It sounds like you need to convince your inner self that you can do it.  Your inner self has lost confidence and does not believe it can do it so you are having problems.  Every day keep telling yourself that you can do it and it is easy.  It may not work overnight but in time it will work.  That is how it is for me.

I advise you to read ap books for fun and not to take things too seriously.  Authors of ap books are just beginners like us.  They do not know everything.  The best way of finding out are from your own experiences.  A good way to remember things is to repeat things that you see a few times when you are out of your body.  It helps you to remember things.  That is what I learnt.  You have to find what works best for you.  I think it is a shame to stay out of your body for a short time.  You work hard to get there and then it ends.  Just my opinion. 
I am not sure what you mean by the next question.  When I ap I am aware of what is happening, if that is what you mean.
When I ap I do not hear any noises or vibrations.  It has stopped happening.

You have to have intent like Xanth says.  I was thinking about this recently and it is true.  I used to be able to go to places and see people.  I used my intent by going through a door, wall or window and I expected to see that person or to be at that place.  I was determined to succeed and I mostly did.  You do not have to go through walls etc. but it can be easier to get that intent or determination.

I have tried sitting lots of times but I find it too uncomfortable.  I try to put my mind to it but I am still not able to sit for a long time.  I can ap lying down but my goal is to be able to ap anytime I want to.  I took your suggestion and that was to get a bean bag.  When I try it out I will let you know how it goes.  I will not be able to use it for the next few days as I will be away on holidays.

As you said, practice, practice and practice.  The more experience you get, the better you will get.  You will not need to ask people what should I have done as you will know what to do.  It does not worry me you asking.  It comes down to practice and experience.

Forget the vibrations as it may distract you.  You do not have to get vibrations to ap.  You may get a very slight vibration such as your forehead may feel more relaxed than normal.  That happens to me a lot.  You said, you feel numb.  As someone said you are very close to ap.  When that happens you can do an ap technique or do what I do.  I spiritually get out of myself, (people do not seem to like doing that) or I let my whole self relax even more.  I do not have to do anything.  My inner self is separated from me.  I hate saying my body.

Thanks for that.  Using love is not necessary.  I forgot that people use love because of fear they may have and it helps them.  I just have to use more intent and to be more demanding.  I also have to make sure I am aware when I am demanding it, otherwise the ap experience will end.   That happened later today.

Hi all, I have been told to use intent if you want to see someone or go somewhere.  Do you have to have love in your heart for it to work as well?   It has been on my mind for a while.

I have been practicing lately but I keep falling asleep.  Yesterday I concentrated on being awake.  I did not ap and I did not fall asleep.  I can mostly ap after I have had some sleep.  My goal is to be able to ap whenever I want to.  I will keep practicing and not to give up.  I remember a while ago I did start to ap in the afternoons without any sleep but I stopped doing it as I was having problems with my legs.  I do not have that problem anymore as I take magnesium tablets.  This morning I ap and I stayed out a lot longer thanks to your advice.  I looked at the scenery and I took in what I was seeing.  I still have problems not being able to go where I want to go to.  I have to do what Xanths says to do and that is have intent.  I do not think I have intent and that why I do not get there.

Xanth is correct.  You have to work at it and keep working at it.  I used to be able to ap without doing anything but not anymore.  I think that happens to some people then it does not happen anymore.  The easiest way to ap is to get some sleep first so you are not over tired.  If you are really tired you tend to fall asleep.

It only happened once about a few months ago.  I was not expecting to ap.  It was getting late in the morning and I just laid down for a short while and I could hear music.  I thought that was strange, someone has put a CD on.  I could hear it just like someone was playing music close by.  After a while I realised that no one was playing any music or had a CD on.  That was a nice experience.  It is a lot better than hearing awful or strange things.

Wow, that is amazing.   You are not selfish.  You are entitled to do what you want to do provided it does not hurt anyone else.  We eat far too much sugar.  Everything you buy has sugar in it, tinned tomatoes, tinned pineapple, cereals etc.  There are natural sugars, such as, oranges, peaches etc.  I do not eat a lot of sugar.  I do not have sugar in my coffee, tea or cereal.  I could try to eat less sugar.  My husbands says that to be a vegetarian you have to make sure you get the right balance of nutrients otherwise your health could suffer.  It would be harder for you as you do not have milk, eggs, cheese etc.  You say that you feel really good and your dreams are crystal clear.  It sounds wonderful.  I think I will try harder not to eat any junk food.  That will be a start.  I do not eat a lot of junk food.  I eat two biscuits a day.  When I finish the packet I will not buy any more.  I will stop eating packets of crisps chips that my grown up children bought.  I have been having one small packet a day.  What about caffeine and tea?  Do you really think that is bad for you?   I re-read what you said and it is tempting to try it but there is a lot of food to give up.  Could you be over doing it?  You could perhaps be able to eat more things and still get the same results as you do.  I do not know.  I am asking you.  You sound like you are limited in what you can eat so what foods do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I have read that you can ap when you are sick.  I have never ap when I am sick.  I rarely get sick and when I do I just want to get better as I feel awful so I do not bother about ap.  If you think you can ap, then go for it.  It would be wonderful if you could ap.  You would not be feeling like you are now.  You would feel no discomfort or anything unpleasant.  
I think it would depend on what sort of sickness you have as to how easy it would be.  If you have a sore throat and it is hurting then you would be thinking about how it hurts and it is harder to breathe as your nose is clogged up.  Do not let me put you off, if you think you can do it, then try it.
As the other post said, you could lucid dream.

Lionheart said it.  The more you practice meditating, the quicker you will succeed.  Even if you think you are not getting anywhere.  Do not give up.  I made the mistake of giving up.  I did not realise that it was helping me a lot.

Honestly.
I think it is important to keep trying to improve yourself but I do not think it would increase your chances.  I just realise as I am typing this, I could be wrong.  I am not dwelling on the past anymore.  I thought to myself what do I need to do to improve myself.  When bad things enter my mind, I push them away.  By doing that it is making my mind more at peace and calmer.  It will be easier to ap.  Also I feel a lot better.

I realise everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another.  From all my experiences (I never learnt from a book) there is a time limit.  If you take too long to get out, the ap will end.   There was only one time that it was different.  The vibrations ended and I thought I wrecked it.  I did an ap technique and I got out of my body.

Thank you very much.  I feel really happy knowing that.  Sometimes when I am meditating I hear things.  I will practice aping when I hear things.  When I see things I can ap.  I meditate in the afternoon when I am not tired.

Hi all, does anyone know if you can ap when you hear things?  Yesterday I was meditating and I heard a voice saying, its a secret.

I suppose I should have had a heading, do you get any vibrations instead of the other heading? 
If I do not get any noticeable vibrations, I realise I get a slight vibration.  I have to notice when my mind is starting to go into a dream or it feels more relaxed than normal.  This morning I noticed that my mind was getting more relaxed and I let my whole self relax as well.  I was going to some place but I could hear my husband breathing.  I got distracted so I woke up.  I am going to try to ap in another room tonight or morning so I will not get the distractions.

The easiest way to leave your body is, in the morning after you had some sleep, you let your whole body relax.  You keep repeating it until you ap.  What will happen is, your inner self becomes very relaxed and you just go out of yourself.  You do not have to do anything.

I do not have time at the moment to read what others or myself have said.  I hope I am not saying what someone has already said.  Belief is very important.  If you have doubts that you can ap in the morning, then ap will become harder.  That is how it is for me.  I used to be able to ap in bed a lot but not anymore.  I had to change my beliefs and it did not happen overnight.  It took many weeks.  I can now ap in bed without falling asleep.   I have a sleep first.  This morning I was about to ap three times but I got distracted.  The cat was walking around and the dog was making a noise.  I think I will have to get away from the distractions and ap in another room.  That was a shame as I spent a long time changing my thinking.  If the animals do not make any noises, my husband snores.
