I would be a most definate "yes".I've known for awhile-& it is difficult sometimes, & there isn't anyone I can talk to about it right now.

Sounds interesting.  :-) Do you remember any snippets of the conversations?

It's usually really hard to translate into language, but I do remember having a long, long conversation w/what seemed to be a higher astral being. All I remember (& I'll never forget) is "...when you look at it in that light, god is miracles".This was a rare occurence of a conversation in english.I feel it had something to do w/the true reality of a higher power, versus the distorted human perception of such a being, possibly. It was very very hard to understand in human terms-it always is, but this was a rare case of it all being in english.

I wish I could remember the rest of it. :|

Every time I fall asleep or begin to awake I have non-dream lucid conversations w/someone in the astral stateIt's like I'm partially physically aware of it happening. It seems to involve another part of the self, & the topics involve the coming days events, or overall life experiences. The languages we converse in is highly symbolic & nearly impossible to translate into regular english.

It's very hard to "convert" it into normal language, as it is very very deep, & just as fleeting.I catch glimpses of it sometimes in the borderline state.

It happens every single time I fall asleep or awake. This is the closest I can come to your experience.
#4
Ok first of all I awoke in the borderline state, I saw & heard all kinds of strange things. It was very busy & noisy.I decided to try the Merkaba meditation, in this "enhanced awareness" state. The structure was incredibly vivid (& very unstable) around me.It was purple(not by my concious design.Although it happens to be that purple is a very "high vibration" colour). It was humming & creating overtones.I lost concentration & it collapsed & shattered like glass.

I fell asleep, & dreamed that I died- There were spirits guiding me to the afterlife. There were light spirits & dark spirits, & they each had a name.Which was kept a secret. The dark spirits were my guides-they were blackened skeletons, & had black torn rags for clothing. Despite this, however they weren't evil, just a dualistic aspect of the same force.

Later in the dream I learned the secret name of the dark spirits- "Tor" (a word I'd never heard of before this, so I did some research- the word is from European mythology.A "tor" is an ancient holy place-a mound w/a tower or temple on the top that was/is considered to be a link between the physical & unseen dimensions (!) & there are spirits associated w/the Tor-especially Glastonbury tor.I suspect that the dark spirits represent aspects of ancient paganism, while light spirits represent modern christianity. The Tor spirits led my straight down into the earth, into a long tunnel, past darkened stone & wooden architecture. They then led me into a doorway, & then into a kind of "waiting room".

The Tor left me. It was quite dark, & very busy in another room somewhere in the darkness, although I was utterly alone at the moment. My life experience was put into a small container, which later turned into a book- a story of the life just passed. This book was stacked onto of & near the stories of lost friends & family, which together created a type of "mega-story" of existance.I was able to look upon the life just past without judgement or regret- I just "let go". Today, for the first time, I feel that I could just "let go" of this life- not commit suicide, but start fresh if I had to.I feel my time in this life is very limited & very rare & precious now.

About the Tor, & spirits associated w/it:

Legend again has it that fragments of the original prehistoric stones were also used to hallow the foundations of the nearby abbey. The Fairy king, Gwynn ap Nudd, Lord of Annwn and sometime leader of the Wild Hunt, a cosmic manifestation that is universal throughout European mythology, was a localised Tor spirit. He was said to have a palace on the summit from where he rode out with magic dogs and spectral warriors on his regular collection of souls. Obviously a daunting spectacle to those not attuned to cosmic consciousness.

XIII DEATH GWYN AP NUDD

The Faery-folk encompassed a wide variety o beings of all shapes and sizes, from the small elves and gnomes, to the tall, dark beings that were associated with Gwyn Ap Nudd - King of the Faeries and Lord of the Underworld. The could be kind and benevolent, mischievous, and some were downright malevolent. Certainly they were untrustworthy and were viewed by the populace with a degree of fear and suspicion, though mortals went to great lengths to propitiate them.

The faeries made their homes in hollow hills, and lived outside of mortal time. Mortals straying to, or invited into their domain could remain there for years, thinking only days had passed. It was unwise to partake of the food or drink of the Faeries, as this could make you their prisoner - a fact St, Collen was well aware of when Gwyn Ap Nudd invited him to a feast. (See card IX, the Hermit).

Gwyn Ap Nudd lived with his subjects in the hollow hill of Glastonbury Tor. He was considered to be diabolic by the early Christians, who viewed the Pagan and faery ways as demonic. One legend says that the maze or labyrinth on Glastonbury Tor was a faery path. The first Christian church built on top of the Tor, dedicated to St. Michael, collapsed in 1275 - apparently due to an earthquake, but more widely believed to have been caused by the influence of Gwyn and his subjects.

Card VI, the Lovers, relates to the tale of Gwyn Ap Nudd's abduction of Creiddylad; and card IX, the Hermit, describes how St,. Collen banished Gwyn from the top of the Tor. The influence of the King of the Faeries is still felt in Glastonbury, but Gwyn Ap Nudd also had another title - Lord of the Underworld. In this guise he rode on his pale horse through the skies at Winter Solstice to gather in the souls of the dead, accompanied by the hounds of Anwyn, white dogs with red ears. He then took the souls back to the Underworld to prepare them for the next stage of their journey.

THE IMAGE

Gwyn Ap Nudd rides across the sky to gather in the souls of the dead. Under the light of the moon and stars, his skin and black hair have a blue sheen. The sky below him swirls with energy, in shades of blue and purple. Far below is Glastonbury Tor, distinguishable by its labyrinth, which glows white in the light of the moon and the starts. His horse looks fierce. Its eyes glow red, its teeth are bared, as it propels itself through the sky. Gwyn uses no reins or saddle - he clings to the horse's neck, reveling in the chase.
Purple is sometimes associated with death, as it represents a change to a new, and higher state of consciousness.

Gwyn Ap Nudd's black cloak flies behind him, as if it would spread out to darken the entire sky. Black is the symbol of the void, the state of emptiness wherein lies the seeds of potential waiting to take form.

DIVINATORY MEANING

The Death card signifies an ending that leads to a new beginning. It indicates a time to let go of the past. It can denote the ending of a phase of life, a job or a relationship because the situation has run its course; all that can be learned from it has been integrated, and it is time to move on, to seek new areas of experience in the arena of life. This card does not indicate physical death; its influence paves the way for a fresh beginning in your life, and shows that letting go of attachments can be painful, but ultimately rewarding.

The lesson the the Hanged Man card is surrender, of undergoing a transition period when there is a need to wait for events to run their course. The Death card moves us on into action; it encourages us to push for change, to put behind us all of the factors that held us back, to sever connections that are no longer helpful to us and do not support us. In order to do this, we need to recognize any fears of change that can hinder us from moving into a new beginning.

The Death card is the card of cleansing, allowing us to experience the transformation of our circumstances just as the caterpillar that willingly, even joyfully, becomes a butterfly.

Quote(Tayesin)You're doing well, maybe you might like to try sitting and meditating with the memory/feeling of what it was like for you to be there. Remembering the feeling is like dialing a phone number, it hooks you back up again.
I haven't tried that, but I can feel the possibilities in this approach.I'll try that. :-D
I haven't really pinpointed what happens w/the warping thing, but it sounds right.I can feel how that could happen.Possibly a pulling feeling on the solar plexus?  It is really interesting about how astral sight works-it's far more variable & "adjustable" than physical sight. That's how I noticed the distant nebula or star cluster. Many yrs ago I managed a concious projection to our sun.I managed to adjust my sight & filter out the overly bright aspects of its light. It allowed me to see it's incredible & violent surface features.I wasn't really really close, but close enough to see.

Quote(Greytraveller) One problem with space travel is that it gets almost impossible to navigate once Earth/Sol is lost as a reference. For that reason it would appear that the best way to space travel is to concentrate on a specific target destination, like the Moon or Mars, and then try to teleport/travel instantly to that location.
Also the time it takes to travel through space even at faster than light speeds pretty much precludes going through space in a "Star Trek"-like manner.

True-The only way I've found to be successful in space travel is to know the exact point of light you are aiming for. It's best done from or near earth-once you get furthur away, the star charts don't work anymore. If I get do this more reliably & conciously, I plan on exploring mars-especially its undergound regions. There's a pic floating around the internet of a massive sinkhole on Mars, photographed by a probe. You can see some interior parts in shadow, & it goes down so far that it dissapears into blackness. If you figure in the fact that water has existed there, you can guarantee that there's a substantial cave system on Mars.It would also be the most likely place for surviving life forms to flourish.

Quote(Tayesin)I find the time taken to get anywhere is fairly minimal, a couple of seconds to closer places, and a few more for destinations further afield. When I found the  membranous bubble-skin boundary of our universe a few years ago it had only taken what felt like 5 to 10 seconds to arrive once the Intention had been set.

I wonder about the Star Trek warp factor thing, especially after seeing NASA's 3D map of the "Super Highways in deep space" that was shown on a recent crop circle DVD (Unsigned Circles 2006?). The same design was found in a field in England and when NASA saw the pics they provided the map to the researchers. The theory is once you get into the flow of these paths/patterns you will travel at extreme speeds, much like the fast ocean currents illustrated in "Finding Nemo".

The Membrane bubble skin thing-really interesting! I'd like to know how to find that!

The Superhighways of deep space is an idea worth looking into.If one were to get to know where these were, & then project there...

I fell asleep while "noticing" the stages of falling asleep.I noticed that it happens in distinct stages of deepening.I tried to get to a vivid hypnogogic state that I noticed the night before, but couldn't quite do it.

I became aware quite suddenly. It felt more solid than the dreamstate, as RTZ projections usually do.

I looked around, trying to get an idea of where exactly I was. There were pinpoint stars all around me-& I do mean all around me.I looked directly below me & was shocked at the prospect of floating over seemingly infinite light years, & having no point of reference to where earth or even our sun was.Our star was nowhere nearby- If it was out there, it was mixed in w/the other stars.& was impossibly far away. I quite literally felt the astonishing distances all around me.A very very strange feeling-frightening, yet strangley beautiful & alluring, & filled w/absolute silence & stillness.I felt like I was a long, long, long way from home. Then, while looking around & feeling all these strange things, I noticed an ever so slight glimmer of more light in one direction.Perhaps a nebula or star cluster, it was too faint to tell.I wanted to go there, & the instant I had that thought, I kinda "warped" towards that area. Unfortunately it caused my awareness to flicker for a split second, & I don't really remember what happened after that.

I've had this type of experience before, & i'm looking forward to the next time.I's also like to hear of any similar or related experiences. :?

...I've got an idea.

I read that one can construct an astral portal in their mind, & if it's vivid enough, it can help to travel reliably in the real time zone.

So... :?  :-)

I'm an artist-& I've had in the past, several lucid dream projections about using astral portals (one of them, it turned out, was an EXACT image from a pentacle in The Key Of Solomon).
It was possibly combined with one or two other Pentacles. So I'm wondering, do you think I could create a painting large enough, maybe put it on the cealing or something, that represents an image & symbols of an astral portal-basically A Huge Pentacle. It would follow rules of construction laid out in the Key of Solomon.

What do you think would happen? Any ideas? Warnings? Experiences? Thoughts?

I hadn't talked to him much in the past decade or so, but when we were kids & teenagers we were best friends. He fell, or was possibly pushed down a flight of 18 steep stairs in the dark, possibly drunk. His death was deemed "suspicious".That was a couple of months ago now.I was absolutely floored at first, but I've come to accept it now.I've been thinking about a strange projection attempt about a month ago-I usually can't project as well as I used to-however I'm trying to build & save more energy, so hopefully it will improve things, we'll see.
I was laying in bed in the morning, in the borderline state.I heard someone pluck 3 strings on my acoustic guitar (My friend used to play guitar a bit).I tried to project & check things out.I think the sound of the strings "peaked" my conciousness a bit & made things easier.I saw what looked like fuzzy white electricity electricity floating around, but the pull back to my body was very very strong & I couldn't sustain it.

I tried again to project.I said (thought, actually) "I've almost got it!".I heard his voice say "yeah" or something.I started to remember the fact of our past life, & "between life" histories-not any details, just the fact that they exist/existed.I felt, for lack of any other words "like a powerful soul who chose to be humble".

I haven't tried to reach him again, because I have low energy for astral travel-I've need to be more forcused on worldly concerns for a number of years, but I'm wondering if things can begin to change now-I'm happy in my job overall, & my art & music are finally developing into some initial, hesitant results.

I'm wondering if I can perhaps turn my attention back, a little bit, to that other place-that other state of existence.

Nice! This "pure lifeforce"(aka aura, by traditional mystic terms) is actually a mirrored electromagnetic conformation template of your soul, which conforms as a "cloud" of information in subPlanckian ranges(ie the "astral" realm, and above...)

Try to figure out how to make it white, too. Then you can do all sorts of "interesting" things...

N.M.
hmm... :-)
Intriguing post- I had to think for a minute or so to interpret that   :-D
Is this information related to Akasha (personal/impersonal knowledge & "probabilites")?

And about how to make it white- like purification?
I'm not sure how though-maybe by running energy through each centre, or gathering it all around me, or condensing it or something

Just thinking out loud :| :-)

It didn't look like cotton to me, although I guess these these experiences are highly individualistic.I've already had auric sight for a number of years- I  usually just ignore it or block it out & forget about it.I do see waves of "air disturbances" radiating of of things-especially trees and plants.Inanimate objects too-the computer monitor has disturbances around it.

If it was more vivid I can see it being cottony possibly.I've never heard of that author.

Interesting experience that happened a little while ago.I was just meditating ( "noticing" ) & relaxing deeply.I thought I still had a light on in my room because I could see some ambient light coming from somewhere.I opened my eyes, & my room was dark.I thought "hmm, that's wierd", then went back to noticing-the light was still there. Then I somehow shifted my inner astral vision around & looked at what would've been behind my eyes in my body. There was a softly glowing golden light. It was perfectly still & insistant. Then I heard a voice in my mind that said " this is your pure lifeforce".

I would've thought that it would've been moving around like crazy, but it was perfectly silent & still-it just WAS.

It was very interesting-just thought I'd relate. :-D

In the dream I was using majick to somehow travel from place to place through a doorway in a flat stone set upright, w/symbols on it.The symbols were glowing.I then saw an image of the symbols on paper.

This was was it eventually turned out to be:

It might have been combined with other symbols somehow.I read the book several months after dreaming this.

Now I'm wondering-has anyone tried anything from the Key of solomon?

Can/how does one combine the pentacles.I know nothing about majick.

Pretty wierd.

I am very nearsighted, I find this thread very interesting-it actually reminds me of the Robert Monroe method of OBE projection, in which you focus on a point in physical space at 6 inches directly in front of your forehead, & move it smoothly parallel to your body to 3 ft, then down past your feet, just above you to 6 ft, where you try to feel the pull of vibrations like electricity.

The difference is that, in Monroe's method, your eyes are closed, & it becomes an exercise in vivid, smooth visualization, wheras your method involves the physical eyes.

Sounds interesting-I'm going to try it :-)
#14
I find that the easiest method for me is to get my body very, very relaxed, & then...how do I explain this?  If I am lying down & decide to get up out of bed, it takes a fraction of a second for the signal from my brain for my bodyto get up,  to actually get to my body, causing the consequence of actually getting up physically.

I've managed to figure out how to feel that initial impulse-I initialize it & feel it like a forward pressure on my body & forhead. When my body is sufficiently relaxed, I can capture the impulse, & "sidetrack" it, so that I only feel the spark-impulse the get up, w/out actually getting up.The result, if my etheric body is activated, is that I don't move my physical body, I move my generated astral body instead. It always results in an astral journey, instead of a real-time zone trip, although I have no idea why.

Hard to explain, & a little unusual, but there you go. :-)

a few yrs ago I had a projection at a house which had a cat.I had an extremely vivid & strange projection involving a 2-headed astral dragon which came through a black void of some kind.It showed me a symbol & kind of etching type of picture which was it's name.I escaped it by flying straight up into higher dimensions. It knew I had to come back at some point though, because it was waiting right beside my body.I leaped into my body & I could hear him/it chuckling softly.

I got up & said the usual "holy crap!" after a good projection. Then, the cat (orange, named Morris, & incredibly intelligent & friendly) didn't walk into my room as happily as usual.Morris was very, very nervous, & looking around constantly as if watching for something.

Then, morris literally leaped straight into the air about 2-3 feet, & bolted out the door (extremely unusual). It took me 3 solid months to get him to come back into my room, & he was never quite as comfortable there ever again. This, from a cat which would normally claw at my closed door to get into my room to visit me every day.

I haven't read the whole article yet-I'm in a library at the moment, & have limited computer time.

However, it's interesting that you mention Mars-

The Cydonia "city square", & surrounding formations are laid out exactly like the Pleiades (nearby star cluster). The "face" corresponds to the location of a certain star in relation to the pleiades at it was 17,500 years ago.

www.thehiddenrecords.com/mars.htm

I don't endorse the beliefs of the above link-I just thought the coincidence was interesting. :-)

I get these ALL THE TIME! On the edge of sleep I start having conversations using some other type of thought process or language. Then when I wake completely, I can't remember or understand what was said or who I was talking with, yet in the borderline state, it all makes perfect sense. It's not just mumbo jumbo.Sometimes I can "capture" it when I wake up, & it's like it's a language of symbols somehow.

Sometimes I hear them when I'm awake, but not as clearly.Same symbolic type of language though.

I'm not sure I understand what's going on here. :?

Many people seem to make the silly assumption that obe/astral travel is just about escaping from yourself. It's actually the exact opposite: real illusions are left behind, & your just left w/yourself,l & the exploration of your own conciousness.

Plus, well, it's just fun :-D
#19
Excuse me while I suddenly interject on page 6  :-D

I don't really buy the materialistic psychology belief system (that's exactly what it is-just like every other one-different as they may be).I don't buy into social status-it may be the driving force of a lot of people, but it does NOT make you happier.Eg-I work part time & rent a room.I don't own a house, a car, a boat.I'm not at thew top rank in the company I work for by any means, yet I'm content & happy. If MP: were true, every wealthy rich & famous person on earth would be very very happy.Of course, they aren't: they kill themselves, they may be stupid as doornails, or belligerent, or greedy.

If materialistic psychology were true, there wouldn't be millions of people sorta like myself who are happy the way we are.I'm living proof that it's just wrong.
There's more than one way to view "the world".NOTHING is absolute. Not even the holy grails of science & religion. It's all just belief systems based on root assumptions.

I'm wondering about the symptoms of the three type of kundalini, & their names. One type I think involves a feeling of hands massaging the sides of the head down to the neck.

Can someone expand on this? :?

It is good and normal. Imho ,anyone can develop clairvoyance  over time . The continued development of the human energy body affords even greater clairience . There exists a predictable continuum of clairvoyant development . Most will see best clairvoyantly in dim light with the physical eyes closed and looking thru the third eye . This third eye is the core of the brow energy centre but it is not the only clirsentient centre . Intime  a reciprocal one develops behind the third eye . Then a ring of centres will eventually manifest around the crown. This image was culled from the net . I don't recall the original address but the artist has instinctively rendered an apt depiction.

Wierd coincidence here-I just had an unusually vivid dream about looking up at a single star.I stared at it for at least a minute straight, w/out the dream changing-I was slightly lucid. Then the star came down to me.It had that "ring of centres" around it, & the main body of the "star" was a sphere, w/designs on the inside, like a mandala.

Then, it went into my crown chakra, & a kind of vibrating warmth ran through my body, which was still there when I awoke.

I've never seen this thread before, so it's a very interesting bit of synchronicity. :-)

Any ideas of what it could mean? :?
#22
Is it possible that we may one day be able to use technology to peer into the structure of space itself, the same way we can now see atoms, & particle tracks now?

I was thinking that subspace could simply be the quantum structure of space.Observing this could solve the quantum-gravity question, by allowing us to directly observe whether matter actually curves the structure of space-time.If this is the case, then gravity would basically be the way that matter disturbs the structure of space-time.The same way that space & time are intimately interlinked, matter & gravity would be as well.

Does this sound about right, or what? :?

I'm VERY careful of who I talk to about OBE, etc.I've told people online about it, some just thought I was making up BS, others just said "what, you mean butt-troll projection?".

The conversation ended right then & there.
