How do your parents feel about AP?

My parents think its bovine excrement. My sister and brother think that its insane and unhealthy and that its gonna get me into the insane asylum.

My brother in particular is a really closed minded person and hates the idea of anything new. So its common sense he wouldnt accept it. Also Hes the type that no matter how much logic and common sense goes into something he always thinks hes right.

Thats how my family feels about AP  

People are willing to believe in spirits and the bible only because they have been programmed to do so. But as soon as the concept of us actually having a spirit and being able to control it, they think its crazy. They say its only through the power of god that people in the bible were able to see angels and stuff. If u throw at them the fact of the holy trinity and how god, jesus, holy Spirit is all part of god they wont hear it. The holy spirit is part of god according to christians but people cant see that. Jesus said, if you believe you can walk on water, then you can. He was right. Through the spirit anything is possible.

I would really like to put together a references from the bible scriptures that talk about dreams. You are right about how people perceive and make quick judgment on what they don't know or understand as evil and against Gods will.

My folks do know that I project and support me either way, but doesn't mean they understand or show interest. My brother has projected in the past and has had incredible experiences. The two sisters of mine have not projected, but the one tells me at times she has felt that it might have happened.

I think the best thing you can do is if this interests you and other people are against it - being a loved one, family member, or mom/dad. Sit down, discuss this - how it all relates to the bible, serving God, how it has changed you from negative to positive and how you are becoming a better person.

My dad doesn't really care, and my mom believes in it, to say the least. She's never done it herself, but she knows it exists and stuff.

the biggest question is this! - if people know that it exists - then wouldn't you think it would be a passionate drive to explore and prepare yourself for the afterlife?

I know exactly what you're saying here. When I first learned about OBE's I was immediately like "I HAVE to figure out how to do this".  But it seems like that drive has to be born in a person. Many people know the benefits of meditating, yet don't take the time to do it. You have to really want to.

Another reason why someone might not even attempt is because they immediately think it's something the can't do. They don't want to fail, so they don't try. You can't blame them - it is hard! At least for me it is.

I can relate to failing.... but its our wits that drive us to success!!  I myself do not meditate.. do I have interest in it - yes, but not driven to succeed. I so know how this can help me in the long run but I ignore it.. guess the same goes with the astral projection how people percieve it.
