Before I've had this dream, I've been very concerned, slightly obsessed, about ways of contacting and communicating with my guide/higher self/oversoul, whatever the technical term is.

I've had frequent dreams of varying lucidity where the guy comes by and hang out, but not all of MY attempts to find him on my own initiative have been successful.  So I've been feeling insecure and worried regarding this matter, sort of a "How will I find him when I need to?" thing.

Then I had this dream.  In this dream I was somewhat lucid, I knew I wasn't in the physical world and immediately thought, "aha, another chance for me to try and find Kay!" (Kay being his name).

So I walked around in the dreamscape, through the busy streets and buildings and whatnot, feeling more and more panicky as I go, thinking that I would never find him.

Then as I wandered through this school-like building, I moved in front of a window or some kinda reflective surface by chance.  A random urge to inspect myself came up in my mind, and I went from viewing and navigating the dream from a first person's view point to a third person's view.  Much to my surprise, I realized that I WAS him!  He's been with me all along, because he IS me!

I felt very silly, all the nice lucid dreams and projections I've spent looking for him, when there were never any need for me to have done so!

So having realized this, I went on to spend the rest of this particular dream flying, and man, did it feel good.

 Funny, eh?

Mark, don't worry too much about it.  If Moss is an important guy of some kind to you, be he a guide or a higher self or whatnot, you'll surely bump into him in future dreams/projections.  Try to remember to ask him some questions (open ended, preferably with answers that one can't infer from the question) to him.  A good one to try is "what are you?", or "how do you relate to me?".

Nah, don't know the guy in real life.  What happened was I dreamt of him, woke up, went back to bed and had a fully conscious projection with a clear exit.

In the projection I was very lucid and first appeared in some random place.  When I willed myself to find what I was looking for, and was transported in the presence of this person (didn't really expect him to be it) who I've seen in my dreams, the environment was exactly the same as the one where I saw him in the dream earlier that morning.

It's really weird since the projection environment felt like the exact same... world, had the same vibe as the place where I was in my dream that morning.

It was as if even though I've woke up from my dream, the guy still remained in the dream world (as if it was actually a public astral locale; I suspected it may have been) and was still there to be found when I had my projection later that morning.  He was even doing the same thing (both in the projection and the dream).

I know exactly what you are talking about, since I've had the same kinda experience where a person who I don't know in real life shows up frequently in dreams with the qualities you described, such as being independent, constant, and just having a different vibe.

Funny thing is I bumped into this person in an astral projection a short while later.  I was not even intentionally looking for the person, I was looking for something else, and then he turned up and he turned out to be that something else, more or less.

Here's the dream from this morning.

I remember in my dream, I was flying around in different points within a city, checking up on different members of a family.  I distinctly remembered the father, a middle aged, portly black man with a heavy mustache, a young teenage daughter, and possibly some other members.

Somehow in the dream, I was not able to interact with the people and object in that world at all, I was a sort of outsider.  I flew around on my wings, following the member of the family that seemed to require the most help at the time, just quietly guarding them.  How the heck I could've helped them I've no idea, since I was not able to interact with anything in that world at all, no one was even able to see me.  All I did was just following them around and silently sharing the moments of their lives.  I remember in one part when I easily walked through a solid glass window as if I was in an AP.

Strangest thing about the dream was that I genuinely cared for this family that I was guarding, I had a strong, loving sense of care toward them.  One part, where the father was very distressed over something that has happened to the daughter, I placed my hand over his back to comfort him, and surprisingly he seemed to have felt it.  He appeared very puzzled, but also relieved and grateful, as if something miraculous happened and calmed down his fears.

This dream is very strange to me, since I rarely feel strong emotions in my dreams, and this is the first time I've felt this sort of strong sense of care in one.  More unusual is that I am not exactly all that philanthropic in real life, not really the kinda guy that would volunteer to feed the homeless or anything like that.

It just felt so... good and satisfying, to quietly guard and protect and devote my existence to the well being of that family.

I ain't that nice in real life, I swear.  :?

The situation sounds a bit like...

High school girl falls for older boy.
Older boy turn out to be very intimate with another boy.
Girl feels bad, now other boy is demonic and is negatively influencing boy she has crush on.  :p

If the above is not relevant to the situation, I apologize  :D

Now on to the real advice.

Substance abuse, dropping outta high school, the guy you described is bad news, demonic or not demonic.  Typically misery, bad luck, and these sorts of negative things are contagious among people.  Hang around miserable people too much and you start becoming like them.

My suggestion is for you to just stay away from this whole group, you'll do better even if you spend the rest of high school sitting alone at lunch everyday rather than being with them.

Brody?  Don't worry about him.  He makes his own choices, you make yours.  If he's spent his whole life being hate filled and miserable, you ain't gonna magically make everything all right for him through doing some psychic/occult ritual.

My brother spends his whole life hating and being miserable, and no one's been able to help him much.  Any attempts to help him results in the helpers being dragged down inside the black hole he's created around himself.  I've seen it happen with plenty of relatives/friends who tried to help him, and on myself as well.  Take it from someone with personal experience, just stay away from these... walking black holes.

How a tumbler works in theory:

Put in a piece of rock with gems embedded in it.  Put in other pieces of rocks.  The tumbler vibrates, makes it's rocky contents hit against each other, the rocks sorta smash each others up into fine grained pieces/powders, and free the gems up.  The gems, which are much harder than the rocks, would stay intact from the process.

Of course, there's more to it, and accidents with them do happen, but I don't know much more about them since I myself ain't that familiar with them.  They can cost a bit and are not worth it if you only have one piece of rock to tumble anyway.

Edit: A number of people make a hobby out of tumbling, they go out hunting for rocks or buy rocks potentially containing gems and tumble them looking for gems.  It sounds like a fun hobby if you enjoy rocks/minerals and treasure hunting.

Frank, your Focus 3 sounds like an intriguing area.  I would certain love to visit there, do you have any tips on how to shift/phase there from a typical OBE?  I have had a very few number of APs where I was in a public area with other people who seemed independent, but they are quite rare and I would love to increase their occurences.

Hi!  I too, often have projections where I am alone.  There has been two instances when I was looking for an entity in a projection, one succeeded and one failed.  In both cases I simply think of the entity and think that I will be whereever they are.  In the case where it worked, my intention and will behind the thought was very strong and focused, and where it failed, I was a bit over excited and overconfident, and thoughts were all over the place in my head.

There has also been one other instance when someone/thing simply came to me out of the blue, without me wanting or expecting it to come.  He/it humbly asked to talk to me and went on to give advice (good and insightful, too) on a real life situation I was contemplating on at that time.

Here's some of my personal observations about your other question; I've noticed that the environment in a Lucid dream is more unstable and more affected by my personal thoughts than an AP.  In most cases, if I become completely lucid in a LD and says "aha, I'm dreaming!", often it'll end the dream or at least severely warp the dream environment.  I've found once I go beyond a certain level of lucidity in a dream, I end up destroying it.  But in APs, I can be fully lucid and say to others, "hey man, right now my body's lying on my bed in my room, sleeping!" and jack diddly would happen, the world/environment stays as is.

I'm not too familiar with rocks myself, but might a rock tumbler help in this case?

Is that possible? Ethics aside, im sure there are alot of ways to get money from knowledge of the future etc etc..

I guess my main question is Is it wrong to use AP to ensure financial success? I mean i know that as humans we have free will and what you see in the astral is subject to change, looking ahead a few weeks, maybe months to see the stocks sounds possible to me.

Ben

I believe it is possible, though very difficult and not good for actually making a living off of for people of average/so-so AP'ing abilities (like yours truly :P ).  I have seen things in past dreams that later did happen exactly as the dreams describes (though they were completely useless, financially speaking), so I'm certain it's possible.

I don't think it's unethical or wrong.  In my opinion, there's no right and wrong, morality or ethics, it's all just human concepts (they do get annoyingly dogmatic sometimes, don't they?).  If I can do it, and WANT to do it, then heck I'll do it.

Mine first contacted me by showing up in dreams and whatnot before I even knew anything about this whole higher self thing.

Personality wise, he seem very playful, cheery, almost sneaky & mischievous, but good natured in general.

Interesting thing about the communication process with him- He doesn't speak in words much unless I ask him a question.  When he chose to communicate with me on his own initiative, it's always non-verbal methods (up to this point anyway), like a smile, or the way his eyes glint, or by simply tugging me toward some place I should be.  I remember one instance when I asked him what exactly he was, and even though he started answering my questions in words, images simultaneous started showing up in my head to complement his verbal answer.  The images made perfect sense in the OBE (and were actually the more important parts of the answer), but I was not even able to remember most of them when I woke up, except for how they "felt", and that they were indeed, the answer to my question.

Whatever you decide to do, at first make sure your neighbor actually did it.  Don't just go by unsubstantiated rumors in the neighborhood, or "he just looks evil" and whatnot, actually get proof.  There's plenty of (more possible) things that can happen to a cat alone by itself other than an evil cat killer, such as car accidents, animal control, wild predators, and many more things.

I encountered the same thing.  Just keep going at those hands, you'll get the sensations soon enough.

In my projections where I go straight to some non-physical place, I can always move freely and have a good level of lucidity.  However whenever I project into the Real Time Zone, I always am severely paralyzed (Can only move part of body, or move real slowly and sluggishly), and my vision is rarely good, either.

Anyway, I'd appreciate some advice on how to handle projections to the RTZ, and how to make them a bit more productive.

Since she's seem this Corey a number of times in her dreams, can she tell you how she feels when she sees him?  Does he seem like a stranger, or an old friend?  Is there a feeling of overwhelming camaraderie/closeness when she sees him?

What I got:

You approach the world with reserve because unconsciously, and perhaps consciously, you like to be in control. You keep your emotions to yourself and you may seem mysterious or enigmatic to others.

You're often very cautious about truly expressing yourself. Even people who have known you for some time may find it hard to get close to you.

I don't think love's the only thing you can use to create a "soul", though.  Servitors and egregores can be considered primitive (or maybe even not) souls of some kind, and they can be created through all kinds of strong emotions and desires.

Edit:  Just noticed you were asking for experience relating to creation.  I've played around with servitor creations, and the emotion/energy I used to start the spirit is hate, annoyance and frustration.  It worked in that it did create a servitor whose presence I can feel, and it even fulfilled its job very successfully for a couple of weeks.  Then it sorta fell apart/faded away, due to reasons I am not certain of, but I suspect it could've been my own bad "programming", or possibly outside influences or a mixture of anything.

Don't burn it, take a picture of it and sell it on eBay!

In your ad, tell people of the wonders of the mighty "SoulStick", and its immunities to the awesome forces (what was it, electrical outlet and a fire lighter?) of nature and whatnot.  It'll definitely be sold, and that'll be extra allowance money for ya  :P

Could you elaborate on this connection you felt with him?  How'd you feel when you saw him first, and whatnot.

Interesting question, I'll try to ask him that the next time I bump into him.  "Hey dude, coincidentally, are you also my subconscious?"

Can they do anything, good or bad, to me there?

Nah, not unless you give them the power to.  Yell at them, "hey hey, do you like what you see!" or something to lighten up your own anxiety/fear.

Dansk, I often have a different set of memories in my dreams as well.

Also, in reply to the orginal post, I do have very detailed dreams.  There are entire worlds with rules of their own that I've seen in my dreams.  Weird epic dreams with a big story line and many characters.

There was one bizarre dream where I was a vampire, rallying up a rag-tag army of dis-content people to rebel against a zombie king.  I was sorta the lesser/weaker of the two evils in that dream.  I remember that each people that joined my side had their own little personal story on why they hated the king.  One one-handed, gambling-addict hobo fellow simply joined me because I promised to build a big casino once I win against the king (who does not allow gambling).

There were even a zombie queen, who hated me on a personal level.  Apparently I was responsible for allowing the king to capture her and turn her into his queen, back when she was still human.

ps- I don't even like vampires, dunno why I was one in that one dream.
