Hello everyone,

I was reading up on lucid dreaming, and came across this plant called Calea zacatechichi that Native Americans have been using for centuries to increase dreaming knowledge? I just thought that this was interesting, and if anyone has an experience with this plant? I guess, it only works when you sleep, and really has no effect when your awake, and increases lucid dreaming? Does anyone want to clear this up, or have any information about it? I just thought it would be an interesting thing to bring up? And if it did work, and it made you more lucid, is it possible to think of your body while your in the lucid state, and project from there?
Thanks!

Happy traveling,

Tony

It's apparently a hallucinogen.

A user remarks:

QuoteBetween May and August of this summer I smoked Calea on average about twice a week. The dosage was one joint, which I usually didn't finish. The first thing I would notice was that it instantly relaxed me, which was the main reason I used it. There is also a slight loss in your sense of touch. As far as dreams are concerned, there was a definite increase in dream recall. I would say I remebered at least one dream 80% of the times I smoked Calea. Without smoking, I usually remember dreams about once a week. It did increase the frequency of lucid dreams, but I would say I had less than 10 lucid dreams during the summer. On average I am lucid about once every couple of months without Calea.

check this out for all your info that its pretty much needed. http://www.erowid.org/plants/calea_zacatechichi/calea_zacatechichi.shtml

its a very mild drug that taste really bitter,  one has to be willing to achieve or ready to explore the dream state before use and understand how dream state works  before taking it.
