G'day!

No, I only give a greatly simplified banishment and LBRP version, which is more suitable for those who do not have an occult background.
You could say that this is banishment and LBRP for beginners.

Keep in mind that PPSD's theme is to help ordinary people, so the bits of magick given must be ultra simple, or people either won't use it or won't be able to.  The bulk of PPSD's advice involves simple and practical methods of defense that anyone can use, regardless of background.

In PPSD, I refer to Kraig's book, Modern Magick, for the full version, re its beyond the scope of PPSD.  There is also a half decent online version. The link was posted on the forums recently.

After a while pretty much all has been said and done.. and written.

I like/respect Buhlman always have, he was published (book) before RB so I have followed him for quite some time.. prior to RB/AD.

i.e. RB uses the words skins, Buhlman uses the word membranes.

Now with my OOB experiences before ever even hearing of Buhlman I used the same descriptive. (membranes).

Now I know for certain Buhlman did not "copy" me, I had only mentioned the word to a very few close friends in the past many years.

In the beginning of ch10 (Secret of the Soul) Buhlman writes.. " This chapter will introduce you to the wide variety of currently practiced methods for initiating OOB exploration."

Personally I like rocking and roll out, that's how I used to execute the/all OOBEs when I was 4-5-6-7-8- years old (1958-9 etc) .. now did Bob Monroe/RB/Buhlman "copy me" with later reference/writings to this..

just common OOB phenomena they beg common descriptive.

Now I like an etheric swing and sway or whirlpool

The sharp pains you felt were probably some kind of neg interference.  This is the most common area to be affected. You responded well, as body awareness actions are the correct countermeasure.  You could also do a small banishment over your foot, signing the banishment pentagram and banishing with Godnames. This is very effective.  But I would not worry about this. It is just something that happens occasionally. This kind of thing is mainly caused by small energy feeding astral wildlife.

As for the mark on your brow, yes, I've had this appear on my brow from time to time.  It may be indicative of your brow centre activating or coming out of dormancy, etc.
