I would like to think I have a natural ability for this because it really doesn't seem that hard and I can get pretty close without following a formal technique, but I always have these problems that I will now list.

- For some reason I generate an excessive amount of saliva in my mouth and it always seems to bother me and I have to swallow only to notice right after I do that it produces more.

- I usually (almost always) feel what I think is sinuses on the back of my throa and I usually try to gulp it down because it is hard to ignore, but just like my above problem it doesn't take long to come back, sometimes it withholds for a little bit though  :-P.

Not that long of a list but these always tend to bother me greatly, can someone please help.

Also, this is not a problem but more of just a question for informational purpose. When ever I try to project and I get to a certain point where I no longer feel my body, maybe some slight buzzing or tingling, it feels like someone is holding my hand. Is someone other than myself trying to guide me through?

You should try turning your head slightly to the left or right, that should help with the saliva problem. Or maybe you're hungry? :)

I've experienced assistance in leaving the body, but in my experience it was more violent/impatient than a gentle guiding hand. You should try calling out (mentally) for a stronger tug and see if it changes anything. It sounds like you're pretty close anyhow.

Well... I'm pretty much hungry 24/7, it's not like I'm super fat or anything because I usually work out every other day, I do 8 set workouts now as a standard :D  (not important though lol) I think my metabolism is super high, not only that but I continuously am gaining more strength and muscle so my metabolism should only continue to increase. I don't think that is why because I usually try to eat like 2 packs of ramen (and sometimes cheezits  :-D) an hour before my daily meditation, energy body exercises, and then my projection.

Sometimes I stop my projection early because I know I am taking too much time and should go to bed, because I do this before bed. Lately I have been leaving myself with more and more time to do all of my spiritual stuff as I am not as caught up in video games as I use to be. I'm pretty sure if I gave myself at least an hour and a half and did everything right I would guarantee myself a projection, but I might have to wait a few days for that opportunity because I have movie night tonight with my family and I have to get up earlier on Monday than I usually do. But I might just stay up late because I have gotten to a point in my meditation where I seem to have more control over my body, I seem to be able to sleep whenever I want (I still try to get 8 hours of sleep, I am not a slacker lol).

I just got a box of gemstones earlier today that I believe will help but I think I'll post a topic on that in another forum unless it belongs here.

Sorry for long post but I am a writer at heart :P (that and I think the more information might allow you and others to help me with my problem more efficiently, my fear is that if there is more to read people will be less interested in helping because they don't want to read that much).

Edit: (Forgot to talk about the other being) If they are there next time I project I will attempt to communicate with them about helping me with my phase but I think they were already trying to communicate with me that night. I think they told me that they would try to get me to become aware in my dream in attempt to project from my dream, which I think they did help me but I just didn't catch the signs until I reviewed over my dream later in the day. I bought incense in my dream and the description said something like, "Effects: Increased Awareness" but two things, I didn't catch the sign AND I never ended up smoking it so lmao I need to think over things in my dreams lol.

All sorts of weird stuff happens in the phasing process. From talking to many people, it seems to be a personal quick kinda thing. I have heard plausible explanations ranging from the scientific to the subjective. In the end it really comes down to how YOU want to interpret it. You are the only one who gets to make that decision after all.

Hi Darklon out of intrest do you have excess saliva a lot or just while meditating/sleeping, eating ice pops or putting snacks in the fridge to cool them can help slow the production down.

 Ignore it, I have the saliva issue myself. I just swallow when I need to. Last night I actually had a sneezing fir right in the middle of a Phase. I handled it and 30 seconds later I was back in the Phase. It's all a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it won't matter!  :-)

I guess I have it a lot but I notice it the most when I am trying to meditate or project. I'll try the cold snack thing.

and Lionheart, I do try to put up with it but is just so hard to resist swallowing and whenever I breathe in I can feel the sinuses it's just too much.

 Darklon, by ignoring I mean, just swallow, breathe, whatever it is you have to do. With practice it will become so natural you won't even notice it. You will find that it is no longer an interruption to your process. Things only interrupt you if you let them. The room that I Phase in at night time has 2 Chinchillas in a cage. Chinchillas are nocturnal, so they make their noise at night time. They have a huge wheel that they run on in the cage and it can get pretty loud when they are at full gape. I have learned to ignore any sounds, sensations, etc. and just keep the Phase strong. But, it took a lot of practice to get to that point.

Thanks guys, I will try to ignore my physical senses for now. But I don't understand why we have to put our bodies to sleep to project, why can't we just leave them?

That's just it.  You DON'T have to put your body to sleep.  It takes a bit more meditative practice/training, but you can just "ignore" your physical sensory input and project that way too.  That's the meditative method to projecting, and is what I consider to be the holy grail of projection:  being able to projection anytime, anywhere via meditation.  :)
