Some thing that may help would be to focus in on the emotional context that comes with the feelings and images.  The images themselves may not be giving the message but rather the emotions that go with them.  It is much the same as when talking to a person.  Some times the actual words are meaningless but it is how they are said that is important.   Or with the afore mentioned Centaress when there were no words at all.   Emotion is a very powerfull form of communication.

Man, I hate when that happens.  You type, type, type, and then some thing happens, in this case I droped some thing on the key board, and blam-o you loose it all.

Okay what was I saying.

Signs.

Some are undoubtable, others more elusive, and the same set does not apply to every one.  But there is always a feeling.  You just need to follow your instincts and see what happens.  Eventually you will find out what the keys are for you.  It also depends on the kind of communication.
For me there is just this feeling.  It is hard to describe what the exact feeling is but lets just say its some thing I can not ignore.  Thats how I know some thing is afoot.  I usually have to wait a sec to see what follows it because that is where I gleen my information.  But there is always this precursor.  It just kind grabs my very soul.

Now when you are driving and you get the images.  Have you tried to explore them a little more, through dreams or meditaion? Is there often a higher level of emtional context when you get these images then say when recalling a memory? Do the images feel familiar in ANY way?

That's cool.  The sign of a truely open mind.  It's good that they didn't automatically try and outcast you.  That kind of thing sucks.

Kodemaster,

I am for the most part comfortable talking to any one who listen about my experiences.  But I find few who understand, hence they want little to do with it.  I talk to others in passing about stuff, and very few in great detail.  What I find the most are those that have questions.  Asking the obvious "Is it real?".  I actually found out from one of my co-workers that she has periodic sleep paralisis.  She was rather very bothered by it and thought that there was some thing wrong with her because she has never been able to talk to any one that knows about it.  I was able to give her a quick fix for her problem, the simple wiggle your toes.  A couple of days later she came back and said thanx because it happened again and she was able to get over her fear a little because she had a plan, and it work.
I find many people who have questions but think that they are crazy or that other people will think them so.  But when they do find individuals like us who are willing to talk to them about thier experiences and perhaps even help, give advice, or explain them, they are a little more willing to talk about it.

I guess the big thing for me is that I know almost, if not every one, has had some kind of experience happen that they can not explain.  I talk about these things to try and help those that seek it, even if all I do is tell them they are not alone.

I have not had any luck with targeting certain spirits/entities as of yet.  Most things I come in contact with I seem to draw to me.  I guess I am kinda a magnet.  However the link can work both ways.  If you are openly seeking communication with draw in those that wish to communicate.   Largely you will see commonalities in thought and actions.  A commonly used phrase here, "Like attracts like."  Who you are will determin what you get.  You seem very eager, which will bring the same.  With this the only thing you may have to watch out for is a sudden download of information.  The eager ones often have a lot to say and don't seem to have the control over information flow.  The more you encounter this however the more you can control the flow of information in both directions.
As with us in the astral, time and distance have little meaning.  Although you may be say having a conversation in real time you could very well be speaking to some thing in a different time and place.  I have found it is the same with people.  Connections made are not bound by distance at all, and only mildly by time.
I don't know about the internet thing.  I guess it is possible, I mean any thing is right.  But how would you know you weren't talking to a live person?  I guess I would have to file that with possible until it happens.  In a way it may be some thing like automatic writting, but I would be skepitical.   I really don't have any experiance with written communication.   But from what I have read it seems that for some reason spirites have difficulty with written languages unless it is being done through a medium.  Or a person who either A.  allows a spirite to use parts of thier body for getting the message out, B.  a person who speaks directly and often verbally to spirites for other people.

Anything esle you want to know?

Well the main thing would be to trust your gut.  Emotional context is important.  In my experience the intent is felt before any actions are taken.  Communication is achieved best for most through dreams.  If some thing is trying to connect with and possibly speak to you then will most likely happen first in your dreams.
However it is always safest to go into a situation with your guard up.  As far telling good from bad, again trust your gut.  If the situaion does not feel right for any reason end it.  Or make statments re-inforcing barriers.  Anything that wishes true communication will abide by the rules you lay down.  Any thing wishes to do you harm in any way will test the boundies you put in place.

Remember ultimatly you have the choice of who or what is let in to speak with you.  Anything you wish to end can be done verbally.  You simply tell them to go away.

Well I haven't been doing that much.  I have mostly been spending my energy and spare time with my hypnotherapist or doing things to enhance the sessions.  The last week or so I have been spending time trying to get rebalanced.  I was trying some telekinesis excersizes which kinda got my brain going too much.  So now I have been imagining a large screen or filter going from head to toe and up to try and smooth things out a little so I am more balanced.  It seems to be working.

Other than that it's work, home, sleep, work, home, sleep.

Me personally I don't think any one needs to tell thier kids that there is no santa.

Simple let your kids decide.  Ask them if he exists or not, and more importantly ask them why.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Deja vu's

I have had this happen a lot.  As a result I have come up with a couple of different things to explain it.

I also believe that there are different kinds of the happening.

1.  A simple brain stumble.  What I mean by this is that for some reason or another the information being recieved causes the brain to stop recording and reset.  It then replays the last few secs. of memory to get the body back up to speed as to what is going on.  This would give you the feeling of doing "exactly" the same thing before even though you have never done it.

2.  Pre-cognative.  This being the feeling of doing some thing before but this time you know what the out come will be.

3.  Another form of the pre-cognative.  This I have had happen a few times.  You get about 90% of the informaiton, but there is a missing piece until you get there.  Example.  I was at work with a fellow co-worker doing a project.  The feeling of doing it before kicked in, but it was slightly off.  Every thing was the same except there was sappose to be a 3rd person but I didn't know who it was.  That being until one of the other guys showed up and started helping us.
The odd thing about this one was that it felt like I was recalling a memory from a few months prior.  The thing of it being that the 3rd person to walk into the picture had only been working there a week or so.  So if the memory was that say a month old I did not yet know the 3rd person.  I knew some one was going to be there but did not know who.

4.  Blurred memory.  This being that you have actually done a task or something very similar and your brain can not for some reason tell between the 2 or the act of doing the task again causes the memory from doing it before to surface creating the effect.  This would be a simple case of "time index or filling problems" with in the brain.
I see this as the brain trying to write the new memory over the old memory.  This would be why you can remember doing it before but can not remember any one point of because the privious memory is being written over while you are trying to remember it.

Okay I'll use the "snooze button theory".

The alarm clock goes off.  You hit the snooze button.  You know that you will be late for what ever you needed to get up for but you stay there anyway and hit the snooze button again.

Sure you knew you would be late but you made that choice, no one else did, and it wasn't written in the stars that you would be late.  You could just as easily gotten up.

You just used free will even though you knew the out come.

No matter the situation you still have 2 options, but you still must choose.

I would have to agree with Kenneth and Tom.

I believe it is good to keep an open mind on all topics but to blindly believe some thing with out any knowladge or experience is the way of the sheep.  If you follow every one else you will soon find yourself backed in the corner and shaved naked, cold, confused, and forced to start over.

It is good to think that some thing is possible, but is just that, and anything is possible.  Truth is defined by the individual and because of that some thing that is possible only becomes truth when experienced or known by the individual.  Some one else can not tell you what is true, false, right, or wrong, in the end only the individual can make that choice.  Some one else can only show you a path, you have to walk it.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Meditating on.....
November 22, 2002, 04:33:34
Meditating on any subject is basically just setting aside time for the sole purpose of thinking aout that one thing.  You set aside the time to just sit with a calm mind, no distractions, and think.  Spending the time doing this may or may not bring some important information or feelings to the surface.  For some its kinda like day dreaming.  Try to think about what each choice would bring you and wether it would make you happy, or better yet if it feels like the correct thing to do.
More so it is taking the time to be aware of how each choice and solution make you feel.  Allowing you to make a more prosperous choice, and giving you a chance to listen to that inner voice.

Just on a side note I feel the need to spit this out.

Being a Libra I almost always see all sides of an argument.  And for the most part I see an argument growing here, although so far aside from 2 comments, has atleast been gentlemanly (sp?).  I am not a Christian, I don't know what catagory I fall into, should one feel the need to catagorize.  And yes honestly I get annoyed when I hear too much religious rambling wether its on tv, the radio, or the internet.  And some times I like to start up with what I lable "fanatics", people all into any religion they know very little about.
But PeacefulWarrior is not one of these people.  Yes he is deeply involved in his religion but he knows a considerable amount about it, or at least it seems that way to me.  I also do not think that this topic was created to argue the existance of god, or the amount you read about the topic, but rather posted for the benifite of other like minded individuals.  So why can it not be left at that.

I thought that link was kinda cool.  It is interesting.  I like the fact that he really didn't write it to say that there is or is not a god but to just get you to think about it.  To question the posabilities.  It seems he has done just that.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / perfection
November 12, 2002, 08:54:33
Perfect.  Some thing that connot be improved, modified, or in any other way be made better than it is.

Artists, for the most part,  consider a circle to be perfect.  ANY deviation from it's design and it is no longer a circle.  It either is or it isn't.

It is rumored that befor painting the Sisteen Chapel, Michelangelo was asked to prove his worth as an artist.  He, with out any hesitation, free-handed a simple circle on a piece of paper.  It was perfect in every way.

Some are here on earth to experience, some to learn, and others to teach.  And then just naturally some have more to say than others.

I think there is some kind of heredity at work with this.  I mean you can't really deny that there are some people who just seem born to do this kind of stuff.  I know in my own family, my mothers side seems to be more pron to entity interactions and the occasional spantaneous OB.  My mother and aunt call it "flying" and have never really made the connection.  The only other thing that I have noticed with my family is that I seem to be the only male so afflicted, the result seeming to be that it is much stronger in me also.
But don't get me wrong I believe that it is with in every one to OBE and/or open themselves up in a way to allow for more psychic type phenomanon.  I know in me personally it has just gotten stronger since I started openly started to work on expanding those abilities and attempting OBE's.
It seems natural to me that once a person starts accepting that there is more out there than what is normally seem than things will start to happen.  It is just like learning anything else.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Found a nice tool

The only fun I have been able to have with such a device was with a heart monitor the last time I went through the emergency room.  I managed to drop my heart rate down to below fifty, which is when it got funny.  I was at work so I know the people there.
But I was sitting up in the bed, fully awake, and alert.  As in my eyes were open, this being had they been shut when I did this there could have been other problems with the staff.  But I just sat there and thought mellow thoughts and tried to relax.  The monitor was in view and I noticed that the more relaxed I was the slower the heart rate.  So I went full tilt.  I managed to keep the lower heart rate long enough for the monitor to go into alarm.  The funny thing being that as soon as that happened about 4 or 5 heads would pop up from behind the nurses station to see what was going on.  And there I would be sitting in the bed, apparently looking normal.  I was able to do it about 5 different times in the 2 hours I was in there.  It was fun.  But I was unable to take full use of the machine I was hooked up to.
It's kinda funny to be sitting there twiddling my thumbs while the heart monitor was saying I was going into heart failure.  I know they weren't sure what to think of it because most people don't whistle while having a heart attack.

"i think the most interesting one raised here is the is science progressive or destructive. "

As with all things you can not have one with out the other.  Atomic power which gave birth to the Atom Bomb and the Nuclear Power Plant.  One a weapon of mass destruction and the other a form of cheap clean energy with limited depletion of natural resources.  The automobile which has allowed us to expand our who world, we can go further, faster, but we create things like smog and acid rain by doing so.
Even in resposible hands technology is dangerous.  Science does, has, and will continue to bring the human race closer to thier dreams.  The good ones and the bad ones.

Balance in all things.

Okay, my brain hurts after reading that post.

"Furthermore, because each PAST life experience was felt as exactly that

So does that mean you never had a doubt about wether it was a past life or current life memory?

What about physical pain?  Have you experienced any physical pain when re-calling past life moments?

Yep I have used that phrase several times.  The "walking" on the grave not the "tinkling" on it.  Usually reffered to when you get the chills for no reason.  Like its 115 degF (40 degC) outside and you get the chills.  The feeling of impending doom.  A presence.  ect, ect.  Another way to some what laugh off an odd experience, or one that strikes to close to home.

I think seeing some one get ticked on like that is funny.  Its just as funny as whatching a friend puke down the side of your car, or in it, or even better on another friend.

It's not god it's Midicaloreans.  And I am guessing on the spelling.  And as described in TPM they are a microscopic organism.  In which case our concept of god is wrong.  That being he is just really huge and everwhere, but no he is just really small and hard to find.

And it takes place in the past, just not our past.  Or our future.  If you want to look at it another way.  The Aliens already went through all that and now they are bothering us.  I guess after all that fun there wouldn't be much else to do.

And just on a side note fred, "special" is just one of those words used to be nice.
