A great book for you, at your age, would be "Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard" and "Companion of the Apprentice Wizard" by Oberon Zell. He teaches you how to respect Magick in all it's shapes and forms. Not only Magick, but all of the elements and the Universe itself.  8-)
https://www.amazon.com/Grimoire-Apprentice-Wizard-Oberon-Zell-Ravenheart/dp/1564147118

Oberon has a school of wizardry named the "Grey School of Wizardry" that you may want to look into as well.
http://oberonzell.com/

Magick is basically built around "focused will and intent". The same goes with "Prayer" and the same is with our practice here of Astral Projection and any other thing in life you wish to achieve. The rituals used are to help you can hone/lock on that focused will and intent into what you are attempting to manifest.

When you wish for money or some other thing. It doesn't just magically appear. By making that conscious intent, you are creating that new reality in your life. You may come across a new job opening or could also win some money in a lottery or something like that. But it's you that has to be "proactive" to get it to manifest. Even with the lottery. If you didn't buy the ticket, you wouldn't have won.
But, and this is a big but, you must always make sure to follow any wish or ritual with the words, "with harm to none, so mote it be so it is done". That way, nobody gets hurt by or during the manifestation of your wish or desire.

Now there is free will. So in the case of this girl you like. She has free will also. You can't force someone to like you. But by thinking of her, on some level she will get the message. Where it goes from there is up to her. Like I said, she has free will too.

Magick is neutral. The "black and white" comes from the intent of the practitioner. A so called practitioner of "white" magick can use what is considered black magick to actually achieve a positive outcome too.

QuoteThe type of detachment I am talking about is like enduring a Sauna for as long as one can. You acknowledge the feeling of the heat and the bodily urge to leave, but you remain mentally calm and disjointed from those impulses, as if you are an observer of the discomfort only rather than the subject.
That's an excellent description of the mindset you need to have Thoamas!  8-)

One of the first and the most important lessons I was taught was to learn how to "passively observe" before reacting. It's a hard "impulse" to rewire. It's just like trying to not move your real fingers, while you are trying to move them "etherically" for the first time. It normally takes many tries and a lot of practice before you can learn to turn those mental impulses off or at least learn more control over them.
When you finally do though, you can prolong your experience quite a bit. Jurgen Ziewe does this and he can stay in that state for a long time now. Many years of practice, patience and perseverance got him to that point though.

I have found in this practice that it teaches us the overall ability to kind of rewire or deprogram some of the characteristics and even physical parts of our being.

You always have "Helpers" when needed though. At first they want you to get your bearings before they step in. Call "they" what you wish, "Higher Self", "Spirit Guide" or "Other". You are never alone.

That's a really interesting and informative link Lumaza - thanks. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it all through - even though it took me all morning!!  :-D
Your Welcome!  :-)

I too will read the entire thread when I come across a link. I normally read entire PDF's that I find on the Internet as well.

I've wondered about this before. I'm not so sure it's a "blank out". It might be that in the dreamstate, travelling (if it's not part of the dream lesson) is irrelevant and so is simply removed. I remember watching an episode of Doctor Who where the same thing happened. It was interesting to see it done on the screen...and it was actually that aspect which made the Doctor's assistant realise she was no longer in the real world. Perhaps it's another potential lucid trigger if we have the mind to think 'I don't remember HOW I got here'.
Well, we do know that thought=action over there. So why walk through or drive anywhere when you can just think and be there!  8-) On some level our Dream self/NP personality knows that already.

QuoteThey were a MASSIVE hindrance to me. Although saying that, they were also a WHOLE HEAP of fun. I also learned a heck of a lot with them such as prolonging the dream - in fact, I think my dreamguides got so fed up with me always choosing the sex option, that they went back to the drawing boards and worked the sex into the lessons I was supposed to be learning!! Whilst I'm getting there, I don't think I'll ever become a dream-celibate!  :-P
I agree they are fun. It is a great way to find yourself sidetracked during a learning Simulation. Our teachers must be saying "Doh, not again", lol!  :-D

I wanted to stress that point above because sometimes we just kind of overlook how trying some of these lessons can be.

I don't think we would be likely to find alternate versions of ourselves, REALLY far away, within the "same" physical reality.

The Copenhagen interpretation of quantum physics, which most physicists back today, describes all probable locations of a given particle being encoded into the particle.

Under this interpretation there has to be alternate versions of ourselves that fit a bell curve of probable outcomes, but they are unresolved in terms of a real consciousness collapsing the wave form into an actualized event in our timeline.
Yes, some say those dimensions lie "within" us. But no, it can't be proven until they, the Scientific community, learn how to enter and exit these other dimensions through a controlled technical environment and can duplicate it repeatedly at will.

-sometimes I hear my first snore and wakes me up on the point to falling asleep.lol
-1 time a very hard scream in 1 of my ears ( before first OBE)
-1 time someone yelling " STOP it"
-3 times I realized I was seeing an image:
something like a skull X-Ray which shocked me and ended (1 sec)
A very clear and HQ image of a man with beard sitting (1 sec)
A picture of something like a jungle which did not shock me so I wanted to keep looking at it but after a few seconds the picture disappeared slowly...
These are all signs that you have either achieved a conscious shift or are about to. The yelling is basically your initial fear test. I once had a experience where I felt someone jump on the bed and rouse me saying that there was something wrong terribly wrong with our Grandson. They were screaming it at me. That was quite the fear test there. Even though I realized what it was, it still took me abut 3 hours to get back to sleep.

Your first OBEs are very short, normally a couple of seconds or so. This is because this state is completely foreign to you, consciously aware that is. It takes awhile to jump the hurdles and learn to navigate your new surroundings.

The first thing you need to do is prolong the experience. This is done by grounding yourself there. Get away from where your body is, another room, 1o feet away, then begin engaging your senses. Try to see, smell, hear, touch everything around you. Mentally demand "Clarity Now". All those will enhance and prolong your experience.

Thought = action immediately in that state. So be careful what you think. Many people awaken in SP (sleep paralysis) and their first thought is they are being pinned down by something. Normally it is that Demon from the last scary show they watched. Their first thought immediately manifests into that Demon or Succubus really holding them down.

When in SP, it's best to become a good observer. Realizing that you are in SP will help you react to it in a "sane"/controlled fashion. You can then go and explore and adventure.

Do parallel dimensions exist?
I was just getting ready to post in another thread about this very thing.
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_quantum_physics/dimensionhopping-t47217.0.html;msg367072#msg367072

I have had many experiences whereas in a LD/OBE I will become consciously aware that I am in some parallel experience. I have never physically been or even known the places and people that I found myself surrounded with, but they all knew me. It's almost like I "walked in" to another's body. Next time this occurs, which is often, I am going to find a mirror. I have a feeling that I don't even look the same.

I have also had many experiences that show me that my NP personality seems to be quite a bit different from my own. I will be aware just as my NP personality has put me in a precarious/dangerous situation. The XXXX is about to hit the fan and then all of a sudden I go from 3rd person (watching it) to 1st person (being in it) immediately. It's like "tag your it". It's always leads to a test, quest or challenge of some sort.

I believe that some other races (Ets), that are possibly millions of years more advanced then us, do the same thing. It's just they have fine tuned their process. I am working towards fine tuning mine as well.

Just a little add on here. I once had a experience whereas I was shown a Black Hole and the other side of it was "white". It was some kind of "Cosmic Recycling Station". I didn't intend to see it. At the time it was probably the furthest thought from my mind. My intent for that session was just to just explore. I was shown much more than I could understand or even could comprehend. That questioned me why was I seeing this in the first place. I'm not a Physicist or Astronomer, but I am a "Adventurer".

Sounds like a great experience Selski!  8-) I see you are back in full throttle. Just like riding a bicycle!  :-)

Did you read that whole thread that EscapeVelocity gave you in your last LD thread about Kurt Leland's "Café" experience? Your Sensei" sounds like a "Facilitator".

It seems like your experience was full of "triggers". First the fact of being with friends in a nightclub listening to Music that you likely enjoy as well. Then you had more things to aid your awareness to finally lead you to the Café, like the fact that you noticed the way you were dressed.

It's funny how we "blank out" the trivial things, like how we get from point "A" to point "B". Yours being the travel from the club to the Café. The name of the Vegetarian Café also showed that you were in for a treat. The name "Buddha Tea House" would definitely raise my awareness level as well.   8-)

We may look back at the "sex tests" now as something minor or trivial now. But in the beginning they were a big hindrance to our NP evolution. Now they are totally apparent and if anything help in the awareness process. I find it's a great "DT" (Dream trigger).

It's interesting that you are 'toilet paper tunnelling' once again, 3 years later. When I read the other thread, I found myself nodding along to Szaxx's comment of tests. I'm familiar with tunnels but I usually move through them rather than allow the scene to expand.

I was reading some of my earliest experiences yesterday and came upon this one which involves automatic movement and tests...

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_projection_experiences/letting_go_and_being_humble-t19174.0.html

I wonder if when we move without 'us' getting involved in the actual movement, this is a sign that others (helpers/guides) are doing that little bit extra to give us a nudge to learn something.

Do you recall anything about the chat you had with the people round the dining table - that might be important?
Yes, I am no stranger to the "tests, quests and challenges" part of the "NP. I even created a thread here named just that, lol.
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/tests_quests_and_challenges-t46546.0.html

I don't have much recall of what occurred when I finally got out. The lesson seemed to be more about the "exit", the way I got out, then anything. I recognized the "nudge".

The second OBE seemed to be more of a "Download", information transfer. It was intense and forced me to consciously click out. Tom Campbell says we click in and out when our Human minds can't comprehend what we are experiencing. Then we kind of go into auto pilot.

So, I'm aware that one doesn't need to be in a full sleep paralysis, but It's the only method that worked for me to this point. I have trouble holding the vibrations at the same level. Sometimes I get a big buzz of vibrations, and I try to hold it, and It just goes away, as if I lost focus or something. Another thing I noticed is that when I get high amount of vibrations, my leg muscles slightly contract, I notice it and mostly lose focus.
There's your problem. Too much bodily focus. You need to bypass that stage. You need to find something to consume your focus while you undergo a natural shift. I say natural because you shift everyday. You just aren't conscious of it.

QuoteAbout the motion thing...
I usually do a mental walk around the place where I am at. I do it right after relaxing (trying to lose the sense of body contact to the bed). I try to imagine a "first person perspective" of me getting up, feeling the floor, the material, temperature, structure of the rooms and basically walk around and interact with objects. I do that for a while and come back to my body (Etherically ofc). I had this idea that doing so would set me up for where I will go when I shift, and it's like practice for moving around in the astral world too.
Stay with your non physical/etheric focus. Don't return it back at all to your body until you are done with your session. Returning your focus to your body is exactly the opposite of what you want to do.

I just finished my afternoon Phase session and it was "awesome". I will get to that in a bit.

Right now I want to say the message that I was told right of the bat was. "I am being Guided to doing this". I am being taught to teach you". Take that how you wish. I don't believe in coincidences, never have. I believe if you are reading this there is a good reason for that, just like the reason I am writing all of this is.

Last night I had 2 spontaneous OBEs. I label these OBEs because I actually had a "exit sign/symptom" (you can read more on Exit symptoms in this thread: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/exit_symptomssignposts-t46206.0.html

I went to sleep and made my mental affirmation to see what I need to see and learn what I need to learn, just like I do every night. Many times I will become Lucid in a Dream. This night though, I thought I was asleep, but then I felt a strong movement forward. This motion was of moving forward in front of my feet. Normally my spontaneous OBEs begin in full Sleep Paralysis, then I feel my ankles/legs touched and lifted. But this night there was only motion. Soon a small "portal" of some sort showed up and I was looking down a tunnel or pipe of some kind. The images at the end of the tunnel were very small. It was like viewing from the opposite side of a pair of Binoculars or Telescope. I wrote about it in a recent here too: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_chat/quick_quotastral_relatedquot_question-t47103.0.html;msg367060#msg367060
After my first OBE, I soon felt motion again and found myself somewhere else again. Not much recall on this one though. I think there was a lesson to it though and that I will share in a minute.

So, back to today's Phase session. I laid back in the water and began some simple ping ponging. This is when the message came about being Guided. I listened and was also told that I need to get a bit more specific on body positions. I wasn't told in plain words, the messages come through more as very strong thoughts and impulses. They immediately consume my entire thought process. Once I have received one, I can continue back to what I was doing before, that being my "ping pong" directional focus.

I immediately noticed something that could confuse people. When standing, front and back is simply in front of you and behind you. So the motion moving forwards or backwards is easy to get. Up and down is now rising and falling, but you are rising above your head and falling below your feet. Right/left is simply to the left or to the right of you.
But, lying down, it will change and confuse you. Forward and backward is now in front of your feet and above your head. Up/down is still rising and falling, but now you are rising above your stomach and falling under it. Left/right stays the same. This is very important to say because it may cause you to "overthink" things.

Even though forward is in front of your feet, your accompanying visual is still the motion of moving forward. Example: racing forward on Rollercoaster.

In my Phase session today I explored the "Pace/Pilot car" scenario a bit more. I began with the forward/backwards. I found that for this session forward seemed to feel right. So I stayed with that. I messed around with a Rollercoaster visual, then some driving, using a "pace/pilot car" about 10 feet in front of me. For some reason I decided to change it to skiing. So I had a guy ski in front of me (pace car) and it was very cool. The snow was flying, it was beautiful. He was taking sharp curves and then all of a sudden he hit a "mogul". I felt the bump. He then hit another one and another one. He then hit a huge one that sent him flying. So I did too. That was awesome.

I then changed it over to a Motorcycle scenario. Again there was the speed, the curves etc., but this time he hit a actual ramp and once again, the flying occurred.
This immediately reminded me back to when I was new myself to conscious shifting. I was listening to a tape program by Steve G. Jones that used the mental visual and feel of moon walking, whereas there is 0 gravity. At first you begin with a simple step. Then another and another. but the step takes longer and you seem to move quite a bit further, because of the 0 gravity. Soon you take a bit of a leap and that feels great, so much so that you take a huge jump and find yourself floating or flying in that area. By now, if you stayed with the visual and in that scenario long enough, you have already encountered your conscious shift. Just don't think back to your physical body or your session will immediately cease. This is when you create a intent or go to your Happy Place and go explore.

My OBE last night helped me because I experienced the forward motion as being in front of my feet. When you visualize forward, you don't need to see your feet though, lol. I was just showed the importance in relaying this message to people.
Thank You!  :-)

Yodad, the ping ponging is a mental exercise. But it also creates a real tactile feeling. Although that tactical feeling is Etheric, at first it will still create a physical response. Example, Focus on your finger. Now focus on moving your "etheric" finger up or down. You will likely twitch or move your physical one as well. that is a automatic response/stimuli coming from your brain.
My exercise help you shut down that automatic physical response while still being able to feel movement, but now it is on a etheric level.

The ping ponging feeling occurs from the simple action of focusing on different points across from each other. This creates a etheric pull. Example. up/down, left/right or forward backward. Think of these points as surrounding your body, about a foot away. It doesn't matter where you are practicing this. In bed doesn't mean that by focusing on the point under you that you will find yourself on the floor. In the etheric, the floor isn't there. Just know that.

When I first started my practice I became aware of where I was. I would have a hard time because I would think a focus on under would put me under my bed, lol or a focus on the ceiling would leave me up there. But I soon got past that because it was the direction that was important, not the location. Example, when focusing on your moving your etheric finger, you may think, wait a second my hand is on the chair, how can I move it down. That would become a mental obstacle to you. But if you realized that chair wasn't there period, the obstacle is gone. So now it's easy to move your finger down, because it won't hit anything. Change your mindset, you change your reality.

When you begin bouncing your focus between 2 opposite directions it does create a "virtual" pull. Part 2 "enhancing" makes that pull stronger and more apparent.

Greetings Duality and Welcome to the Astral Pulse!  :-)

I didn't post in your first thread here yesterday because I saw that the replies you received were all spot on.

I know what it is like to lay there all night waiting. It's actually quite tiring and the next day you feel out of it. It happened to me as well. But that was when I trying to force something to occur.

Ways to rectify it. Start with a simple one, don't attempt to have a conscious shift while in bed. At least for now that is. You have programmed yourself all your life that bed is for sleep.
Now to the sleep paralysis subject. SLEEP PARALYSIS IN NOT NECESSARY FOR A SHIFT IN CONSCIOUSNESS. I put that in large letters, because for some reason people seem to be targeting that instead of the real target which is achieving a conscious shift.

So you are lying down. Maybe you do a bit of progressive relaxation to help you let go. You then focus on your breathing. But now you are n ultra aware mode, just awaiting the first "sign post/exit symptom". But one doesn't show up or at least one that you "expect" doesn't show up. So, you need to lose expectations.
Now you are just lying there focusing on your breath and awaiting the show to begin. You have cleared your mind. But now what is happening? Most likely nothing, other then you are just staring into the darkness before our eyes.
Now is when you should make a intent. Do you have a "Happy Place"? If you don't mentally create one. Use that as your launch pad. Do something constructive and fun, not just boringly lying there awaiting the show. Use some kind of motion based technique. What do you like, skiing, oaring, swimming. Do that motion "Etherically". Don't move your physical arms or body though. Maybe go mentally walk around your home. There is so many things you can do other than focusing on your physical breathing that are proactive. Focusing on your breath is still focusing on the physical You need to bypass that at some point during your practice and go beyond the breath.
You can find some more ideas in my Doorway thread here. Every "Sticky" on the Astral Pulse has something in it you can use. The stickies are written by people that have achieved success many times with undergoing a shift in consciousness. The Stickies are the threads in BOLD BLUE LETTERS found in the Sub-Forums here and are very informative.

You just can't beat consciously entering a dream environment without having fallen asleep.
Agreed. The Tibetan's really hit on something extraordinary with their Tibetan Dream Yoga.

Last night I had two spontaneous OBEs. I label them an OBE simply because they were accompanied by an actual exit symptom. It was very strange because I actually thought I had already fell asleep. I wasn't attempting to do anything. The next thing I felt was movement forward, that gradually sped up. Then I went into tunnel vison, whereas I was seeing some kind of scene, like I was looking through a toilet paper roll. The scene/people at the end of the tunnel were very small at first. It was like I was looking through the wrong end of a pair of Binoculars or a Telescope.

This time, I opened my eyes or what I thought was my physical eyes and the whole scene became a normal sized view. There was people sitting around a dining room table. I thought it might have been my Family, but soon saw it wasn't. We chatted for awhile and unfortunately soon after that, I "clicked out" and the next thing I knew, I was becoming consciously aware again.  The forward motion was occurring again. This time, I found myself in a completely different place.
I knew I had my "sleep mask" on, so I knew that anything I was seeing, wasn't here in this realm. If I opened my physical eyes, I would have just seen plain darkness.

I have written about this "tunnel"/toilet paper roll view experience before here on the Astral Pulse, under my former name here Lionheart. It seems to occur from/during spontaneous OBEs.

After having no succes with this methode, decided to try to get in sleep paralysis by WBTB at night after sleeping for 4h.
I always fall in sleep after doing the proces.

Also I try doing it in the day ,after relaxation trying to get  sleep paralysis, still no succes.
Welcome to the Astral Pulse!  :-)

I copied your quote above because I saw your initial goal has changed. In the beginning you wanted to have a OBE and you did. Now you want to get into sleep paralysis, which not everyone will experience every time they attempt to project and some people don't' get at all.  It is not a necessity when you undergo a "shift in consciousness".

Your technique sounds good. Progressive relaxation into breath work but then what? You say you empty your mind, then what happens. Maybe a vibration or some kind of quick hypnagogic image? Then your mind kicks in and the excitement of the journey begins. ...and then it is done as quick as it started. It wasn't like your first OBE. It likely won't be that way again either.
My first attempted consciously aware OBE came after watching a video on "candle staring". After staring at the candle, I closed my eyes and saw the imprint still there. I focused on that for as long as I could. A gentle wind soon turned into the sound of Helicopter landing on my roof. A very light little body tingle turned into a rocking and rolling earthquake. None of my experiences afterwards were that extreme, not even close. Except for one that I had spontaneously whereas I did awake in full SP and felt myself being lifted by my ankles up to my ceiling, then spun through my ceiling like a cork screw. It was rather intense.

So what I am saying is that your experiences will change and be different then before. Sometimes you also seem too aware awaiting for the OBE to occur. Your excitement becomes your enemy here. You need to set the stage per say, but also have a intent of what you want to do once you do achieve the conscious shift.

You can then use some proactive methods, like climbing a ladder/wall, swimming, oaring, whatever it is you like that contains motion.
Check out my 6pt focus that can be found in the Doorway thread here. It should give you some good constructive ideas.
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/enhancing_the_6_pt_focus-t46013.0.html;msg367052#new

If you did this once, you can do it again. Sometimes that second time can be more trying then the first. Your practice, patience and perseverance will see it through. You will find that sometimes you need to tweak your method a bit as well. I have many ways to get into a good NP focus. I change it up all the time to keep it fresh and interesting.

Hopefully this helped in some way! Good luck!  :-)

When I first read it I thought maybe this was some sort of learning simulation for doing soul retrievals.  Or, perhaps it really was.
I thought that too. If I was going to teach someone to do a "Retrieval", one of the best ways would be to use a emotional attachment as a training mechanism. Therefore you instantly want to help the person/people in need because you know them on some level. It would mean more to you at the time and thus cause you to react.

After while, it just becomes a part of who you are, at the being level. You help because you know you can and for that you get called on to undergo them. You have to control your emotions in a Retrieval though. Emotions get in the way of rational thought at the time.

If you are new to this Forum, try the 6 pt focus technique. I will guarantee that just the simple "ping ponging" of directions, which by the way can be done anytime almost anywhere, will indeed lead to some kind of experience for you. This doesn't take years of practice to achieve. Something will happen and maybe that initial sneak peek into something out of your current mindset with create enough curiosity to be asking for more.

Use a journal to log your progress. Journal after every session. That way, you can follow your progress with this practice in general.

Today I wish to focus more on the "enhancing" of the pull. But first I just wanted to add another thing that I found was important in this practice. That is time or place. Yes, using the same time schedule, which can be difficult because of life itself or using a place or special chair etc., will also help with the mental conditioning.
William Buhlman, a famous Astral Projection Author, states that he uses his couch for his practice and that his consciousness is so used to it, that sitting on it period anytime begins the "shifting" process itself.
A good friend of mine on another Forum, brought up the idea of her purchasing a "bean bag" chair just for this practice itself. Being the entire practice in general, not just the 6 pt focus.

When I was first new to this I had to learn lessons the hard way, as do most of us. I would hear you should do this or that and totally ignore it thinking it's unnecessary. One of those lessons occurred while ignoring the "never try to AP in bed". After my initial OBE that came following a "Candle burning" technique, instead of using a chair, I started practicing in bed. The problem wasn't me going to sleep while attempting the "Mind Awake/Body Asleep" focus, it was with now trying to go sleep in bed at all. Somehow, I ruined my inner programming that we all have that says "Bed is for sleeping". When I laid down to go sleep, I automatically began Phasing and sometimes it lasted for hours. I couldn't turn it off. So, be careful what you wish for, lol.
I did get passed that stage. It took finding a happy balance between the 2 of them. But it caused many sleepless nights just the same.

Getting back to the mind awake/body asleep technique. This is one of the most used techniques that is mentioned and still used today, by many of the famous Authors of Astral Projection. In it, you basically stay aware while allowing your body to fall asleep. This can be a very time consuming practice. When I first began using it, it took anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and half to hit that mark. This 6 pt focus that I am sharing here, if anything, will consume all that time doing something fun and adventurous, instead of just staring into the darkness and waiting and waiting and waiting.

Now to the Enhancing.

To begin with we are going to work on some tricks to kick start the feeling of motion into gear.

This first part will serve two purposes.  First, it will exercise and kind of loosen up your muscles, thus helping you to relax. The second thing it will help with, is making the last thing before you close your eyes a tactile sensation itself.

So, stand up. Give yourself about 6 feet clearing all around you. Now with your eyes open. Walk forward 3 feet, then backwards 6 feet. Walk forward 6 ft, then backwards 6 ft.  Feel the sensation, ending back in the middle where you started again. Once in the middle (without turning your body), you are going to move 3 feet to the left and then 6 feet to the right, then 6 ft to the left, 6 ft right for 3 cycles, finally returning to the middle again.

Now do the same process with your eyes closed. When you are finished, open them and we go to step 2.

Put your hands on your hip and bend forward, then bend backwards for 3 cycles, finally ending straight up again.  Now do the same with left and right, for 3 cycles. Lastly, reach up, extending your toes as high as you can, then crouch down as far as you can, for 3 cycles.
Repeat that with your eyes closed, then sit down, lay down whatever you prefer.
Now, if you actually did this entire exercise, you are confirming and committing on a deeper level your intent and your consciousness has received that message. That is what ritual is all about. A gauge of your intent. How bad do you want this?

Close your eyes and begin a bit of ping ponging of for a minute or two. Feel the tug o war. Feel the uniqueness of each direction.
We are going to slow the speed down on the ping ponging now and we are going to synchronize it with our breathing. The synchronizing with the breathing is very good to enhance the strength of the pull and overall tactile sensation of each direction.
Start with your focus on the up/down, a breathe in breath will be rising/up, a breathe down a falling/floating down feeling. Do this for 3 cycles. Next we move to the frontwards and backwards and do the same thing for 3 cycles. Breathe in, in this case is backwards. Breathe out is forwards. Next do it to left/right. I am left handed so I usually do breathe into the left, right is out. But that doesn't really matter here. You can choose whatever one feels comfortable to you. Slowing down the breath will enhance the tactile sensation.

By now the feeling of motion should be going strong. Now we go even further. This is where it gets fun.

We will begin with associating the direction with common things we already experience in this life.
Front, will be some kind of driving, flying simulation. You could use the visual of driving a vehicle. This is something common to most of today. See the road ahead and follow where it leads or fly overtop of the trees, waters, buildings, whatever you can visualize works. Now that "etheric" tactile sensation should be really good.
A Roller coaster ride is very good with the forward tactile focus as well. I find it generally harder to prolong though because a Rollercoaster ride is normally very short. But it is extremely intense. So does the visual of a spinning vortex or portal.

A friend of mind on another Forum said she had a hard time with the driving visual because she kept loosing her tactile focus to focusing more on the poles, trees and homes that she was passing by. I figure that's a good thing. It shows how deep her focus was to the scene she had created as it was. In that case I say, abort the 6 pt focus and follow where "this" new occurrence is leading you. After all, a focus outside of you physical body is what we are trying to achieve.
Other people have reported to me that the had a hard time with it also because they would getting "swayed" into something else. Not one of them said they had problems with the motion or visuals themselves. Their problems occurred while already visualizing itself.

When I first got into this practice I was met by a "Guide". That guide came in the form of my deceased brother in law. He taught me "depth perception" and basically how to navigate the "Otherworlds". He also taught me how important it was to learn to "passively observe" and to learn to "allow".
I would be attempting a Phase session and then all of a sudden a Horse or car, plane, rocket etc. would come into my visual screen, but I would always be behind it, watching it. Soon I would end riding it or in it, as of the car, plane. But for some reason my visuals began with some sort of "Pace Car" or vehicle. I don't know it this happens with others here too, but I experienced it myself.

Okay, back to the 6 pt enhancing.

So, forward was easy. Backwards, do everything from your forward simulation in reverse. Drive in reverse, fly in reverse, go through that spinning vortex backwards. I find it very intense and hard to hold a backwards focus. The tactile feeling is immediate though.

Next to up/down. We can use up as climbing, a balloon rising, Rocket simulation, flying, all kinds of things. Elevator ride, there is plenty or visuals that we mentally associate with almost every direction. As I said, backwards seems to be the challenge for me.

What goes up must come down. So for down we can use floating down to Earth from your up focus. Moving down the wall. Diving into the water. Going down on a Elevator. Once again this is very easy to associate with.

Now to side to side. The best ones I find for this is rolling waves. Swinging in a hammock is good too. Basically any kind of swinging effect would suffice, even a simple visual of a Pendulum swinging side to side to side.

Don't worry if you can't see these things or visualize them yet. Just know they are there and sooner then later they will be there.

You don't have to do the 6 points/direction every time. I personally like to stick with one direction for a entire session, sometimes many sessions, just to acclimate myself fully into associations with that direction itself.
If anytime during my attempts something else begins to occur or take shape, I fully allow the next thing to bloom and I immediately abort my initial 6 pt focus. That is our goal anyways. Like I said above, if anything, this 6 pt technique will totally consume your entire focus, thus giving time for the "shift" to occur itself. Many times you will just find yourself "there" and once there, it's time to explore your new surroundings.

Practice this for the next week and I will be back with more.

Alien mind!?

Are we talking about philosophically alien entities, something born and native to the non physical, or the spirits of extra terrestrials from other planets in ours or similar universes.
Either or. Take your pick.
To fully understand a Human's mind, you need to be Human as well. So, why wouldn't it work the other way around?

If that comment is pointed anywhere towards me, I am only too impressed and offended at the same time, my friend.
Lol. You know better then that. That last comment was in response to Thaomas's post. I even quoted it before I replied!  :-)

QuoteThe 'logic' isn't always apparent at first. We also need to add in a mix of feeling and intuition...and give it time to percolate.
EXACTLY!

That is what Science lacks. They (the Scientific community) won't allow their logical brains to except anything else. Even if they were shown the truth, it would be beyond their comprehension and for that ridiculed as false. Tesla and others have tried and look where that got them!

I am happy to be proved wrong though. How can we understand the logic behind this stuff?
You can't. The only ones that can understand an Alien's mind is another Alien themselves.  :-D

There is many things the Human mindset cannot comprehend. Our answers based on current "Science first" has proven to be broken logic. In another 100 years, what I am saying will be agreed on, because in a hundred years, we will also have a different mindset.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: existence.

Welcome to the Astral Pulse GreenSphere!  :-)

It certainly does change your reality. But we chose to be here, so we need to exist here too. We keep moving here in this physical realm day to day and once in awhile we still get "outside" to play. Never make it an obsession. That's unhealthy!

I appreciate all the work you did in amassing all the research for this. You basically named almost every Author there is on Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming, which in the end is all the same thing, "a shift in consciousness" . That is quite a lot of work in itself.  :-)

I have read your book and it is very good up to the point of all the rubbish about "Predators". If you would take some good advice, I would leave that part out. It seems "you" need to handle your own fears first, before you attempt to teach other people how to handle theirs.

I mean, really. I can usually trace where my dreams come from...but not this comment from a dream character.

Can't remember the details but a shopkeeper (I think) said 'what's that smell' while looking at me walking over. This was said neutrally and not nastily. I asked what she thought it (I) smelled of and she replied...

ANDY PANDY

I mean, really?!!!!
I find that these "out of the blue" comments and happenings aid us with our Dream recall. They certainly do catch our attention and stay in our minds. Perhaps this will lead to you remembering more about your Dream later today.

The other day while in a OBE, a attractive young lady, walked up to a table I was sitting at and began rubbing against me. I questioned why, she replied "to help me gain awareness". It worked too. I was becoming too involved in the scenario, getting too deeply immersed in it, at the time and my conscious awareness was beginning to wane.

* Instances of entities may appear. If there are trillions of entities, a program can simply use instances of one model or a class to create those trillions. This saves enormous amount of memory and computing but the result is that all those trillions of entities are exact clones. We have electrons, protons and all such entities here, that are identical in every way.
Some of these Entities could also be the computer's "repair crew". I have always believed we are being "micromanaged". If that is true, then I am sure there is some "hands on" tweaking needed from time to time. Computer programs do have their flaws from time to time.
People report seeing "nuts and bolts" ships, but also some of these Entities that just seem to just appear and disappear, as if they are walking through a dimensional portal of some kind.

What I love about this practice of Astral Projection is that we are learning what "They" already know or should I say "relearning" what we already know too. Yet they are "Masters" at their craft. We are learning how to traverse other realities and the multiverse like they do and on some level they are the ones guiding us to do that.

From time to time I see things in people's posts that show me that they are being led to something greater. At the time they don't see it themselves. By "observing" here and other Astral related Forums, I can see who they are. I just wished they would see it earlier themselves. Then we could start combining our efforts and be able to discover and learn so much more.
One day perhaps!  :-)
