On the earth there is a much different idea . It was found by Robert Monroe . It is loosh . While out of body he was given a peice of info . It was why life on earth was set up . Loosh is given off in the life death strugle by all living beings . We are like milk cows . I dont believe me, or any one else on this forum has a discussion on loosh .  If interested I can start a seperate thread .  I started one on the now closed Pavlina forum and I have one on s.f. but its in a members only sec.
There is a thread on the topic of "loosh" found on this very Forum. Check it out.

This can seem sorta out of blue, but what's the difference between phasing and projection? What does phasing represent? What is phasing?
Phasing is just another way of experiencing the "other realms/non physical consciously aware. It is projection.

An OBE, well as the word spells out, is a "out of body experience". This is normally achieved by some method of "climbing" or getting out of the body. In this the person experiences sensations of a actual separation occurring.

Check this thread out. It has an excellent description of Phasing. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_the_astral_faq/what_is_phasing_and_how_can_i_do_it-t17413.0.html

All of the basic questions on Astral Travel in general are answered in this subsection of the Forum. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_the_astral_faq-b46.0/

Well first off. Why do you want to have a conscious projection?

Next, go into it with a strong intent. But allow what is going to happen to happen. You need to get outside of and release your physical focus.

Try this technique and some others found in this thread. They are excellent for achieving a strong "non physical" focus. Like I said though, allow things to manifest the way they wish. If you see something outside of what you are attempting to "imagine", stay with it. Lock onto it, but only passively. That seems to be the problem that most people have with projection. It's how to "passively" observe something while keeping a strong focus on it as well. It sounds like a "misnomer", but it's what you need to learn. Practice these exercises often and you will find that you just start projecting spontaneously.

Also, get yourself a book that you can log what happens during your attempts. Start by writing what happens when you attempt to AP, sensations, etc. From there write down what you are seeing. No matter how trivial it may seem, it's always progress.

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/the_doorway-t46013.0.html

One last thing. Begin using nightly affirmations stating your desire to go learn and experience. This all may sound like a lot, but everything you do to prepare for success shows your "higher self" that you are ready to see this. The exercises in "the Doorway" get you used to having and maintaining a good strong non physical" focus. Astral Projection is a shift in consciousness. But, you have to learn to allow the shift to occur.

The secret is so simple it gets overlooked.
Go to sleep but stay aware.
That's it in a nutshell.
Yep, turn one off, the other turns on. The trick is to learn how to stay aware in both of them. The Tibetan's call that Tibetan Dream Yoga.

As for Astral vs Lucid;; well, I have made a divide between the two. Lucid doesn't appeal to me from its lack of control (which is great in a dream, but from my understanding, lacks the true control one might have when astral projecting). I suppose, as you ultimately said, anything is better than nothing. I've just focused entirely on the former, paying no attention Ever to the latter over the past. Don't even know where to begin with lucid dreaming ! Eitherway, I'll embrace it if it naturally occurs or is a by-product of Projection attempts, but I'm not trying to achieve it primarily. That's, fine, right?

Also- what's RTZ?
You really shouldn't divide the two. I experience the "other realms" by conscious APs and LDs. The only difference I see between them is the way of getting there and state of awareness that I immediately find myself in.

When I have a LD, I must become aware enough to control my own actions in it. With a conscious AP, I am aware through the entire process. Once I am aware in the LD, I can do everything I can do in a regular AP session. The thing with a LD is, I am already becoming aware in a full blown scenario. Aping can sometimes take from 2 minutes to an hour and half to fully achieve a full blown scenario. So in turn once I become aware in either I have the same amount of control.

I don't alter my LDs any more. I am a active participant in them, but I just continue the plot/scenario at hand. That is unless directed otherwise. I talked to a lady yesterday that told me that she and her daughter have LDs as well. But she called herself a "Dream Walker". She explained to her daughter that not everyone can do it, so she might not to share her "secret" with her friends. She told me that she also "re-scripts" them as well. She called that process "Do overs".

Try the nightly affirmations for a month or so. Don't skip them at all. Here is a great LD induction Binaural Beat track that you might want to use before yo go to sleep as well. It is very good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRyDqwmnLAM

...and RTZ stands for "Real Time Zone", which in turn is this physical waking reality that we live in here.

Am I on the right track with this exercise?
Yes you are. Any technique or exercise that leaves you with a a strong NP (non physical) focus is considered being on the "right track". I use different expansion and retraction techniques often myself. You just have to see it through though. Don't give up. A month is nothing compared to the span of a lifetime!

Check out some of these helpful Stickies and you will see what I mean.

So the title says it all,

When I'm astral projecting/ having an obe, and I see someone standing in the dark at my door,
Or I feel or see some other entities, are they real or is it just sort of an hallucination?
Try to interact with them and find out for yourself. Only you can answer that question!

I know that answer is vague, but it's true. If you have a belief already on what it is, you are only one that can change your mind. My opinion is they are "real". But that leads to what is real. That topic on what's real and what isn't is currently being talked about in this thread here.

You likely knew that though and that's what led you to asking your question!

 Hello and Welcome Astral Flyer!

Are you doing it right, yes you are. It sounds like you have been successful already with your pursuit of OBEs. The first time you do it, you are so shocked and bewildered that you immediately find yourself back in your physical body. The first trips are kind of like a "sneak peek" of what's yet to come.

Szaxx says it is important to get as far away from your physical body as you can. Don't look back or even think of your physical body. that will send you back immediately as well. Try to "ground" yourself to the area you are. That means, touch things around you. Try to utilize your senses. What do you hear or smell, etc.? Also this is a great time to go to your "happy place". Everyone has one of these. It's the place that you have always fantasized about. Now you can go there for real.

Now in your Dreams, are you watching them or are you a "active participant" in them? When we first become aware in our Dreams many times we are watching the scenario like it's a movie screen. The fun begins once we are an active participant in them. Once you are Lucid you can take total control your actions, including changing the locale into another area. You can rescript them if you don't like the outcome. There are all kinds of fun things you can do in them. This is also known as projecting. If you know that your physical body is sleeping and lying safely in your bed and you are experiencing another realm, this is known as experiencing a "NPR" (Non Physical Reality). Which in turn is a projection.

Check out Szaxx's thread/Sticky here, it's very good. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/the_astral_blueprint-t38729.0.html

Actually while you are at it, check out all the Stickies in the section and on the this Forum period, they are excellent.

Lastly, I experience SP (Sleep Paralysis) often. I also find that I first feel like something is touching my legs, then I feel my legs lifting and the next thing I know I am jetting out of my body, down my hallway and out my patio window into another realm. Many times this other realm is completely different then this physical one. I don't do anything to "try" to exit. I just awaken in SP and "allow" what's going to happen, to happen. I use that word "allow" often because it's what you need to do. If you find yourself in a unfavorable situation, just think of your body and you will be home. It's kind of like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. All she needed to do was to click her heels together and say there is no place like home and instantly she was home. Could the World of OZ had been her own OBE? Hmmmmmm

Here is a great Sticky by Bedeekin on the SP: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/everything_you_could_ever_want_to_know_about_sleep_paralysis-t38734.0.html

QuoteWhat should be next?
...is that you allow the scene to draw you deeper in. If it doesn't work the first time, do it again. This isn't a race. You have all the time you need. I remember reading once that it took Jurgen Ziewe almost 2 and half hours to start seeing the "other realms".

My first attempt of having a conscious OBE was using a simple candle burning technique that I found on YouTube. I would give you the link, but now the guy that has made it has added all kinds of unnecessary mumbo jumbo to it. When I first saw it, it was simply just staring at a lit candle and concentrating only on the top of the flame. You do this for about 15 minutes. Then you close your eyes and the "imprint" of the candle flame is still there. When I did this I soon felt violent vibrations and I heard a thunderous sound that sounded like a Helicopter was landing on my roof. It scared the "beejeebus" out of me, lol. But I couldn't wait to do it again.

The next times I practiced I used Binaural beats and progressive relaxation to get me relaxed and "in the zone". Then I would begin creating geometric shapes and things and finally that led to a full blown AP. This whole process took normally about 45 minutes to about an hour and 15 minutes to just get to seeing the 3d darkness period.

I then started experimenting with Light/Sound machines, geometric shape imaging, counting numbers, elevator and escalator imaging, basically all kinds of things. I used some of Robert Bruce's "NEW" techniques. I experimented with different things for 2-3 years. Last year I got side tracked by an illness. So, I needed to work on another way to still experience the other realms. This came through Dream Yoga. This was kind of forced on me though. As it turns out the illness became a blessing in disguise. It took me a long time to realize that though. It was quite a battle. It still is, but now I know how to handle it.

After a lot of experimenting I saw that every process I did had one thing in common. They all took my focus away from my physical body. So, I developed "the Doorway" based on my own experimentation through the years to help others. I wanted them to use their own imagination though and to create their own "program" for AP. Program is the right word because you are "entraining" yourself to do this. You are constantly reassuring yourself that this is okay and that this is "real".

Here is a link to "the Doorway". Try it as it is for a month. Then you can start creating anew. There are a number of "triggers" that are hidden in it. Also, I am giving a link to some of the best Binaural Beats I have ever heard. I just started using these ones recently after reading a post by Bluefirephoenix that had a link to another one of their youtube videos. Unfortunately these can't be downloaded using a youtube downloader. You can listen for free, but you have to pay a couple of dollar to download them to your MP3 player, etc. Oh, by the way Thank You Bluefire for the link. I have thoroughly enjoyed these and their LD induction videos are fantastic. I used one the other day to great success.

Getting to the state of the void from a pure meditation takes a long time in my experience. You will probably have little doubt about this state when it happens to you as it is somewhat distinct. You will find that the blackness has a mysterious 3d quality about it and the sensation is that you have lost all perception of this reality; you are only aware of being a consciousness in this space.
Many times there is a feeling/sensation of "hyper awareness" as well in this zone. That's why we always say "you will know it once you get there".

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Spontaneous OBEs
September 29, 2015, 19:08:40
Every time I have a "spontaneous" OBE from the state of sleep paralysis, I feel my legs being touched, then lifted, then I shoot out of my feet. I was curious how many other people experience the same thing.

Last night I had the same thing happen. But this time it only led to the 3D "grainy" darkness. Well, that's all that I was actually consciously aware of until I lost consciousness. Usually I see a full blown scenario after I have a spontaneous OBE.

When you have a spontaneous or have had a spontaneous OBE, how were you "helped" out of your body? I am curious to whether there might be a shared experience here. If there is, then that leads to even more questions about what might be "really" happening here.

The last ten years or so, I have a terrible time getting any sleep if I'm not at home; business trips, even vacations. After the first couple of sleepless nights, I'm so physically exhausted that any sleep afterwards is punctuated by some really crazy dreams. Just last week I was staying in a pretty posh hotel in a really comfy bed, still couldn't sleep fully and had a series of FAs with sensations I had never before experienced: one was a sensation of the bedsheets and comforter being infinitely heavy on my body, another was of the bedsheets or mattress being infinite in every direction...I fail to remember the other sensations I had but know they somehow involved this sense of "infiniteness" and the experiences were "designed" to somehow stretch my awareness...I was grateful for the experience but was just begging for some rest, lol.
First to Plasma. My wife had a problem that she had to take a prescription drug for. She was supposed to take this drug long term. But after one week she stopped taking them. I asked why and she told me she was remembering her Dreams and didn't like to. She has told me "You do what you do, but it's not me for". She wants to go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning without any recall of what happened in her Dreams. She just wants to close her eyes at night, wake up in the morning and begin the next day without any interruption.

EscapeVelocity I share your problem of not being able to sleep properly while away from my home staying in a Motel/Hotel. It wasn't always this way. My occupation for the last 32 years now has had me a regular with Motel/Hotel stays and I never had this problem in the past. Well not as bad as it is now. For the last year I haven't been able to get a good night sleep in any other room/bed but my own.

I have found myself out of body. Awoken many times in full SP. Sometimes I just quickly awake bewildered. My Dreams while away are completely bizarre too. It's like there is some kind of imprint of residual energy in there. I know the Art of projection makes us more aware in every aspect of that word. This is the first thing I can actually say I have found that is not a positive occurrence/effect of being more aware. Well, actually it's the second. The first would be "knowing" things about people that sometimes I prefer I didn't.  :-(

On the list of positives and negatives of Astral Projection and it's effects in general, the positives still far outweigh the negatives.  :-)

Lumaza - I've had quite some success since you recommended the Doorway technique. How rapid my physical awareness starts to shut down and switch into the non-physical is astounding. I think it all has to do with becoming curious about the scenes that are whooshing around behind my closed eyes.
The part I've been getting stuck at is that everything I see still takes on the same color tone as I see when I just close my eyes and look randomly during the day, its sort of like a mauve, dark red/purple with flashes of electric blue to show highlights, which doesn't look realistic to me - although maybe I haven't gone far enough.

Also - when I try to picture the doorway after staring into the blackness for sometime, I can catch glimpses of it, but it always seems to be moving like my perspective is constantly changing, one second its on the right then it switches distance and is far down on the left, its hard to keep track of it. I am supposed to be "seeing" it in blackness correct? Not picturing it in my imagination.
You are doing great Milk!  :-)

The whole point of this technique is to learn how to "hold" a strong NP/other realm focus. Passively focus onto whatever occurs. If it's a color change, a moving scene, whatever may happen allow your curiosity to draw you deeper.

From my experience and others I have talked to that are using this technique, the more you practice this the easier it gets. But also the more bizarre it gets. Like I said above when anything starts to alter from your intended visuals, go with it. It will bring you deeper and deeper and soon you will have totally shifted your focus to this new reality.

Also, close your eyes often during the day to just see what is there. At first it will be just the darkness before your eyes. But after awhile of practicing the above Doorway technique daily, you will find there is a scene already there. Well, it's more like after you have been practicing projecting period for awhile you are more likely to just see something upon simply closing your eyes. This is because you don't have to prove anything to yourself anymore more. You have opened your awareness and now are reaping the rewards for all of your effort.

Now to your answers. The NP/other realms don't always look the same as this physical reality does.. In fact more times than not it is totally different that our current physical reality here.

I normally begin by imagining the "doorway", in all of it's shapes colors, etc.. I do the full cycle until something begins to happen on it's own, something I didn't "intend" on seeing. That's when I turn my focus completely to this new morphing of the scene or whatever is going on. That will always lead to something new and expected. A simple triangle or circle could morph into a full blown scenario, that's if you "allow" it to.

The impression I got from what he described is that his focus is allowing him to increase his peripheral view to the extent that it appears like he has a 3rd person perspective on the scene. I thought this was a common exercise for projection; I have seen it described in documentaries.
I agree with Thaomas here. Many times when I first become aware in a LD I am watching a version or usually a vessel of myself, until I become "it". This especially happens when I first see myself in a flying adventure. First I see a body in front of me and the next thing I know I am that body. The same happens when I see a body on a motorcycle or for some reason a horse. I will first see the action, then I am the rider.
I never could figure out why "horses" are such a regular scene in my APs. I don't ride them here in the physical. One almost killed me when I was 14 by throwing me off it while my foot was still caught in the stirrup. This happened while it was in full gait and led to multiple concussions, facial lacerations and a broken ankle. I guess my horse APs are a way of forgiveness. I didn't blame the horse though. I chalk it up to my own inexperience. It was my first time horse back riding. We were half way across the chosen track and the horse saw the stables in the distance and decided to go back very quickly, lol. That led to me holding on for my dear life until I couldn't hold on any more and found myself being dragged by my ankle the last 20 or so feet. I was unconscious for a few minutes. When I came to I was glad to be alive.

QuoteThis would be quite advantageous since it would allow the fighter to react to things that normal eyes couldn't see. It reminds of the anecdote posted on here a while back where a person was doing this exact same thing to drive a car while in the out of body state.

This would definitely give him a advantage. It would help his "telegraph" his next moves.

I think it was Soarin that said that. It was in the thread named "the Phantom Wiggle". She was talking about flying above the car though.

like when people say its possible to have a oobe or astral project from a lucid dream does that mean that its just possible to turn the attention back to your body before entering another lucid dream then as that seems a pretty pointless step if your already lucid
That's the hard way to do it. You could just ground yourself in your current scenario/LD to improve your awareness. Then just intend/will yourself to be either somewhere else or doing something else. It really all has to do with "intent". You are already experiencing another realm outside of your current reality at the moment. So, just change your "focus" to something else.

With many people their first conscious OBE adventure occurs spontaneously. Once they have had them a couple of time, the need to be in the "real time zone" isn't there anymore. It could be our first adventure is in the "RTZ" because that's what we needed at the moment. You will find with this practice in general, as it is in life as well, that you are never given more than you can handle!

You can do that. But first you need to get over the excitement of just having a other realm experience. That seems to take quite awhile. Perhaps the question I am trying to ask is, should we accept that we do things we do not want to do, or should we fundamentally change our thinking so everything we want to do is always the right thing?
There will always be things that we don't want to do, but do them anyway. You will find that relationships whether by friend, Family or romance are filled with time like these. It could be the "right thing" to do for many reasons. No we don't need to fundamentally change our thinking on that. That's what makes us Human, the ability to reason and accept things are actions for what they are.

QuoteIs a person whose motivation is to become a better person but still recognizes inconvenience to themselves "faking" it from a mind reading perspective?
If you wish to become a better person, you do things to work towards that goal. But you will still recognize inconvenience. It's just that you won't show it on the outside. That's where your "inside voice" comes into play, lol. Yes you are faking it from a mind reading perspective. That's one of the many reasons that "Telepathy" hasn't become a real thing in this current physical reality "yet". But, Telepathy is the chosen mode of conversation in the "other realms". So is quests, tests and puzzles. I think this is because quests, tests and puzzles don't need the use of verbal language. If a entity didn't speak our Human language, they could still get their meaning to you by challenges and quests. It's just that after the fact you need to discern what the actual message they were trying to convey was.

 Hello and Welcome BlueKnights.

It sounds like he is really trying to get your attention. The reason could be as simple as bringing your attention to the fact that you are in another realm at the time. In other words, he could be helping you realize you are Astral Projecting.

Many of us, including myself, had a Guide that helped us at the beginning of our journeys into the other realms. Some of them just appeared out of the blue. But with me the more I learned of the other realms, the less my "mentor" appeared. There were many after him, but they only stayed for a short period of time.

So, now that you have become aware of this individual, it's time that you ask "him" what his purpose in your reality is. Like you said, it could be a guide, it could be someone from your former life, it could also be someone in need and you are their "invisible helper". Only you can find out the answer to this puzzle. The other realms are full of quests, tests and puzzles. It sounds like you are finding that out right now for yourself.

Good Luck!

The only way to beat fear is to prove it to yourself that there is nothing to fear. But as I say, you have to prove that to yourself. Reading posts here and listening to AP videos helps to understand it. But in the end, it is you that must overcome it. Like EscapeVelcocity said here, affirmations help to grant you "permission".

QuoteAlso another thought crossed my mind. Perhaps it's not the time for me to project as there are so many things to learn here, in the earth system. What do you think guys? I understand that motivation or intention is everything, and escape is not a good one.

Hello fellow travellers, hello rainbow,

Let me starrt off by saying thank you very much for all your efforts. I'm like many of you readers trying to project and looking for support. The information provided here are obviously very useful but let me draw your attention towards something perhaps even more important: COMMUNITY. Some of you may take it for granted but the sense of belonging you create in this forum is as important as a successful OBE. Personally, it feels much easier to carry on knowing that guys like rainbow are going through the same struggle. Sure we get tired sometime, sure we give up. What let us pick up where we left of is the sense of community of people sharing the same important mission: elevating consciousness. And let me tell you, there's no better way to evolve than share your experience with a fellow human being (let alone higher beings on the astral planes:)

From now on I will try to share my own struggle and give full support to those who need it.

Happy projecting!
Welcome Tomek. For your first post here you certainly hit a "home run" Definitely worthy of *****.!  :-)

If you need any help here, just ask. Like you said "We are a community that grows/evolves together". My goal here has always been to help others experience the wonder and awe of the Astral. That's my purpose here. Like Szaxx and many others here, I have no problem shifting my focus now. But, it wasn't always that way and this Forum is the reason why I found success. Experienced people here show the "how-to", but the others need to apply the technique themselves.

I know the struggles, so do the other experienced people here. We were once new at it as well. I try to use "empathy" when I post to people here. I feel for them. But, I also know that this can be achieved by everyone, once they "allow" it into their reality. To really be able to allow it you need to link your conscious with your subconscious mind. In other words both conscious and subconscious have to be on the same page. This comes from inner dialect.

Incredible experience. I am fascinated by your mention of "superiors". Is this something that was unique to this dream? The concept sounds a little abstract in the context of this OBE. Do you imagine the superiors as "spirit guides" of some kind of a deep subconscious understanding of what was meant to be achieved in this test?
The Superiors, the "Others", "Guides", they can be known my many names. I believe there is a definite structure in the "NPR", as in rules and if there are rules there must be a structure that keeps those rules. If there wasn't structure there, then why is that most people's descriptions on NDEs seem to follow the same path, as in tunnels with other deceased people in them, etc.? Also another question, many people seem to encounter a "shadow figure" of some kind when they have their first OBE. Now I know it's a fear test. But why is it we all or most of all of us have the same initial fear test? Once again, these questions are hard to answer, unless you enter "structure" into the equation. One day I am going to make a thread here on "structure". I would enjoy hearing other member's opinion on this as well.

Just one last thing to add here about structure n the NPR. If there wasn't structure, then who initiates the Retrievals? Szaxx, I would like to hear your view on that, if you could. Do we just go out blindly search for "lost souls" purely from intent or are we "assigned" them and what about the place we bring them, is that part of our own making as well? This is another thing that many that do Retrievals have in common. The first spontaneous one that we had seemed to be along the same line as many other people that have had them as well. Coincidence? I can't believe I used that word because I don't believe in "coincidences'.

Quote"I acted by impulse instead of reasoning" is how these scenarios have been playing out for me most of the time. After reading this post though I had another OBE that night, yet another one of these hero dreams taking place in a video store from my home town. This time I was faced by a person from my past that gave me a lot of trouble in school. The situation with this individual reached a climax in my final year and I badly wanted to fight this guy but I had to resist because I was a school captain. I have been carrying that event heavily with me ever since and I feel like it may be the reason I keep having these fighting dreams.
These are lessons in forgiveness and everyone has them. Although most people aren't consciously aware of them.

QuoteI think that this post stuck in my mind during the OBE because I was able to resolve the encounter with this person without any violence or trouble. Literally moments later I broke out into a fight with another stranger in the same room. Seems like I learned to respond better to people of my past but I still respond negatively to threatening strangers. No doubt there will be more iterations of this until I learn the lesson :p
A test within a test. You will get used to these. It's like a obstacle course sometimes. Just as you jump one hurdle another one presents itself to be leapt as well, lol!

We have come to this reality to experience. The good, the bad, the ugly, those are all experiences. Of course Love is a experience too, but I personally think people get caught up on this "Love is our only purpose" conversation a bit too much.

When you begin to learn more in depth about Astral Projection, you will see that it is based solely on experiencing as well. You are constantly put through trials, tests and quests that drive that point home.

This is my personal view on this subject and has been shown to me to be correct.

Dolores Cannon was a incredible lady. She kept teaching all the way to her death or transition as I prefer to call it. She gave many people hope. She also answered many questions that others wouldn't. She "heard the call" and helped other's that heard it as well.

That last statement would only be understood by people that knew her work.
