"I would like to challenge the perception that feelings and experiences indicate the existence of a God_Goddess .If this offends anyone I offer my apologies in advance ,"sorry mate but this is how I see it.".
Firstly feelings can be influenced by different factors ,the physical body produces endorphins and hormones ,while childhood events drive our moods If we look at the feelings that do not eventuate from us, they are open to personal interpretation
In fact all feeling and experances pass threw the filter of our perception.
Experiences can also be driven and interpreted by how we think, apparently at death we are met by whom we expect ,Jesus , Buddha or maybe a angel, this could also apply to visions etc..Voices (sorry I have to say this folks ) could be schizophrenia ,then maybe its your small inner voice , guides or the wind ."

It is all very true and very possible.  But experiences like these and many others help us to decide what is real and what is not.  There is no other way to live.  You know that the chair you are in is real because you can feel it, see it, touch it, and probably in some bad experiences smell it.  But on the same note you believe that emotions are real, anger, saddness, love.  You can not touch them, see them, smell them, you can only feel them.
It is not that one person experiences some thing and it is true for everyone.  But the experience makes it true for them.

And in the end that is all that matters.
---------
Michael Ghostwolf,

And interesting idea.  Could it be that "they" are doing it for our own benifit?  If you look at it that way it could be that they see the destruction of the species nearing and wish to save a few.........Every one onto the ark.  An interesting spin.

I will agree at times keeping a written record of activity is annoying but I try to do it any how.  However now adays I tend to only write down the ones I think I will forget.  Those often being the ones that turn up confusing.  I also write down the ones with high emotional impact because they often feel more important and I want to be able to recall what I was feeling at the time.  But since I dream so infrequently I do not find it all that difficult to remember my dreams.  The only time I don't remember them is when I just wake up with the feeling of dreams but no memory of the event.

I only wish I could remember haveing a dozen or so dreams in one night.  The big problem I have is that I go to sleep and the just wake up.  Several hours have passed but it only feels like five minutes and my mind is totally blank.  There is simply nothing, no memory, no emotional over lap, nothing.

I don't dream of work, at least I don't remember them http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>.  I have only done it a couple of times but at that point I was highly stressed out and I knew it.  As far as anything else that is preventing me from remembering I don't know.  To me it does not feel as if I should be hideing or protecting myself from anything.  No major worries or fears that I can think of.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / telepathy and Empathy?
October 12, 2002, 04:47:47
I have and do experiance both.

Telepathy is interesting.  It was stated earlier that with telepathy it is some what like an internal dialog.  This is not always the case.  That some what requires a high degree of controll by all involved.  However since the average Joe does not have the controll or is not thinking of it the results can be largely speratic.  I experienced one full mind link, in which thoughts in the form of words were being passed back and forth.  But the large majority of what I have come accross is better describe as a surface link.  This being were you pick up on thoughts, words, and images that are current in the other person.  This kind of interaction is along the lines of finishing a persons sentances or knowing what they are talking about with the least possible verbal information an so on.
Empathy is an entirly different animal.  It is often just pure emotion.  You can get emotional content with Telepathy as well but with Empathy it is stronger, much stronger.  This being largely due because you do not so much feel it coming "from" some one else.  But rather you feel thier emotions as if they were your own.  The connection that is formed is often one direction only, however it is possible to change the direction and the emtion with it but it can be difficult because you can get caught up in the other persons emtions causing it to be difficult to assertain you emtions and thiers.  Typically there is a trasmitter and a reciever.  The vast majority of empaths are receivers but you can just the same trasmit your emtions, which is often the case with healers and such.  To purposely transmit your emtions takes more control.  You may notice at times people who can willingly change the mood of a room.  This kind of action is basically forcing every one to become a receiver.

That depends entirely on the individual.  If you are having trouble remembering try writing them down 5-10 mins after you wake.

However most peoples memory gets hazzier with the more time that passes.  Its normal.  But you can work on memory retention to increase the amount of time until eventually you can recount almost every thing you do.

Tom,
No there has not yet been any physical evidence left behind.

Ralphm,
No they have not as of yet caused any damage except for the occasional scaring me.  But on a positive not I have been cleaning my room more to get every thing into a place so it's nice and neat.  More importantly the cleaning is serving as a rodent confirmation check.
Oh and if that was a joke I didn't get it because I have never seen the movie, other than that I don't think they are my power animal.

Wouldn't the simple thought of doing a reality check and knowing that you are thinking about doing one be enough to create the lucidity or awareness?  Simply put, active thought = consious awareness.

It has struck me that the need for a reality check is largly un-needed if you are "thinking" of doing one.  The thought itself would be the reality check.  The line of thinking would suggest that the effect of said desired reality check would vary on the amount of control.  Granted the effect of the hands actually melting would be helped by the pre-programmed idea that they "should".  The actual hand check may help you better grasp the situation but I feel it is largely un-needed.

I think a better guage of control or lucidity would be to try some thing you haven't done yet.  The melting hands is really just a confirmation anyhow.  I think a better test would be to think of having six fingers on one hand and then counting them.  An original thought would be better because there would be no this "should" happen and you then waste time when it doesn't.  Instead there should be the thought that this "will" happen and after picking up the hamburger at you feet taking a bite a screaming that it tastes like chicken you can continue on your marry way.

Or do I have a slightly abnormal thought process?

I would just like to take a moment and thank all of you who shared your thoughts on this subject.

I must say you all handled yourselves very well given the sensativity of the subject.

My main goal was to see why people in general subscribe to ordered religion, and the god/creator aspect most teach.  I guess that it all boils down to the very same reasons that I am a non-believer.

Feeling and experiance.  Oddly enough those to things are the common ground for believers and non-believers alike.  Some thing inside tells us what is what.

And in the end......we are all the same.

If you have a regular doctor that your parents take you to I would visit them first.   It "should" be covered be any insurance your parents have.

There is also a thing called "Doctor Patient Confidentiality".  If you go in there on the notion that you want no one else knowing about it just yet to include your parents the Doctor is obligated by law not to share that information.  If I am correct this law also applies to minors, however your parents may need to okay the visit.

You could always tell them that you just aren't feeling good and would like to talk to a doctor about it.

Okay well I agree that GTA 3 has no "educational" value at all.  But it's really fun.  And if you read the packaging it is intended for mature users.  50% of the gaming industry is not makeing games for kids.  They are making games for adults.

One of the things I like the most about gaming is the idea that you can do what ever you want to.  You can do all the things you can't do in real life.  And my personal opinion is that it is no different than getting into a really good book.

It is NOT the game or the programmers fault for the way a game is taken by a person.  The idea that "oh he shot that guy because he saw it in a game or movie"  is flawed.  Things like that happen because a person does not know right from wrong.  Because thier parents didn't teach them, they most likely would have done it any way.

Games and just that, GAMES.  And movies are movies.  It's called entertainment.  Not to be taken seriously.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Confirmation Advice
September 06, 2002, 04:43:54
I have no religious devotions what so ever.  I don't plan to either.  However my family was raised Roman Catholic.  When the time came for me to be confirmed I simple said that I did not want to.  It came as a shock but I told them my reasons.  My parents still love me.

I don't feel a person should ever be forced to lie, about anything.  More so about thier religious convictions.  I feel if the topic is addressed as an adult, with logic and reason, then those that love you should be able to realize your point.  Even if they don't agree with it.

I personally felt better when I told my mother that I was not a believer.

But ultimatly you know you family beeter than we do and there is always an obligation ensure thier happiness, even some times when it may involve personal sacrafices.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Faith??
September 05, 2002, 07:49:54
I believe that faith plays a big role.

Fallnangle77,

I ask you this.  You have OBE's right or have had one?  You believe that they exist?  Now.....prove it.

You believe in something that you can not prove, you have faith that they exist.

I do not mean to single you out but you made a good example.

Faith = believing in something you can not prove, is not a bad thing, provided you can feel that it is right.  But believing in some thing that you can not prove, have never seen, and more importantly have never felt is simply wrong.

Me personally, I don't believe in a God, Divine Light, or Creator, but I have Faith.  I have faith that MY journey, my path, my experiances are true and correct.  I can not prove that any of it exists at all, but I feel it is right and true.

That is one of the things that I find funny about the world.  There is a large group of people who think that it is the game or movie industries fault for putting out the hings that they do.  That "they" are teaching the kids of the world violance and intolerance.  I however do not see this as the problem.

Saddly I see the problem being more on the parents side.  They leave thier kids to be brought up in this manner instead of doing thier job and regulating and teaching thier children about what they see.  This is the parents responsablity to guide thier children, to teach them right from wrong, to help them gain understanding and wisdom.  This should not and can not be left to the whole of sociaty to do this for us.

If we do not make sure our children grow to be strong, intelligent, wise, understanding, and honorable then we as parents have failed.  Not sociaty.

In some of the dreams that I have been having recently I keep getting the feeling that I have been in those locations or had those dreams before.  There is a kind of strange familiar feeling to them.  I don't know what it is exactly but it kinda like a dream Deja Vou.

I can think of only one word to describe how I am when it comes to video games.  ADDICTED!!!

I love to play games.  And I actually look at them as some what of a means of personal growth.  I know, I know, how can I say that when a vast majority of people spend countless hours just killing things and pillaging the country side.  However I tend to look at things slightly different.

Games in general tend to make a person re-think thier way of thinking.  He who has the larger gun and the faster reflexes does not always win.  Sadly a good majority of the games out there promote this point of view.  however the are a good number of games that require wits to play.  These games can teach a person a lot.  But there is one thing that no matter what kind of game you play that can be learned.  Ploblem solving.  No matter the game you always hit spots where no matter what you do you can not progress any further.  And because of that you are forced to look at the situation and figure out what you are doing wrong and develope a way around it.

I personally think that you can also learn a great deal more from games as well.  Want to learn economics? Play one of the Civilization games.  Want to learn about resource management?  Play Age of Empires or Command and Conquer.   Want to learn about the human condition?  Play The Sims.  Want a total revamp of your view on the 1st person shooter?  Play Thief.  I could go on for a long time.

Not to mention the amount of hand/eye work, basic and complex mathmatics, statistical averages, diplomacy, inter-personal reactions, and basic chaos theory that can be learned through the right games.

Powder,

It's not that I think that projection is bad, actually I was working towards consious project for about a year.  However my recent trip to the hypnotherapist revealed that my mind splits too easily.  I do so without knowing.  In fact I projected while under hypnosis.  The way I figure it is that the only way I am going to be able to establish control is stop for a while or at the very least slow it down some.

Tisha,

Did you ever have any problems with over sleep because of them?  Do they allow for "normal" sleep activity, dreams and such?  Or does it kinda turn off everything?  Did you find it problematic to work them into your schedual, since I know they usually require a certain amount of hours before doing certain activities when you wake up?

I know that this topic has become some what of a taboo but I can not prevent the thought any more.

Due more so to recent information gathered it seems that there is a singular person behind this entity.  I had believed his to be possible before and my session with the hypnotherapist has pushed the point further.  And the more information I gather the more it begins to ring true.

It has become highly possible that I am the reason for this.  There is one of two things happening.  Either I am the actually doing this or there is some thing using me to do ths.  How ever my personal feelings in this matter are pushing towards it being me.  However the problems comes with that there is no recolection of any of the events.

I see as the only way to possably prevent this from happening is to retain some memory of the event.  So I ask those that may see this thing in the furture to try and do something that would trigger a memory to the physical world.  I ask this so that control may be gained over it and its apperance be prevented for those who wish to no longer see it.

But please for those who are willing try this and help I do not wish you to put yourselves in any undue risk.  Due this onlyif you can maintain control over the situation.  I say this because there is however the possability of a calculated error, in which case I am way off the mark.  However I feel this to be true and correct.

I thank in advance any effort made for the sake of a single perosn.

I received a mix from my hypnotherapist.  They are not a perfum.  It is an oral "medicine" for the energy body.  At least that is what she said.  They are sapposed to help balance out you energy body and help with various other problems.  There are sappose to be various minerals in the extracts that help tune your energy body, lesson dependancies, and a slew of other aplications.  The mix she gave me is as follows.

Connecting With Purpose
Being and Doing
Honoring Bounderies
Harmonizing
Deposession

The only one that puzzled her was the Being and Doing which is sapposed to help rectify dependancies.  But it is odd how they are picked.  The person making the mix for you has you hold out your arm and then hands you several different bottles.  Each time you are to say "There is something in this that I need."  and then the person making the mix pushes down on your arm to determin the yes or no answer.  I was kinda wierded out by it.

I don't know what to think of it but I am going to give it a shot any how.  It did not cost me any extra so why not?

I do plan on seeing this through to help resolve these issues and get some of my questions answered.  In fact I have another appointment on this coming Monday.

One of the reasons I picked this particular therapist is because she mentioned in her bio about dealing with different energies and various this of a spiritual nature.  I figured this better than going to some one who was more "clinical" or viewing things from a pure science stand point.

My brain still hurts though.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Singiing
August 25, 2002, 20:54:10
To me the equation seems rather simple.  We are at or bases emotional beings.  Music is an expression of those emtions and as such cause an emtional responce when we listen to or make music.  It is not only the sounds that are produced but the feelings that go with them that cause our bodies to respond so.  Even the most off key individual can and does feel the same effects when singing.

Our emotions and energy are very close to each other, they are effected by each other.  Some emotional difficulties can be overcome with the proper use of energy just as some energy problems can be over come with the proper emotion outlet or control.  I do not believe one can not sing with out feeling the emotions that go with it and often people sing because of the emotions that go with them.

Music itself is a powerful tool.  We use music to express what is inside.  It is used to wrap ourselves in joy, and to heal the wounds that no one can see.  We also use it to gets excited, motivated, and to mellow us out.  The emotional responce we get from music helps our energies flow to were they are needed.

Music is not generated by fingers, hands, or vocal cords, but rather it is generated by the soul.  Every one does it wether they hum, wistle, sing, or play bag-pipes.
