to be a fact... And Yes, I HAVE studyed the psychology of religion and visions at the university.

Why do you think that people living in catholic countrys get visions of mary, and Hindus se Krishna? Because it actually pgysicall is Mary or Krishna?
I think not- It seems more logical that we choos in what form we cloth the the things we se when they happen to be of non physicall form.

There is one interesting case, a guy in India who searched for religious identity in the indian religions and the veda. He got a vision of Jesus and converted. Now he had been in contact with christianity through missionarys.
So he had knew the christian symbols, and he new HOW Jesus should look.
And he is one of the few indians who have gotten a vision of Jesus.. the rest of them usually se Krishan or some of his kin.

Meditating right after a meal dosn´t work for me, it is wery hard
with a full stomage. But I also have great problems meditating when
I feel hungry.

Dose the feeling of hunger wear of after a while when meditating?

Some years ago (6-7) I was anorectic.. I actually enjoyed the feeling
of hunger and going on an emrty stomage. I hardly eat anything.
Of course this was not good for the body. But what dose make
a person to be like this? Might there be some hidden reason for this? After al anorexia is like a wery loong fast. And it seems like the fast has wery good effects on the mind. Perhaps it stimulates the othere energys of the body/etheric body..

Fenris- Pleas tell us more about your feelings during the fast!
It would be interesting to hear how you percive it after a while.
If it is a good or a bad feeling.

You might be right! Perhaps I actually do se the aura.
Anyway it is a wery beautifull effect, aura or not aura.
I will continue to prqactice and meditate, and once I start
seeing this effect under oder conditions- then I will know that
it is the real thing.

Well, loking at mobius list it seems like the thing to avoid eating under a "semi-fast" are any fat or otherwise heavy foods. I think this is good thinking- after all the metabolic process of the body uses loads of energy.

Kakkarot- Yeah, I have heard that fast has that effect to- I wounder one think thougt, what happens when you sit down and suddenly brun those ten years of old chemicals that have been loocked up in the body fat? Could this not be a bad shock for the body?

Sahlyn- well who could disagree with a monks eating habits LOL

But well, it would be interesting to know WHY fasting helps for meditation..
If we know exactly why it would be alot easier to avoid the right things.

The strange thing is that I only manage to se something as an aura when I look at my hand against a whery light coloured background, like the white wall in my bathroom. And I know that it dosn´t take wery many seconds fro my eyes to create an after image.

The phenomenon I gett is a thin line around the body in a glowing blueish colour. It is wery beautifull. But in order to get it I have to unfocuse my eyes and glide in and out of focus till it apperas. I would actually prefere to be able to se the aura while focusing in the object I am looking at.

Fenris- Hoe do you usuall focus your eyes? Do you need any speciall backround light to se the aura?

I have been trying to learn to see auras for some while now. I have noticed that it is possible to create a quite interesting effect by looking at the hand for example against a light background- preferable a white wall. I see this line around the hand in a glowing colour. It is wery thin. But I don´t think that it really is a real aura. I think that it is an optical effect. When you look at something for a while you get an after image.. I think this is something realated to that. The effect is really nice anyway. I will continue to practise to see auras- and perhaps one day I will have sucsess. The hard question it this- How do I know when it is the real thing and not just an optical illusion?

I would say that you perhaps should choose not to fast. I have never
done it, even though my reasons are not so strong as yours. I am pretty slim to and try to gain wight in the gym, andf I know that a fast would cost me alot of my muscles.. and I don´t feel like losing them.
I know that some people do fast- but I really don´t think it´s necesary.
Id you would decide to go through with it then ask yourselfe this-
What is the effect of fasting?
I guess that there are two effects.
1. Having a pretty emty stomage- no energy used for didgestion
2. hunger...

Well, number one- the emty stomage..
You can get around that on by only eating light foods- like fruit and juice,
basically foods with lots of vitamins and sugar...

and number two? - well.. that will be the though one for you if you don´t
whant to loose weight.

Fear is a security reflex of the mind- in stead of standing looking at the lion
we get afraid and run away. This has it´s obvouis positive effects. But then again, if one has a quik and rational mind, it should be possible to come to these conlusions without fear. Fear should only be a indicator that there is a possible danger- and if the danger dosn´t seem to close, the best thing is to examine it rationally. For in the end fear is only another refelx- just like blinking or ducking when something comse in your direction.

sugest Dion Fortunes novels such as The Sea Preastess and
Moonmagick.. They are the best books I have ever read.
And they contain alot of occult knowledge. I have read The Celestine Prophecy too, I liked it... but I still prefere Fortunes books.

I´m working in a "endstation" for elderly who are demented and senile..
It is pretty wierd sometimes. Many seem to have gone back a few steps in there mental age- I think that this might be a way of escaping the unavoidable.
After al- they know that they never will leav that place again- it´s not getting any better.. only worse- now who would not get mad from that?

I have to ask you americans again why you need to say a pledge in school and other places at al? I think we had something similar in sweden some 50 years ago. But things are changing- it´s the 21th century.
People hopfully will start to se the world as one place in america to one day I hope. Here in europe most young people would like to move to a new country and try out a different culture. We take a pride in beeing multi cultural over here. To me it seems wery strane that school kids should have to say a pledge to a governmental system. After al what have they to comapar with?

I whant to stress this point- CULTURE is not the same as a governmental system- and it seems to me that the amercian pledeg is to a governmental system. And when it comes to cultures- only a fool could go around beliving that his culture is the best on earth..
The world is full of nice cultures- there´s more than the
US out there you know!
