SCHMUSTIN, I use the "losing yourself in thought" technique quite a bit. This normally will lead me to a "mental projection". I will find myself in the 3d dark zone, but while there I just work on things. Normally those things are new designs for my Crystal Amplifiers or anything else that I have questions on.

It doesn't matter what you are focusing on, unless of course you are still directly focusing on your physical body. While in that thought, brief images normally will occur. Don't fight it. Many times while counting I will get "redirected" to some other thing that I need to see or learn at the moment.

Go with it. I hear that so many people have a hard time because of their "monkey minds". If that is problem like they say "if you can't beat it, join it".

There are also people that will just "watch" those thoughts, but don't engage them. That is a technique as well. It's always best to experiment and find something that works for you. That will work for awhile, but then you have to find a new way and "adapt" to it. That is, if you wish continued success.

Many times, I just "go with the flow"!  :-)

There is nothing wrong with having a woman/female as a friend. Like everything else in life, including our practice here, "it's the intent" that counts!

A friend of mine's apartment was broken into a few months back. He lived there with his Fiancee. The Police notified them a few weeks ago that they found some of his things. They also wanted to talk with him. His Fiancee's phone was something that was found. The Police accessed it and found that she was having a affair. The reason the Police questioned him on this was that when their apartment was broken into, they, he and his Fiancee, were sleeping in their bedroom. The thief didn't "break in", per se. They just walked in. He figured either him or his girlfriend may have left the door unlocked by accident. The Police thought it may be something else. Anyways, long story short, it has been a very hard time for both of them now.  :-(

That relationship/affair was also started as a casual, just friends thing, but in time it changed.

I'm not saying this will happen to you. If anything I am giving you a "heads up"!

I second Lumaza's points...but I do want to stress something that is concerning to me in your post. You state that you misunderstood a Non-Physical memory for a Physical Reality fact. That can happen from time to time as we explore our existence within these Realities, but it is not a good sign if we get them rigidly confused. Always maintain your awareness of the difference. Recognize and reflect on this sequence of thoughts around this situation. This might be an important moment of evolution for your thought process. That happened for me at a certain point and maybe it is just a short period that we move through; maybe it is six days, six weeks or six months...just be aware of it...become aware of it. This is fun stuff but it can be deadly serious at times; don't let it lead to a traffic accident or stepping off a curb into the path of a bus...
Hence my "can of worms" quote above.

I have had times where the physical and NP have merged. It caused confusion and was something that needed to be "handled". It happened from the state of LDing. The "Simulation" I was experiencing was almost a mirror of my physical realty. So much so that when I had awoken, I had mistaken it for such. Then there were times when my memory was getting distorted. I had memories of experiences, but found I couldn't say for sure whether they were of physical or NP nature. This got better with time. That's when the NP started becoming second nature to me and I discerned for what is was.

A few things immediately caught my eye here. I will quote them below.

"Surprisingly a girl with a boyfriend contacted me in about me age and seemed a lot like me, she states that to me.

She had very few friends, but none of which were emotional or could speak about deeper stuff. Apparently she had one guy who was deep and stuff for two years but he left because his new girlfriend didn't allow him to speak to girls as friends."

Now a question for you. How do you think that "boyfriend" would feel knowing his girlfriend is conversing with you like she is now? In other words, put yourself in that other "guys" position and you may see what is wrong with this picture. Getting into a relationship with someone that is already "attached" is a recipe for destruction. I have seen people go down this path too many times and it never turns out good!  :-( Being a friend is fine, but I think you are looking for more than that.

The ruby red slippers that Dorothy takes from the Wicked Witch- Do they represent the power of newfound young woman sexuality or maybe Root Chakra energy or Kundalini that powers an OBE? Is that why the sister Witch chases her for the slippers? To re-capture that innocent energy?

Do the 3 companions represent the 3 qualities that need development along the OBE path? The cowardly Lion represents the need to develop courage and to pass many Fear tests. The Scarecrow represents the need to develop the intelligence and cognitive abilities while in the OBE state. The Tin-Man represents the need to develop and release the Heart Chakra, to be ready to rely upon Compassion whenever it is called for...
That's pretty "deep" there EV, lol! Definitely worthy of a "Hmm"!  :-D

I am a huge proponent of Kurt's work. Much of what he says matches my experiences as well.  8-)

Once you learn to release your physical mindset, you will be shown/taught how to traverse to those higher "levels" that Kurt speaks of. Heightening your awareness is a very powerful step forward. What your doing right now will help you greatly with this. You will find in time that the NP will be "second nature" to you. That opens up a whole new can of worms. But you will learn how to handle those as well!

Great Job! Here's to your continued success!  :-) :-)

Hey Karin, its great to see you here again!  :-)

I don' think I ever told you this Plume and Karin. But while wire wrapping/mounting  the roots of your tree Plume, a small Crystal point broke of it. I felt bad when that happened. But I took that piece and put it with my other small Crystal shard. When the time came to make the tree that Karin eventually received from Plume, I used that shard in the top little branching.

The thing that showed me that this was really meant to be is that Plume picked that tree for Karin from a number of pieces I had shown her. She never knew that part of her Crystal was in that piece to begin with. I thought that that really showed the true "bond" and "synchronicity" that Plume and Karin share together!  8-)

I am so honored and thankful that this new "Art" has come to me. It allows me to continue to be the "invisible helper" that I was always meant to be. I spend a lot of time in the NP aiding others in need. I wanted to manifest that ability here in this physical realm as well. This new "ability" lets me do just that. I have heard from others that I have made custom pieces for and their lives seem to be more "balanced" now.  :-)

I'm not even going attempt to post a picture, lol. But this link will bring you directly to the picture I wished to share.

<a href="https://s1306.photobucket.com/user/Lionheart78/media/IMG_20180120_232749007.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="https://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s576/Lionheart78/IMG_20180120_232749007.jpg" border="0" alt="Double Canopy 2 Crystal Amplifer (SOLD) photo IMG_20180120_232749007.jpg"></a>

Catsquotl, Your Crystals are beautiful. Your scattered display of Crystals looks not only like my "Altar" in my bedroom, but also my basement floor right now, lol. Mind you, my bedroom layout has all kind of Crystals, from destinations all over the World. My basement floor is all scattered Quartz Crystal clusters, since those are what I use in the Crystal Amplifiers that I make.

Plume, I still own that Crystal point with the "Spirit" in it. I haven't found the right piece or matched it to the right person that I wish to build it into a design yet. I will know when the right time comes though!  :-)

All these awesome Crystals in this thread. I'm loving it!  :-) 8-)

That's intersting EV. Would have been very sad for that song not to have made it into the movie.

One more interesting fact about that song that is only personal to me. The first time I watched Wizard of Oz. When Judy Garland began singing that song I very distinctly heard it sung differently. I loved the version I heard in my head. Many years later Israel Kamakawiwo sang the exact same version I heard in my head.
I read somewhere that that occurrence with the song being different was one of those "Mandela effect" things!  :? :|

I listened to Radio talk show the other day and they spoke of a number of things that were deemed the "Mandela effect". One that really shocked me was from the James Bond movie where Jaws, one of the bad guys, falls off a ski rope wire into a home above. Jaws is basically indestructible, so he lives. He comes out of a home that he fell through when he fell and he sees this petite pretty woman. He then looks at her and smiles, showing his enormous metal teeth (which gave him his name Jaws) and she smiles back at him and reveals her "braces". It was love at first sight. But now, you can't find that anymore. I was confused by that because that scene basically justified and kind of explained why they would have feel in love at first sight. He is a towering giant and she is just this small little thin girl. But the sight or each other's "metals" made it perfect.

I would say door #3 the "?" is the right one here. It didn't seem like a Retrieval. I feel the Monk was the guide you asked for and he taught you to just sit back and "passively observe" all that was occurring with the flame.

Your whole scenario began with a focus on a "Fantasy/imaginary" scene. But it soon morphed into much more, as you have stated here.

I see you are really focused on the physical even while in the NP. It took a while until you got the idea to fly, thus losing your focus on this physical ruleset here. When I am in the NP, I begin as a point of consciousness and only use a "physical vessel" per se, if the scenario calls for one.

I lie back into the water and my first mental affirmation or declaration, I should say is "By my act of will I "RELEASE" my focus on my physical body". This is the same mental "command" I use nightly as well. I found that by losing my physical mindset focus right away, opens me up to much more unique experiences right off the bat.

I do have a few questions though. When looked behind and beside you to "ground" yourself there and take in more of the scene, did you "turn" your head or were you seeing from a 360 viewpoint? You mentioned that you had no "tactile" sensations earlier in the experience, did that change later on into it? Could you feel the heat of the flame? Did the flame scare or shock you?

When I use my "Happy Place" focus, which in case mine is a Tropical Island Paradise, I first look around. At that point I feel the sensation of moving my head. Then I will become aware that I am lying on the beach. I will then pick up some sand and watch as it sifts through my fingers. This will help me to "ground" myself in the scenario. I will do that for a few minutes until something lese catches my attention. That new occurrence will then pique my curiosity and quickly become some kind of new happening or experience. Sometimes along the line, movement becomes more smooth, as in floating. Once in awhile I will also spontaneously find myself above the beach, as in flying, taking in the overall scene from above.

I mentioned on another AP related Forum my Happy Place technique and another poster there, a Moderator named Novice, shared the way she sees this Tropical beach scenario. She always begins her journey on a cliff looking over the beach scene. I tried that a few times and it lead into a jettison to space experience. The times I attempted it, the scenario I was viewing got "hi-jacked" into being launched into the air like a rocket, viewing the planets, the Universe/s, the space warps, it really was a spectacle.

Your detail in recall is very good. I normally have to abort a experience, to be able to have such good recall. The longer the scenario goes, the more seemingly important points I forget.

You are doing fantastic. I look forward to hearing more from you!  :-)

I am just beginning to read about dream yoga Lumaza. I dloaded "dream yoga" by Holicek. What is the best book on dream yoga you can recommend?  On another note, i recently had major dental work and have noticed my obes exponentially fade. Bummer. I hope it is only a lull vs. full time. Have you ever heard of dental work interfering with the np? Im convinced the np has an "inner ear" aspect to it so maybe the metals in tooth caps also help or hinder. Thanks man!
Truthfully, I didn't know that what I was experiencing was known as Tibetan Dream Yoga until after the fact. I heard Robert Moss talking about it in one of his videos and realized that that was exactly what I was experiencing. You can do a search on his name in the Forum search window above. In the past, under my previous name "Lionheart", I made a thread based on his teachings, with links to youtube videos of his as well.

I just did a google search on the title Tibetan Dream Yoga and it came up with a kinds of good info. Some of the info was in the form of free PDF's as well. Take a look here: http://www.bing.com/search?q=tibetan%20dream%20yoga%20pdf&PQ=Tibetan%20Dream%20yoga&SP=3&QS=AS&SK=AS2&sc=6-22&form=BB07SS&pc=BB07

I know the Dental industry has some pills that they give people with anxiety to completely wipe out any memory of their Dental experience. So, possibly that has some kind of effect. I doubt it's long lasting though.

Keep on keeping on!  :-)

How about the transition from black and white to vivid technicolor? Does this represent perception of the mundane Physical Reality changing to the Non-Physical? Or from the monotone Etheric Plane to the much more vivid Astral Plane?
Yes. It kind of compares to the grainy images becoming ever more vivid in full color, sometimes "technicolor", as we get deeper into a good NP focus.

All of those suggestions by everyone above are great comparisons!  :-)

Thanks for all the interesting ideas lately.

Your welcome my friend!  :-)

QuoteRight now I'm just trying to get my routine sorted out, to eliminate any questions about what I should be doing during my routine so that all my focus can be about the experience instead. I still have some basic newbie things to sort out. I have a free Robert Monroe Wave session I listen to called "open exercise" where Monroe sets up the conversion box, breathing, and affirmations followed by a chunk of empty time to explore before returning to c1. It has a good base of things you suggest here. I sort of follow something similar to Frank's script. That explore time is where I will fit in your exercises. It's about 40 mins.
A few days ago I took a look back at the first Journal I had made based on my own experiences. The first technique I ever used, which ended up a success, was "Candle staring". I couldn't duplicate the same success using that the next time, so, I soon moved onto another method. This new method was Robert's Wave session. I could see that basically it was a "walkthrough"/guided meditative technique. Next I used Steve G. Jones "Moonwalking" technique. Then I moved onto Robert Bruce's new.

During that time I was listening to Tom Campbell's and William Buhlman's seminars and videos. So, basically I was bombarding myself with all kinds of info. So much so that I couldn't get anywhere. So, I began dissecting pros and cons from each of these techniques and devised my own.

Robert Monroe taught me the value of a "walkthrough". The candle staring taught me the importance of motion in a target. (I will talk more on this in a moment}. Steve Jones has a great Binaural Beat track that he created and I enjoyed using that. Robert Bruce's "NEW" taught me how to access my "etheric body". It taught me how to "defer" physical pain as well. Then there was Frank's teachings here, via his PDF. That taught me how to Phase. Tom Campbell taught me about fear and how to overcome it. He also taught me that the shift is just a thought away. We just need to get out of the way and allow it to occur.

Now that I had all the techniques, I needed to learn to hurdle the obstacles I was encountering.
1st obstacle: Eyes felt like they were opening just at the apex of a shift. I had vibrations, the Astral winds blowing, etheric motion and then my eyes would open and wreck it all. It could have been my "etheric/Astral" eyes opening. But whatever it was, I found it to be a major hinderance. I fixed it by using simple Blindfold. At first it was a cherry pit eye pad. But then I moved onto a real blindfold that purchased online.

Next obstacle was swallowing and breathing rhythm I would sit down to practice. I then closed my eyes to notice and then I had to swallow. That salivating problem was annoying. Next was the focus on breathing. How I fixed both of these was basically further practice and allowing myself to be immersed in my focus. This is also when I started to use progressive relaxation and disassociation techniques. Well, the disassociation technique was a result of my "pac man" experience, that you related to.

The next hurdle was chasing scenes. I would be noticing the darkness before my eyes, a visual would appear and I would get excited and chase it, using my physical eyes. This would cause all kinds of mental jumping around. This got fixed by a NP adventure I had with my deceased Brother-in law. He had died about 6 years previous, but at the time was not even slightly on my mind. In that episode, he taught me not only NP depth perception, but also the importance of PASSIVELY OBERVING with an air of curiosity.

One by one I had to handle all kinds of problems. The worst one though came through my Trigeminal Neuralgia. For a time, that blocked any success. I could no longer close my eyes and notice. My eye nerve would spam violently when I closed my eyes to focus. To beat that I needed to learn to bypass my physical eyes and go directly to my "Mind's eye". My Trigeminal Neuralgia also taught me Tibetan Dream Yoga.

There is one really important thing I wish to say though. The techniques used for a Etheric OBE and those of Phasing are completely different. I will explain why I say that. It's because Phasing is more of a mental process. Having a etheric OBE normally involves more of a physical focus. Very rarely have I ended up in a real time zone, meaning my current surroundings.

My Doorway technique and the Phasing techniques I have used are based on disassociation from a physical focus. I experience everything from a "point of view" focus. A Etheric OBE is based on "climbing out" of the body. That is still a physical focus in my books. You can't or shouldn't confuse the two of them.

QuoteI've decided to do this before bed once things are quiet, but there are days when it just doesn't happen because Im too tired. I was doing a simple breathing mediation at this time of the night before bed, but I am thinking this practice is more beneficial. The only other time to attempt this would be an early wake up time when I finish a rem period of sleep (4-5am). Not sure if you have any comments, but I think at least practicing this routine over mediation before bed will be more beneficial until the routine is without any doubts or second guessespretty
I find where there's a will you will always find a way. I like repetition. Routines are good!

QuoteRegarding the eyes, there is a lot of switching happening between my physical eyes and trying to observe from the mind's eye/viewpoint. One thing that I remember Frank talking about was how he suggested the physical eyes should look up (maybe up as far as possible). Nobody else really mentions it though. If I am putting effort or attention towards making my eyes roll up, it seems like its putting additional focus on my physical eyes. So Im doing my routine and my viewpoint is struggling between my physical eyes and my minds eye, but then I start worrying about the direction of where my eyes should be looking. Lumaza, I couldn't find any real reference from you on direction of physical eyes, so my impression is to avoid thinking of the physical eyes all together, but I would like to clarify this.  Does having the physical eyes directed up or towards the brow "third eye" area help? Is it warranted for a newbie?

As I stated above. I learned a lot about the eyes. I experimented with everything. Up/down, side to side. In the end I found the best thing to do is to focus straight ahead into the darkness. But when you do, feel that darkness surround you. Become one with it. At this point any visual you produce is normally flat, like it's on some kind of blackboard in front of you. This is why I like the flame so much. A flame "flickers". That creates motion. An apple is an inadament object. At least as a visual, that is.

So, now you are staring into the darkness and nothing is happening, you are getting bored. Well, take your etheric hand and grab hold of the curtain in front of you and swing it open or shoot that basketball in your hands into the darkness in front of you. In other words, do something spontaneous. Don't look for the curtain or the ball in your hands, just know it's there. Be aware of the depth you experience now. If you wanted, you could go back to your visual of the apple or what ever your initial focus target was, to see how it has changed. It does not look like it's on a blackboard anymore. It now has dimension and depth to it.

QuoteFinally, you've mentioned your "quick progressive relaxation technique" but not much detail on what that entails? I know you've mentioned dxperiences where things like a pac man eats away your body, and you suggest things like breathing or unzipping of the body suite. However, what is a progressive relaxation technique?

Cheers.
My progressive relation technique begins with a focus on my big toe and gradually follows up until it is "above" my head. You target each part of the body one appendage or area at a time. To use my disassociation from the body focus, when you focus on a area, you mentally turn it off, until you end up above your head. It doesn't have to take a lot of time. I use it as part of my "ritual".

Here is what I have posted in the past showing my quick progressive relation/disassociative technique:

Here is a simple little step by step in that Disassociation process. I will also add some helpful tips to it that I have been finding lately in my own practice of it. All you want to do is focus briefly on the location until you actually feel it/become aware of it.
Left Leg-toes, heel, calf, knee, thigh, hip, the whole leg, then nothing
Right Leg-toes, heel calf, knee, thigh, hip, whole leg, nothing
Left Arm-fingers, hand, elbow, upper arm, all, nothing
Right Arm-fingers, hand, elbow, upper arm, all, nothing
Back-lower, middle upper, all, nothing
Front-stomach, solar plexus, chest, all, nothing
Shoulders Neck, nothing
Head-chin, mouth, eye sockets, 3rd eye/forehead, hair, nothing. You are done.

 This will be fun!  :-)

If I can start, I will name one and that's the Tornado that acts as the "Vortex or Portal" that leads to the World of Oz itself!

Many times in my own NP adventures Tornados are used as "board sweeps" or complete "scenario changers". They are definitely life changing events here in this physical realm as well.
At first I feared them in my NP adventures. Then I was sucked up by one of them and found it was indeed some kind of portal that could be utilized.

EDIT: Ah, Lightbeam beat me!  :-P  She was posting the same time I was, but she hit the "Save" button first, lo!  :-D

I have been asked lately to further explain how I know I have actually "shifted". So, in the last 3 days I have been trying to slow down my Phasing to where I can identify and be aware of everything that occurs during it.

I just completed my daily Phase/soak session and once again I experienced the same thing. I got into the tub and did a quick progressive relaxation technique. That only lasted a few minutes. I then began focusing on just geometric, like I have been for the past 3 days. I then focused on different color schemes for those shapes. I had read about a similar technique before. I don't know where I read it, so I don't know who deserves the credit for it. I would visualize a red box. Then I would see a blue circle inside of it. I worked with this for a minutes and then it happened. A visual overlay, much more vivid then my imagined target appeared. It seemed to appear over top of the imagined vision, like there were two separate screens. I wanted to learn more about this, so I immediately stopped the session and opened my eyes, became aware of the physical again. Then I closed my eyes and went back to visualizing the colored geometric shapes again.

Somewhere along the line, a vivid overlay appeared again. Once again, I stopped what I was doing, opened my eyes and repeated the process again. Every time I did the vivid overlay or screen would appear. When I was getting near the end of my session and this repeating the initial steps of the Phasing process, I decided to focus completely on the new overlayed scenario. I stayed with that for awhile and then ended my session.

The 2 days previous to this, I experienced the same thing. I guess I never noticed the overlay thing. It is very subtle, so you really need to be aware. But, it seems to be a part of the process in some way shape or form. I found that that overlay seems to be a precursor of a successful shift. It seems to be the time when your focus on your physical eyes changes over to your "Mind's eye".

Welcome back Catsquoti!  :-) By the way, interesting name. I'm sure there is a story behind it.

I perused through your former posts here on the Astral Pulse and found what I considered to be a gem in this one here: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_projection_experiences/fantasy_or_retrieval-t30317.0.html;msg245666#msg245666
From my similar experiences, I would say that was indeed a "Retrieval".

I experienced and still do experience Retrievals. Some of them in almost the same way you wrote in your thread above. Check this thread out and you will see what I mean. "Lionheart" was a name I used in the past here.

Kree, just know one thing "It doesn't have to be drawn out or difficult". You will learn in time to just shift at will. Once you do, you will see how close the NP really is!

My Doorway technique is a bit more involved because people that are new to this practice have a really hard time turning off their physical focus. The techniques found in my Doorway thread are kind of based on "mind games", per se. Those mind games come through the use of "mental associations". Example of this: Geometric shapes. We live in a World of geometric shapes. The focus on simple square can actually bring all kinds of mental associations to mind. I used to say you then need to "allow" the scene to manifest. But last night I watched "Dr. Strange", for the second time now and in the movie, they kept saying "surrender" to it. That movie is based on a really fantastical use of Astral creating physical manifestations. But it has some great tips in it if you are really listening to the teachings of the "Ancient one" in it.
The focus on a basic color does the same thing. The use of a Doorway correlates to the fact that that is exactly what you are doing in this practice. You are opening a conscious doorway between here and there. Those doorways will bring you deeper if or should I say, when, you are ready to open them.

Lightbeam, recently here on the Pulse, I made a reply on another thread about the fact that I had consciously awoken to my home doorbell being rung. It turned out to be one of those Hypnagogic sounds that we get while shifting. It was so real to me though that I got up out of my bed to check who was there, even though it was about 3 in the morning.
Many times I awaken disoriented because I am still in that NP mindset. It actually forced me to learn what I call a "slow roll" back to my physical focus again.

This will likely take more than one post and will necessarily spill over into another thread as it promotes discussions of other topics.
We will patiently await this!  :-)

QuoteFirst, I want to re-cover some ground and backfill  some areas in my original experience-

In 2011, when this experience occurred, it was around 2-3am and I was deeply asleep. I must have gained some degree of higher awareness as I shifted out of one dream and found myself in the 3D Void. I was barely aware though, maybe a 2 or 3 on the lucidity scale. The experience played out and I came fully awake with the knowledge that a fairly significant experience must have taken place, but my memory was already very foggy. I made it a point to write down a brief paragraph outlining the major points of what I did remember and then slid back off into sleep. In the morning, I looked at my notes and really could not recall much in the way of details. It was 2 and a half years later that while reviewing my OBE notes, I came upon that paragraph and decided to lay down and see if some quiet reflection would bring anything forward. What occurred stunned me! It didn't take five minutes of relaxation and it was as if a computer keystroke simply opened a compressed zip file- torrents of information and detail came flooding into my mind. It took about ten minutes for the 'download' to complete and I actually had the ability to shut it off a few times, then to re-start the flow. I had to shut it off the first time because the information was overloading me; the second time I shut it off in complete disbelief that this could really be happening. And there was a different quality to these memories somehow; during this time, I could stop and start and even re-wind the memory in a way even better than a video disc. Now the whole experience was crystal clear in my mind but the nature of this memory process was and still is mind-altering for me.
For me the "download" experience seems to be the most powerful I have had, other than getting a brief glimpse of what Kurt would call the Buddhic Plane/body. It is so powerful that it overwhelms the mind.

QuoteAnother aspect of this experience which I neglected to mention and didn't necessarily understand the significance of at the time was that in the Void and throughout the alien planet adventure, I don't remember having a Physical body or even a RTZ or Astral/Mental form. I felt like I was simply a 'point of consciousness'. I never noticed hands or legs or feet and typical PR movements didn't even occur to me. When I was placed outside the town, I was about 150-200 yards out, the people were far away and yet, when I was suggested to focus in on them, it was like I had 'zoom vision' and could see them up close. Again no physical sensation of any kind of movement.
Once I learned to fully release my focus on this physical reality here, while in my daily Phase soak sessions, I learned to utilize the "point of consciousness" mindset. I am still being taught things all the time to further the experience. But the "point of consciousness" mindset opens the doors for a whole new realm of adventures. It's amazing how limiting holding a physical mindset while in the NP can really be.

QuoteUpon reflection, I realize that I was overwhelmed with data while in the guy's head; I felt caught in a whirlpool or vortex and was spinning out of control and had to be pulled out. Maybe I was in danger of losing the integrity of my own identity/consciousness. The next thing I knew, I was floating in space above his planet, maybe 5000 miles out, with a spectacular view. I looked around at the distant star systems and wondered which way was home, then focused in on one cluster that 'felt' right but was lightyears away and started moving towards it. Then I received a friendly 'boost' from the rear and sped off until my awareness faded and I awoke.
I have never experienced being in another person's or being's head. I have experienced being in other forms before though.
I feel that a spinning or vortex sensation occurs when a Dream begins to spiral out control. I experience it during "downloads" as well. Sometimes, while consciously aware in a Dream scenario, things will begin to happen vey fast and the whole situation just gets overwhelms. That's when I feel I am spiraling back to my physical reality. It happens really fast though. So fast that you abruptly awaken disoriented.

QuoteMy personal metaphysical library is over a hundred books and my collection of OBE-specific books is just shy of a hundred. I remain open to many forms of interpretation and whatever ideas I have today, I will gladly replace tomorrow when new theory or evidence presents itself in a convincing fashion. As an explorer/experiencer, I have no choice but to point out that there are distinctions and patterns within these experiences. It is not simply random experience. There appears to be order, organization and some degree of hierarchy, teaching even...and I will venture this: maybe even some form of curriculum.
I have hundreds of pages, not hundreds of books. I stopped logging my adventures a few years back. I did it because the NP had become second nature to me. It's nice to have a walk down memory lane and those past loggings help me to help others. Today I still log extraordinary experiences and what I consider new level or next levels teachings and lessons.

QuoteOf all the books I have related to any of this, only a few speak to these experiences either in reference or directly; none of the most popular and common OBE books get anywhere near the specifics of these types of experiences, much less explain them or give them context (one exception being Monroe who had the experiences but could provide little other than his individual interpretation, which was understandable given his situation). The books of reference are some of the Theosophical works that relate to the development of the various energy bodies-Etheric, Astral, Mental, Causal, etcetera and the related planes and phenomena. It was all very dry reading for me thirty years ago and held little to no meaning for my experiences at the time; but now, I am beginning to see some evidence of what they were talking about. Markedly better, is the more contemporary work which draws from these earlier ideas, and those are the books by Kurt Leland.
I have a few good books on the subject. Most of my info though comes from PDFs, videos and Forums just like this. Of all the authors/speakers I have found on this subject, I can only fully relate to two of them and that's the teachings from Kurt Leland, Dr. Stanislov Grof. There is one more that you might not have heard of and that's Dr. Albert Taylor. I like Albert because of his positivity. The interviewer tries to sway him into talking about the "evil" side of Astral Projection and Albert won't go there.
I still go back to that Kurt talking about Annie Bessant video quite often because there is so many great things said in it and many of those things don't quite make any sense until later in your development and the evolution of your practice in general.

All three of these video interview/seminars were fantastic.

QuoteNameless, the fact that we both were 'presented' with similar aliens, then other times visited alien human-types and were allowed to observe their culture...it's just too coincidental not to be significant. Maybe the curriculum is that commonplace, maybe there is more to it considering the resonances you and I share. There is possibly more to these aliens that I will share presently, something a new friend shared with me recently. I've run out of time for now but will return.
I recently made a post here on the Astral Pulse of becoming aware of actually flying the ship. No one here replied to it though!  :|
The beings I see though are very small. I would compare them to the size of a 3 year old here on Earth. The scene plays out the same way. I am in my backyard in the Dream, looking up into the night's sky. I soon see all kinds of streaking lights in the sky. The streaks change to that of color. The visual display is extraordinary. Then one of the streaks gets brighter until it lands. I have no fear of this. A few beings then get out and approach me. I follow them to the shop and as I do, I too feel like I am getting smaller. I then enter the ship. There is some kind of silver ball shaped thing in front of me. I wave my hands over it and the next thing I know, we are off. I am flying this thing. Unfortunately I soon loose my conscious awareness on this, even when I am trying to ground myself to the scene.
